Love Me Please, Mas Duda

Love Me Please, Mas Duda
10 - R A H A S I A

In a luxurious apartment, a young man was sound asleep in a comfortable and expensive bed. But the softness of his bed was not able to dispel a nightmare that always haunted him.

The young man began to get nervous. His temples began to sweat. His originally deep sleep became unsettled.

The young man had a bad dream. So bad that it made him delirious.

"To..long..."

In his dream, the young man heard a groan for help. The accident a year ago was not a dream. That is a reality that has been chasing him until now.

"To..longs... A.ku..."

The young man stood up while looking at a shaggy car almost into the abyss. The young man was still unmoved without doing anything.

"Sister! Come fast!"

A girl's voice made her realize. But the young man approached the car that had just been in the accident. The young man recognized the car that had just collided with the car that belonged to his cousin's sister.

Her footsteps stopped when she saw a woman in the car. The young man recognized the woman.

"To..longs... Ra.sha... .long... A.ku..."

The shattered car glass made the young man hear the groans of the woman who called his name.

"Sister! C'mon fast! We need to get out of here!"

The brother kept calling him.

"Did you know him?"

The young man looked at his sister. He must decide immediately. He will be an angel or a bad man.

"Sister! We have to leave soon! People will be coming here soon!" The younger brother finally pulled his hand and left the two cars that had just collided.

The young man's eyes looked at an unconscious girl who was in the driver's seat in the younger brother's car. The decision the young man made him have to keep a big secret all his life.

...***...

His breath hunts down when he finally awakens from his nightmare. He glanced at his bedside. At three in the morning.

Yes, after the incident a year ago, the man who is none other than Rasya always woke up at three in the morning. He rubbed his face rough.

"I'm sorry, Nola. I'm sorry..."

One mistake he ever made made him hold a very deep regret. But it's all too late.

Rasya woke up from his sleep. He chose to do the activity until the morning really showed the light. Since that incident, he has chosen to leave the house and live in an apartment.

At six in the morning, Rasya struggled in the kitchen and made breakfast after exercising. While cooking, he contacted the assistant to find out his schedule today.

Rasya made a simple meal for him to eat as a breakfast menu this morning, pancakes and a glass of milk. His eyes glared as mouthfuls of food entered his mouth.

Suddenly he remembered Dea. The girl who had made him have a pent-up regret and also a secret. How could he live his life in peace after what he did?

Sometimes Rasya asks himself. How could he have done that to the two women?

Rasya finished his breakfast the next morning. He was getting ready to go to the office. This time he will visit his father's office first before teaching at the campus.

Rasya exited his apartment room in his formal suit. He walked straight to where his car was parked.

"Good morning, Mr. Rasya," said an apartment security guard.

"Morning, Sir."

"Oh yes, this is the flower of your order is ready." A cleaning service officer joined the chat.

"Ah yes, thank you." Rasya received a bouquet of white lilies from the hand of the cleaning service.

"I'll excuse you then" said Rasya.

"Good, sir."

The two men looked at Rasya's departure. They were a little bit gossiping about the young lecturer.

"It's been a year Mr. Rasya always ordered flowers. Who are the flowers for, sir?" ask the cleanign service officer to the security guard.

"I don't know either. It may be his lover" replied the original security guard.

"But he was never seen taking women into his apartment. And when I cleaned her room, there was absolutely no woman-smelling stuff in there."

"That's it. Back to work there! You even talk to gossip. Just let him live like that. Maybe he's happier with his life now."

The two men finally ended the conversation about the young lecturer.

Meanwhile, Rasya began to drive forward his car while glancing at the flower bouquet beside him. He's going somewhere.

It was still 07:30 in the morning and he had already arrived at the courtyard of a public funeral. He got out of the car with a bouquet of flowers that he always ordered.

"Good morning, sir. You've come?" A caretaker of the tomb who had been paid by him to keep his mouth shut about his arrival to the cemetery.

