...~Love Me My Lord Duke~...
...~oOo0oOo~...
Evening day came.
I am currently in a large dining room alone. With a long dining table and empty chairs lined up on my left and right.
"Is there anything else you need Madam?" ask Ivone who is standing next to me.
"No, this is enough. Thank you for your hard work, Ivone," I replied, looking up at Ivone with a smile.
"It's not a problem, ma'am" said Ivone.
I glanced at the large, antique-looking wall clock near the door. Time shows seven o'clock past. I smiled faintly as I scooped up the soup in my bowl and then brought the spoon closer to my lips to taste it.
'What am I expecting now? Where could the cold man come.'
I breathe out slowly. It seemed Ivone was aware of that, I glanced at Ivone secretly the worry clearly drawn on his innocent face.
"Mrs.." call Ivone.
I immediately turned to her, "What's the matter Ivone?"
"Did the Madam know? The town hall is at a festival for the next week. Honestly, the waiters call it the night market. Is Madam interested?" Ivone sounded very enthusiastic.
"Night market?.." I asked.
"yes Madam. There's a lot of people coming up, all of them will take to the streets to enjoy the atmosphere of the bustling night market."
'I haven't been to the night market in a long time since I fell into this world. I'm very curious. Of course I can't miss this opportunity.'
"Ivone, can you help me?"
Ivone looked at me doubtfully, I waited for his answer with a hopeful look and a wide smile.
"I will help the Madam as much as I can" Ivone replied, after taking a deep breath.
'It looks like Ivone knows what I'm thinking.'
I asked Ivone for help pretending to be me, and told him to lie on my bed until I got home from the town hall. At first Ivone did not want to, he was afraid how if it was discovered by Carxen.
But I convinced Ivone by saying that Carxen wasn't home.
I was in the carriage, looking out the window at the stars strewn across the sky, "I can't wait to get to the town hall."
It didn't take long for me to reach the town hall. Because the distance of the city hall with the Callisto residence is not too far away.
'It's true what Ivone said. There's a lot of people here. Some people wear face masks, just like me.'
'Let's conclude that the people wearing the masks are those nobles who deliberately hide their identities.'
I walked slowly while enjoying the atmosphere in the night market. Sometimes I stop by to see what is sold in small shops. I stopped at a tavern selling all sorts of equipment, there was one thing that caught my attention.
"Excuse me, sir," called me to a burly middle-aged man, wearing a black headband.
"Did anything catch your attention, young lady?" ask the brown-haired, eyed man.
I waltzed into the man's tavern, and walked to the corner of the tavern, "This is Mister..." I raised a stick made of chrome material, about 150 cm long, weighing about 1kg more.
'This stick is really similar to the baton stick I have. It's just that no accessories decorate it.'
"Sorry Miss, but that's-"
"I'll pay you a high price!" my cetus.
"Haha, even though Miss gave me a lot of money, I-"
"I'll pay anything!" my sergeant cut his word.
The man was seen scratching his nape, "Miss, listen up first, I'm not selling the stick."
"Eh? Whahuh? You didn't sell it? Why?"
"Right, Miss can have it for free," the man threw a small smile at me.
"really that? You won't regret it? I'm really gonna take her home, you know..."
The man chuckled softly, "Right Miss. I won't take my words back."
I smiled hearing his words. Unfortunately I don't like to receive free stuff for no reason.
"Show me your hand for a moment" I suggested, offering my hand.
"Hand?... What's it for, Miss?" he asked, extending his hand before me.
"Take this," I said after putting a bag of gold coins in his hand.
"But Miss..." He seemed a little surprised by my actions.
"Thank you for giving me the stick." After saying that I immediately left the shop.
