MNB CHAPTER 16 - Challenge
Tessa walks into the venue, the girl goes to the catering. He wanted to fill his stomach with some cake.
"Tessa.." call someone.
When Tessa turned her head, she saw Kevin was already standing behind her.
"I've been looking for you since, apparently you're here" Kevin said, looking into Tessa's performance tonight. "You're so beautiful, Tessa!"
"Thanks. You want some cake?" Tessa offered Kevin a cake.
"Can!" kevin still wants to be close to Tessa.
After eating some cookies, Tessa and Kevin take a drink and join their friends.
"It looks like tonight's show, reporters aren't allowed in,"
"But there are still paparazzi lurking, let alone many businessmen, artists and models!"
That was their conversation, Tessa just kept quiet because her eyes could not stop staring at Keenan and Bella who seemed increasingly familiar at the party.
"It looks like your boss found a new prey" commented Kevin who looked at Tessa's line of sight.
"I think so!" Tessa gulped her drink down.
Suddenly the sound of music turned into a romantic music. It was time for the dance.
Axe and Flo as the lead of the night begin the dance. They danced so intimately, they seemed to have forgotten that they were being seen by hundreds of eyes.
In order to save her brother's reputation, Keenan invites Bella to dance. Another couple also took to the dance floor.
"Tessa, would you like to dance with me?" kevin asked with one hand out.
Tessa nodded. "Of course," he said received a helping hand from Kevin.
Tessa and Kevin join the dance floor.
"Why? aren't they just dancing like us!" sahut Bella while draping both hands on the sturdy neck of Keenan. "You have a relationship with your secretary?"
"Nothing! It's just that Tessa just broke her heart!" Keenan is actually also confused as to what kind of reason, essentially he does not like to see Tessa with Kevin.
They were unaware there was a paparazzi in disguise and took their portrait.
The dance is getting more exciting because the host asks the dance participants to exchange partners.
Keenan takes Bella to Tessa so she can exchange partners with her secretary.
One round of dancing, all participants instantly switch partners.
Tessa was surprised to pair with Keenan when their distance was quite far.
"Oh, so this is why you're dressing up desperately just for Kevin!" sindir Keenan's.
"If so, why, boss? Isn't that none of your business" said Tessa not to lose.
"I've warned you so many times that you should be careful of men" growled Keenan disliked.
"So far Kevin is much better than you, boss. He can be appreciative and not selfish like someone" Tessa said.
"You're insinuating me, aren't you?" Keenan wanted to scream but he remembered the place.
"If it means yes, do you want to sleep with your date tonight, boss? If so, I don't want to buy you safety and accompany you just to listen to you make love, it seems like from now on we have to set limits for work and personal needs!" reveal Tessa who made Keenan's eyes round.
"Is all this because of Kevin?" ask Keenan riled.
"Kevin had nothing to do with it, I just thought you should be able to live without my help, Boss," Tessa replied firmly.
"You and everyone are the same, always underestimating me! I can live on my own without the help of all of you!" dejected Keenan.
"Oh yeah? Prove that, starting with the little things. Learn to buy your own underwear tomorrow!" challenge Tessa.
