Chapter 8. Valcke

“Alright, tell me what the conditions are. Everything you want I will obey,” said Duke Valcke. His face was so bright when I called him Dad.

“I want, Brother Penny also went to school in the same place as me. Give her full recommendations and sponsorship, on behalf of Dukedom Valcke.”

Duke Valcke looked so shocked when he heard the request. Aunt Edma's family, especially Penny herself.

“I ... will attend school in the capital as well?” ask Penny doubtfully. I'm nodding.

Great, though I wrote the description of this mansion based only on the royal drama series that I watched streaming on Netflix. Apparently, it can be very similar to the location settings in the series.

“Is this house good enough for you?” duke Valcke asked with a smile. It's not good enough anymore, but it's too big! In fact, this is a new home in the capital. Each nobleman had a castle in one of their respective fiefdoms. A duke's castle would definitely be huge once compared to the other nobles.

“Welcome back, Mr. Duke Alfred.” Butler gave his regards.

Dad carried me as soon as I set foot on the ground. The servants straightened their bodies as soon as Father gave the order.

“This is Alissa, my daughter. I want you all to take very good care of him, yes,” the duke said. Then, he turned to me.

“Alissa, this is Andy. He's our butler. You can ask her or ask her for anything.”

“Halo, Uncle,” my handkerchief. The butler smiled warmly. “Halo, Miss Alissa. Welcome to the mansion Valcke.”

“Alright, now we go inside, yes. I'll show you your room,” Dad said. He said as if everything was going to go smoothly today. However, I know what will happen, right after I enter this mansion.

Right prediction. Once Dad and I are in the main lobby, the three main characters who will be instrumental in the development of Alissa Valcke's character have stood there.

First was a woman who was almost the same age as Dad. Her blonde hair was set up. His two green eyes were looking at me sharply as if they wanted to stab me. The clothes are of course luxurious, blue dress made of satin with lace decorations on the wrist and bottom of the skirt. She was the hostess, aka Duchess Valcke, Dad's wife.

The description of the hair that was styled upwards and his sharp gaze was inspired by a neighboring mother in my housing complex. For some reason, his life was like no other job, other than insinuating me and Mas Dion who exchanged roles in making a living and taking care of the household.

The second was the eldest son named Theo. He's ten years old. He is the successor of the Valcke family. His hair color followed his mother's blondness, and his eye color was blue down from Dad's. Idol candidates in the future, because I describe his good looks have been seen from an early age. I could've been interested in him, if only I hadn't been the author of this novel. If I wasn't being looked at by him like I am now, of course. It was obvious in his eyes that he hated my presence in Dad's arms.

The third was a second son named Cass. I'm guessing, his character is more childish than Theo. Her hair color is the same as mine and Dad's is dark brown, but her eyes follow her's green. In this family, no one has brown eyes like Alissa Valcke.

Of course, because Alissa is an illegal princess. That's why these three of them in front of me are looking at me sharply, completely not accepting of my presence here. Seven-year-old Cass even had his teeth displayed, like he wanted to bite me. I remembered a little cat who hissed angrily when approached. Likening Cass's face to that of a little cat made me hold back the laughter of the moment.

My father dropped his car on me in front of them. I felt like I was being released in the cage of a wild lion and his two starving cubs. It felt like escaping, if only I didn't remember that getting acquainted with this noble mother and two children was important to Alissa Valcke's storyline.

“Alissa, this one's called Theo, and this is Cass. These two are your two brothers.” I pointed at the two boys whose names I already knew.

“Greetings, my name is Alissa.” I kept trying to smile sweetly in front of Theo and Cass. However, let alone returning my greetings, the two of them even threw their faces away almost simultaneously.

“Well, this one is my wife, Rinia. From now on, she is your mother, yes!” said Father, who was immediately opposed by the hostess.

Duchess Rinia looked at me vilely and brushed off the roughness of my hands that wanted to shake hands with her. It hurts to be hit with the end of a hand fan handle like that.
