MNB CHAPTER 111 - The Thousandth Night
Kevin who was behind the scenes frowned in one go. Previously Keenan asked her for help to take care of the money problem that Jeremy was hiding.
The funds are actually already Keenan for, which needs to return to the company and which ones Keenan needs to return to his employees.
While the rival company that invited Jeremy to cooperate was already Keenan blacklist.
But, instead of calling the authorities, Keenan was curious, why Jeremy and his men did that, even though they had all worked long enough in the company.
"What's he doing?" muttered Kevin.
Tessa who was next to the man gave some files to Kevin. "Read this!"
"Jeremy has a cancer-stricken child so he needs more money to get treatment and his men have almost the same life problems, too,"
"Actually Keenan could have thrown them all into prison but with careful consideration, he chose to release and fire them, instead,"
"They're all the backbone of the family if they go to jail, what's the fate of their family?"
Tessa explains everything at length to Kevin, according to the previous agreement, Keenan talks anything to his wife first.
"Really's? Is that really the Keenan I know? I didn't expect him to think that far" Kevin commented.
"Yes, he always gives surprises" Tessa replies in tears. "I'm always sure he'll be a wise leader!"
Then Tessa came out from backstage, at Jeremy's show and his men were told to leave.
Keenan left who gave a speech so that the audience listened.
"I'm sorry for the mess before, I just wanted to teach Jeremy and his men a lesson, maybe social sanctions are enough. You can say I'm stupid but there's something that can't be revealed, let me just endure it" Keenan said there.
Of course, Tessa does not accept that, she goes up on stage and tells what the reason behind Keenan not wanting to imprison Jeremy and his men.
"Didn't we sometimes have to wear our hearts when we do things?" tessa defended her husband.
A silent atmosphere but then boisterous applause rang out at the venue as all gave appreciation to Keenan's actions.
The party continued with a dance and fireworks. It was a memorable night for everyone.
"Thank you for everything" Keenan said, clasping Tessa's hand, his eyes focused on the fireworks that exploded in the night sky. "You're turning me in a much better direction!"
"You changed me!" Tessa leaned her head against her husband's shoulder. "I'm also grateful!"
Sebastian and Luke saw the couple from a distance. They were so jealous to see him.
"That's called the real true love, Bass," Luke said.
"Yes, I will stop looking for true love because real love comes by itself" said Sebastian wise.
"Don't say anything that makes me want to vomit, we better give our present" said Luke, who wanted to give Keenan something.
They join Tessa and Keenan, who still enjoy fireworks.
"What?" ask Keenan.
"Just want to give a little gift" Luke replies, giving him a box.
Keenan opened the box and he immediately tightened his molars because his two friends always gave gifts beyond expectations.
"It is a safety with high thickness level, no leaking-leak. We knew you couldn't buy it yourself so we bought it as your thousandth night's gift" Sebastian added.
