Chapters 13. Ego

"What are you doing!" Theo brushed aside my hand, making me fall down before him.

But I didn't give up. Getting back up, I was still trying to pull his arm.

"Come with me, brother! I'm gonna make you stop moody like that!"

"Know what you know about my problem!" yelled Theo beaver. He stood up and shook my hand again.

"That's not important! Come with me to the room now!"

Theo still did not budge from his place. His forehead is flinging towards me. I snort. It's hard, anyway, to persuade this boy! Well, at the very least, now he was staring at me for more than three seconds.

"Let's see," I said, about to make a deal, "come to my room for a moment. I want to show you something. If Brother Theo still does not like it, Brother can go after him and forget all. Okay?"

I immediately walked to my room on the second floor. Theo followed my small footsteps from behind. The servants who passed us started to show astonishment. It's not usual for Young Master Theo to walk with me, someone he never thought existed.

Arriving in front of the room, Dea was standing by the door. The girl had apparently been wearing a pair of ruby earrings that I gave her.

"Ah, Miss Alissa!" greet Dea. He looked embarrassed, about to show off his new earrings.

"Thank you, Miss! Oh, sorry, I didn't realize that Young Master was here." Dea instantly turned clumsy. "Good day, sir!"

Theo only replied with a short nod. I turned my eyes to Dea. "You stay here, yeah! Don't let anyone in. Understood?"

Dea nodded in understanding. I immediately brought Theo into the room. As soon as we were both inside, I locked the doors and windows, and lowered the open curtains.

"You want to do all that!" shouted Theo. She was shocked when my room turned dark even though it was still daytime outside. After making sure the curtains were tightly closed, I just explained, "So that no one would peek outside."

"What would you-be-"

I stared fixedly at Theo. Next to me, appeared a circle of spells floating in the air. Of course, after that Kyu jumped out, with a glowing body illuminating the room.

"I-it ... mystical animal?!!"

Theo stepped back. From the look on his face, there was a huge sense of disbelief. He kept retreating until he didn't realize there was a thick carpet behind him, until the boy fell down. Meanwhile, Kyu walked in front of him slowly, while wagging his purple tail, to his right and left.

"Kye!" My mystical animal greeted me kindly, then jumped into a hug. His body is almost as big as mine now.

"Kyu, this is Kak Theo. Let's say hi!" I pointed at Theo, and then Kyu nodded. The purple animal leaped from my arms, towards Theo who was still sitting wide.

"Kye!"

Quickly, Kyu jumped towards Theo. The young master's hand moved to capture the mystical beast's body. Theo lifted Kyu before his eyes and watched him closely.

"You can summon ... ?" asked Theo hesitantly. I'm nodding.

"It looks like Brother Theo still didn't think I could summon, huh? No problem, I showed Kyu not because I want to get a confession from Brother. I know, Brother Theo is having a hard time summoning in order to defeat Leon Hast."

"Where do you know!" exclaim Theo furious. Kyu got shocked, jumped out of Theo's hand and ran towards me.

"Gossip spreads fast, brother. It doesn't matter who I know from. That's not what I wanted to say."

"Then, what do you want?" ask Theo. I let out a breath.

"I know how to get Brother Theo to summon faster than he should. I'll help Brother do it.

"You? Helping me? Where possible!" Theo snorted, mocking me.

"It's up to Brother Theo not to believe it. But, did you ever see another five-year-old kid who could summon something like me?"

Theo. Of course he can't answer my question.

"I'm just offering help. If you're willing, come here after dinner, every day. But if you still insist on not learning just because I'm a dirty animal like you often say, go ahead. I won't force."

Theo came out of my room. I know he was worried by the look on his face. Theo is a character who has high self-esteem. Right now, he must be fighting with himself, willing to accept lessons from me that are not clear of his origin, or stick to his prestige.

Surely, I want him to learn summon from me, so that he feels indebted to me. I thought what I did was enough.
