Chapters 19. Duchess Rinia

“But, Sir, Miss Alissa's strength is indispensable to your recovery!” exclaim doctor Veil.

Duke Valcke flicked his hand. “Let me die, than I risk Alissa's life for having to help me.”

“Dad! Don't be like that! We promised to keep Alissa's power a secret from everyone. No one will know! This is all for the sake of healing Dad!” Theo insists. But Dad was even more stubborn.

“Enough, Theo! Alisssa, out!”

“Dad!” Theo did not believe that Duke Valcke refused to accept healing from me. Theo turned to his mother. He started whining, something I would probably never see as an act of Valcke's eldest son, as long as I wrote the story "Knight Lucius".

“Mother, please! Let Alissa stay here! It's for Dad's recovery!”

Duchess Rinia looked confused. He alternately stared between Father, Theo, and me. Theo continued to put forth sentences that would allow his mother to accept me in this room.

In this world, the amount of magic power used is measured by the amount of mana and stamina in the body. But tonight was a little different. The Duchess remains on Dad's left, but there's Cass next to the Duchess. As for the seat that Theo was supposed to occupy on Dad's right, pulled by my stepbrother, then I was welcome to sit on it.

“Sit here!” exclaim Theo. I turn away in disbelief. The seat located to the right of the head of the family is the right to be occupied by the successor of the noble family. But now Theo gave it to me.
