MNB CHAPTER 98 - Lowering Ego
Keenan and Tessa return to the apartment, keeping each other quiet due to their mutual prestige. When they sleep, they turn their backs on each other which makes them unable to close their eyes.
"I'll start work tomorrow so I'll be busy." Keenan opened his voice, still turning his back on his wife.
"Alright," Tessa replied indifferently.
Tessa is sad because she is going to live alone and lonely.
That night, they slept without a warm hug as usual.
And the next morning, Keenan wakes up first before Tessa, he prepares alone to leave for the office.
But, before leaving, Keenan kissed his wife's forehead. He stared at Tessa's peaceful face in sleep then shook his head.
"Remember your expensive sale, Kee," he murmured.
Keenan rushes away before Tessa wakes up and she does it for days. Keenan will leave early in the morning and then come home at midnight when Tessa is asleep.
"She was completely avoiding me" Tessa said sadly.
"Who's avoiding you?" flo asked when he heard Tessa's complaint.
The two were in the boutique to try on the reception party clothes that had been ordered.
"I punished Kee but she seemed to avoid me completely" continued Tessa who missed her husband. Usually he would hold back and not be this emotional.
"Am I just teasing her, huh? But not the teasing that markets, flirting in an elegant way so it's as if that's us not flirting!"
Flo frowned then chuckled, it was like during the marriage with Axe, she never teased her husband. Without being teased alone, Axe always wanted to touch her especially when she teased her husband.
"Maybe that's not what you need" Flo commented later.
Flo who stood looking at her dress now sat down near Tessa. The woman, who was already three heads, began to analyze the relationship between Keenan and his sister-in-law.
"You've known each other before, so you assume you know everything about your partner,"
"So, you always think about what is in your head without asking, finally you think of each other negatively first when not necessarily all you think is true,"
Flo expressed his analysis and in retrospect did Tessa and Keenan's relationship like that. Overthinking each other.
"Fix your relationship like that before you have children, when you have children, their first teacher will be their parents,"
"You know, Raphael has to kiss my armpits every night before he goes to bed because he's following his daddy,"
"Imagine it, if Axe and I were going to take a little trouble for sure we would fight a lot and Raphael would copy that,"
Ah, every time you talk to Flo or Silver, Tessa must feel stifled. Though previously Tessa is famous for being a secretary of perfectionism but for matters of life, she is very lay, probably because since childhood Tessa does not have a family.
"I want to see my husband now, I trust you with the party, sister" said Tessa rushing out of the boutique.
Tessa goes to the company where her husband is, she lowers her ego and relents in favor of the dream household.
When Tessa gets to the same time as lunch.
"Ped, I'm downstairs, is my husband in his room?" tanya Tessa wants to confirm Keenan's whereabouts through Pedro. Don't let Keenan have lunch outside.
At that moment, Pedro hardened the call so Keenan could hear it.
"What do I have to answer, boss?" whispered Pedro.
"Jawab I'm very busy" Keenan replied with a smile.
