...~Love Me My Lord Duke~...
...~oOo0oOo~...
"Aah!" I jerked.
Like a bee sting, my wrist suddenly felt pulsating as if it was being pressed down by a hot iron. The number 47 on my wrist became bright red.
Water felt on the surface of my skin, sweat began to pour slowly all over my body, pain that I could not bear made my body tremble. I held my wrist tightly, trying to ease the pain. But it has absolutely no effect.
Carxen instantly pulled my wrist and pressed against my painful wrist using his thumb, "Hngh!!" I groan in pain.
I looked at him with my eyes clear, his forehead shrinking at my reaction.
"Le-let go!...I-It hurts.." My voice sounded raucous.
"Hold on."
Carxen held my wrist tightly and pulled me by force to go with him. I bit my lips, trying not to make a groaning sound as it endured the pain.
I don't know where Carxen's taking me. He kept walking at a fast pace without caring for me who was having trouble adjusting his footsteps behind.
I pulled Carxen's shirt my hand was still shaking, "A-I...I'm not strong anymore." I said slowly with a still trembling voice.
Carxen looked back at me, his hand still tightly grasping my wrist. She immediately carried me bridal style.
I closed my eyes slowly. Darkened. My consciousness slowly decreased and disappeared.
Then---
"Carxen.." I muttered.
My wrist feels warm, not as painful as at the beginning. I felt someone's finger touch. It looks like someone is rubbing my wrist.
In my semi-conscious state, I tried to open my eyes slightly. Although I can still faintly see Carxen sitting on the chair right next to my bed.
'Why is he still here? Is he worried about me?'
I opened my eyes slowly, Carxen's finger still felt, making me fall into comfort, ushering me into the puddle of unconsciousness and immersing me deeper and deeper.
Right now I was staring out the balcony looking at the charming sky. The view of the sky looks amazing through the presence of orange color that gushes from the sunset. The curtains fluttered in the cold wind.
"Mrs!" I immediately turned my head, and looked towards Ivone who had just entered. Ivone looked at me with slick eyes, as if surprised he immediately ran towards me.
"Finally Madam woke up." said Ivone while wiping her teary eyes.
I smiled slightly at Ivone, "I just fell asleep for a while, why are you so moved..."
"Mrs slept for 3 days. How can I not be sad and worried."
I gasped at Ivone's words.
"Ap-What?! 3 days?!" I looked at Ivone with my frowned frown. Ivone just nodded slowly without a word.
My feelings are mixed. I became restless. I checked my left wrist. And sure enough the numbers there changed. My eyes widened as soon as I saw the numbers that were clearly plastered there.
" 44..." I couldn't take my eyes off those numbers.
"Mrs. Is Madam okay?" ask Ivone while touching my hand.
"The festival! What about the festival?!" my sergeant stared at Ivone.
Ivone dodged my gaze with condolence, "Tomorrow is the last night of the festival Madam." he said softly.
"Be-Tomorrow?..."
'What about Kyle? Is he waiting for me? Anyway, I have to go over there tonight and explain it to Kyle.'
"Madam," call Ivone hesitantly. He was trying to avoid eye contact with me.
"That's Madam, right? Stick Master people are talking about lately?" Ivone raised his head and looked at me with a glare.
I paused for a moment while taking my eyes off, "How did you know?" I watched under the couch where I put my cane.
"When I cleaned the Madam's room, I found a stick under the sofa. I was immediately convinced that the Stick Master the servants were talking about was Madam" Ivone said.
I sighed softly then looked at Ivone, "I can't hide anything from you apparently..."