Rasya just nodded and stepped foot towards the tomb that he had been visiting for a year. He placed the bouquet of lilies on top of the tomb.

"I've had nightmares all year. The same dream on the day of the accident."

Rasya's eyes warmed. Puddles of tears began to wash his eyes.

"If only that time..." Rasya's voice choked. He immediately wiped away the clear circle that was about to fall.

Rasya chose to leave after a little talk with Nola's tomb. Pain and regret always haunts him. But he realized that time would never be repeated.

...***...

At the hospital, Dea had recovered and was now sitting leaning back. A doctor examined his condition.

"How, Doc?" Shady asked who was more curious than Dea.

"Mrs Midea can go home. But remember, food intake and also adequate rest must be maintained. Also don't get too stressed and think about the heavy stuff" the doctor said.

"Good, Doc. Thank you." Thank you."

Dea was silent and Shady replied. Shady escorted doctors and nurses out of the room. Then he came back and found Dea who was still reluctant to look at him.

"Thank God you're allowed to go home."

Dea did not answer. He was busy looking the other way that Shady wasn't there.

"Umm, then I'll take care of his administration first. You prepare!  Do I need to help?"

"No need, Mom. I can do it myself." This time Dea answered.

Shady nodded and stepped out.

"Mas!" His steps stopped as Dea called out to him.

"What's wrong?"

This time Dea looked at Shady. "Thank you for taking care of me."

Shady smile. A smile that he rarely showed.

"That's my job." Shady turned around and left the room.

Dea sighed. "He said it?" Mumbled Dea with a bitter smile.

Dea got out of bed and tidied up her things. Infusion hose that has not been installed makes it free to move.

While tidying up his belongings, the door of his room was knocked on.

"Who is? Why didn't you come in right away after knocking on the door?" muttered Dea who felt a little strange. Because if it's a hospital officer, usually go straight in after knocking on the door.

Dea opened the door and saw someone there.

"Sir Rasya?" Dea's eyes are perfectly rounded.

"Hi, sorry to interrupt. Can I come in?"

"Eh?! Ah yeah. Please, Sir." Dea is still confused by Rasya's arrival.

"You're better?" ask Rasya.

"I-yes, Sir. I've been allowed to go home today" Dea replied nervously.

"You look confused."

"Eh? Ah, that... I was just wondering how did you come here?" ask Dea curiously.

"Did Shady not say anything to you?"

Dea looks confused.

"You passed out on campus. And I'm the one who took you to the hospital. I'm sure you don't know because you're unconscious. I thought Shady told you that."

Rasya deliberately provoked Dea's reaction when he mentioned Shady's name in front of him.

"So, the father who helped me? Sorry, Mister. I don't know. Thank you for helping me. I don't know what to reply with." Dea appears to be squeezing the clothes he wears. Not because of nervousness with the arrival of Rasya. But more to the uneasy because it turns out Rasya knows Shady.

Dea wonders how Rasya knows Shady. Dea is also afraid that Rasya will find out about her marriage to Shady.

"Oh yeah, what's your relationship with Shady? Why did he come when the hospital called your family?" Rasya's question made Dea aware of his daydream.

"Eh?!"

Rasya lied a little to dig up information from Dea. He wants to know what the secret is between Dea and Shady. Why should Shady cover up the truth about Dea's release from prison?

Dea's getting restless. He was confused to answer honestly or lie. But Dea was not used to lying. Rasya would have known right away if Dea had told a lie.

"He's... She is..." Dea's answer was decapitated.

While outside the room, Shady who had finished taking care of the administration instead fell silent after knowing that Dea was with Rasya. He abandoned his intention to enter and chose to eavesdrop on Dea and Rasya's talks. Shady gulped his saliva waiting for the answer Dea was about to throw.

Will Dea tell the truth about her marriage to Shady or will she choose to lie?
