S2 Chapter 39

A few days later.

Luke managed to find a new headquarters for the Gold Dragon. Today was the first day Zeroun and Emelie visited the Gold Dragon army. Not only visiting, but they will also stay inside the new headquarters. Quite different from the location that Zeroun chose before.

This time Luke chose a place that had a wide courtyard. He did not want the enemy's surprise attack not to be realized as it had been a few days ago.

“Good night, Boss. Forgive me for not finding a traitor in our gang,” said Lukas who seemed aware of his mistake.

Emelie held onto Zeroun's stocky arm while watching everyone's faces. The woman was also very curious about the face of the traitor who had been meant by her husband. That night Emelie wanted to see the person's face.

“I let him stay alive for considering his services all this time. Me and Emelie want to rest,”, Zeroun said without protesting again. The man grabbed Emelie's hand and took her away from the room. He seemed unconcerned about how Lana and Luke felt that night.

Emelie stared at Lana's face briefly before following Zeroun's footsteps. Just a few days ago Emelie saw Lana crying bitterly for the loss of Alika, but tonight she gets a much tougher test of life. Emelie looks unbearable when her husband treats Lana in such a way.

Luke looked at Lana's face. The man always believed what Zeroun said. But that night he doubted. They were in a position like this. When the people closest to them betray, they must get rid of it immediately. Not with Lana. Lukas is quite sure, if now his lover is not on the side of the enemy team.

“You're the one who left. I hope you're okay out there,” said Mia before leaving Lana and Luke who are still sculpting.

The entire Gold Dragon army also left Lana and Luke. Now only a couple of lovers face each other. Lana's tears have stopped. She did not want to look weak from crying.

“Wait,” chirps Luke. The man walked over to Lana and hugged Lana so tightly, “I know you're innocent. Tell me you didn't betray us.”

Luke doesn't know if he really believed Lana because Lana was right or because she was blind because of love. Her heart refused to be abandoned by Lana. She wanted Lana to be by her side forever.

“I don't want to say anything. Free,” replied Lana with a million disappointments in her heart.

Luke would not have been able to defend her and willingly sacrifice going with her. The situation is not safe. If Luke chose to go and accompany him, it would be the same as letting Zeroun and Emelie be in danger. Lana is not willing if Zeroun and Emelie are in danger. What else until separated and wretched.

“You really want to leave me?” luke said with a pretty serious face.

“I'll be waiting for you somewhere. You should meet me when you finish this mission.” Lana holds Luke's cheek with a forced smile, “I love you.”

“I'll take you somewhere.” Luke pulled Lana's hand to take the woman away from the Gold Dragon's headquarters. Tonight he wants to be with Lana until tomorrow the sun comes back.

Until the evidence he has is enough to defend Lana, then he will go back to meet Lana and bring the woman in the Gold Dragon again, Although his heart is very sad, but Luke is trying hard. His great love for Lana made him believe that the woman he loved would never have betrayed him.
