...~Love Me My Lord Duke~...
...~oOo0oOo~...
My eyes were fixed on a black-robed person in the middle of the crowd. A masked man who stood by crossing his arms in front of his chest while looking at me.
I kept staring at the mysterious person intensely and for quite a while. His chin and jaw line reminds me of someone. Right, the strange thing in my mind is Carxen.
'Where maybe that guy was him.'
The audience still gave me a big round of applause. I waltzed away and immediately came down from the stage through the back stairs.
A handsome man came to me. His golden yellow hair rippled in the night breeze, glaring at his amethys gem-like eyes focused on both of my eyes.
"If I may know, what is Miss' name?" her voice sounded melodious, she asked with a soft tone of voice.
"I'm Viola. If I may know, who is this Master?" I looked at him curiously.
He lowered his head slightly, "Include me Kyle, the person in charge of this theater," then he lifted his head and looked at me with a gentle smile.
I scratched my nape because I felt awkward, "Ah, so you're in charge here." I concluded, trying to melt the atmosphere.
I wondered why he was talking to me.
"really. I was so amazed to see Miss Viola's performance just now" Kyle said, looking enthusiastic.
"Thank you Mr. Kyle, I appreciate it," I said, then I immediately turned my gaze in the other direction, trying to set boundaries.
"Take this, Miss." Kyle pulled my hand and handed me a bag of coins in my hand.
"Master, I can't accept this." I gave it back to Kyle.
Kyla again smiled gently at me, "If Miss really thanks me. Please accept this." Kyle handed the coin back to my hand.
I accepted it condolently, "Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Kyle," for feeling bad, I then gave a smile to Kyle.
"Together Miss Viola," he concluded with a warm smile.
"Because it's getting late, I'm sorry, Mr. Kyle."
When I was about to turn around Kyle's hand immediately restrained my wrist, "Miss Viola."
I flinched and turned to Kyle. "Can Miss Viola perform tomorrow?" ask Kyle.
I immediately pulled my wrist from Kyle. "I will pay Miss Viola double, no, even triple, every time Miss performs" he concluded, looking at me expectantly.
I'm so glad Kyle offered to keep me on stage. The problem isn't with me, it's with Carxen.
Whether I can stay out and in quietly during the festival goes on without Carxen's knowledge. Can I keep tricking Carxen to the end. That's my consideration right now.
"...Viola's."
"Miss Viola!"
"Aah!" I woke up from my daydream and looked at Kyle's face that was getting closer to mine.
I reflexively stepped back one step, "For the time being I have not been able to give a definitive answer, Mr. Kyle. Let's just see tomorrow."
"I mean Miss Viola..." He deliberately hung his words.
I took a slow breath, "I mean, if tomorrow I come here, it means I accept Mr. Kyle's offer," I said slowly.
The instant Kyle's countenance brightened, "I understand Miss Viola." He sounds very excited.
I said goodbye to Kyle before I finally walked off the stage.
I don't need the money Kyle promised me. I have absolutely no financial problems, because Carxen has guaranteed all my needs. If I wanted to I could have wasted money at any time, because the Callisto family treasure is so abundant.
I accepted Kyle's offer because I realized that the opportunity to perform on stage like that wasn't going to come twice. I don't even know if I'll still be alive or not in the future.
My wrist is now showing the number 48. I just smiled and looked at the numbers.
From behind the window of the carriage I sighed with fury. Thinking about the rest of my life getting shorter and shorter.
"How do I make that cold-blooded man fall in love...?" I said slowly, I don't know who the sad question is for.
