S2 - Amanda's Rejection
After the terror case that befell Amanda and Arshad subsided. Kardi, as the village chief in village C, was relieved. Actually Kardi knows who is behind the terror incident, but because Arshad asked Kardi not to extend the problem, so now everyone acts as if nothing happened.
On the other hand, Juragan Sodik who actually still holds a grudge against Arshad, wants to return to avenge his heartache because it was humiliated by the doctor. But Juragan Sodik undoes his intention to return back to the actions of Arshad.
The Sodic scribe knew that Arshad was not an indiscriminate person. His family in the city cannot be underestimated. And Juragan Sodik does not want his name to get worse in the community of his own village.
Now the restless one is Ardian, the village chief's son who harbors feelings for Amanda. Since learning that Amanda works at Arshad's house, Ardian is worried that the seeds of love will eventually arise in Amanda's heart for Arshad. And vice versa.
So now Ardian is persuading the father to immediately propose to Amanda.
"Sir, when are we going to propose to Manda officially?" ask Ardian.
Kardi looked at her son. "Did Amanda take your feelings, son? Hasn't Amanda always rejected you? How could you propose to her? Where would you put your face if Amanda rejected you again?"
Kardi refused Ardian's request. For him, the good name that he has been keeping is more important. Amanda works at Arshad's house. It could be that Arshad helped Amanda again to solve her problem.
"Father won't take any chances, son. It's best to drop your intention to propose to Amanda or to approach her."
Ardian did not accept his father's statement. "But why, sir?"
"Already, Son. Do you know who helped Amanda yesterday when she was in trouble with the Sodik boss?"
"Know. The guy who works as a doctor, right? And now Manda works at the man's house. Looks like the guy approached Manda on purpose, sir."
The cardi shook slowly. "You're the father of high school in the city but your thinking is still a village. You don't want to talk about this anymore. Forget about Amanda. Find a woman who's worth you, son. The highly educated too. Don't just graduate from Junior High."
Ardian was really upset by his father's attitude. Until whenever he will not be willing if Amanda is owned by someone else.
Amanda works as usual at Arshad's house. Working hours until the afternoon or until Arshad returned home after reviewing the construction of the clinic. Sometimes Arshad also helps residents who need medical personnel. Arshad is ready to help without asking for a penny.
But the results he got were amazing. The villagers appreciated Arshad's kindness. They often sent their produce to Arshad's house. As a result, Amanda often cooks food from the produce that was sent.
That afternoon Amanda was going home. Ardian unexpectedly comes to Arshad's house to pick up Amanda.
"Eh, Mas Ardian. Where are you going, Mas?"
"You're picking you up."
"Okay, sorry. I'll bring a bike. So, I can't go with Mas Ardian on the bike."
Not losing his mind, Ardian chose to line up Amanda who was pedaling her bike until she arrived at the girl's house.
"Thank you, Mum. But next time don't do this. I don't feel good if anyone sees me. This is the son of the village chief. So, I'm always in the spotlight." Amanda didn't mean to hurt Ardian. But he is also uncomfortable if he gets an unpleasant look from the villagers.
"Don't hesitate, Manda. I told you I'd fight until you accepted my feelings."
Amanda dumbfounded. "Kok Mas Ardian said that? I respect Mas Ardi as Mr. Kardi's son. But, if for that... Sorry Mas. I can't. I haven't thought about that. I still want to serve my Father. If there's nothing else that Mas Ardi wants to talk about, I go in first. Excuse me!"
Again and again Ardian had to swallow the pill of disappointment. It turns out Amanda's not an easy girl to woo. Very different from the city girl he had known in college.
"Until now I won't let you go, Manda. Even though I have to compete with that doctor!"
