Never Ask Stupid Things, May

Samuel's black sedan stops right in front of a resort in the coastal area of Banten area, after driving about four hours, they reach the Carita beach area.

Sam has reserved a resort room for him and Maya. He did not want Maya to be exhausted after the trip. After all Sam wants to enjoy the atmosphere of twilight and night on the beach with Maya.

Moreover, it has been a while also both of them do not vacation to the beach. The last time they enjoyed the beach in Bali was a few years ago, when the two were unmarried and it was before Samuel had his first marriage to Martha.

"I want to go to the beach." - Maya.

"Later, baby. Let's put some of these bags in the room." Although slightly conical, finally Maya according to what her husband said.

A resort official gave Samuel the room key as soon as the man headed to the resort lobby. "This is the key to your room, sir," said a female officer to Samuel, holding the key to her. "Thank you." Samuel nods and grabs Maya's arm and holds the girl, both following directions given by female resort officials.

Until they finally find the room with the number ten, Samuel opened the door knob slowly and allowed Maya to enter the room first.

"Mk...."

"Hmm?"

"I'm going to the beach now, but there's still time for sunset." Maya is still sulking, wringing spoiled in Samuel's arms.

"Yes, my wife is a badass...! we go to the beach now" answered Samuel lightly. Instantly make the face of his wife look sumringah.

"We're on foot, Sam. Deket is also the beach?" maya shouted from the bathroom.

Samuel nodded slowly, "It's up to you, baby." Samuel answered while placing Oakley brand sunglasses perched perfectly on his nose.

While Maya looks so simple with knee-length jeans and only wears a yellow Tshirt top, it really shows the white Maya looks more enchanting.

"Are you sure you want to walk?" asked Samuel to make sure.

"Rakin dong, even more romantic walking together," kinky Maya funny, always can make Samuel ruffled the girl's black hair.

"Yes, come on...." Samuel bent his right arm around his waist to make an empty space and allowed Maya to insert his arm there. Maya also happily hooked her arms on Samuel's arm, they walked by each other in friendly arms. Passed some other resort visitors and also some resort officers they met.

The distance between the beach with a fairly close resort makes the two not too behind the sunset panorama that twilight.

Sam invites Maya to sit by the beach, without any pedestal. They did not mind if the beach sand stuck to the clothes they were wearing at that time. Sunset twilight it looks very beautiful, reddish color mixed with violet that slowly sinks behind the end of the beach. The sound of the waves accompanied by the sea breeze makes the black mane Maya always danced little.

Maya sits with her head resting on Samuel's shoulders, never getting tired of enjoying all the beautiful scenery of the beach with her husband.

The beach is Maya's favorite place, a memory in her childhood that always makes her feel long for the sound of the waves and the aroma of sea water is so soothing.

"I love the beach, don't know why." Maya says suddenly, drowning her head in Samuel's shoulders.

Slowly Sam smiled for a while, kissing the top of his wife's head with gentleness. "You happy, honey?" asked Samuel lirih.

"Hhmm. very happy, Sam. Thank you for always bringing me happiness." Maya slowly looked at Samuel's face, she was lucky to have him.

"Why do you like the beach?"

Maya shook her head slowly, "Don't know, just like it." He paused for a moment his sentence, took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"Perhaps when my father was alive and still loyal to my mother, he always took me to the beach" Maya continued.

"I forgot what age it was, and never understood the problem that happened between father and mother first," Maya again let out a long sigh, saying, throw his gaze away towards the waves that are chasing each other and then disappear on the beach.

"Until father leaves us for another woman" continued Maya, there was sadness on her face. For him the worst past about his father has always been his nightmare.

"I'm scared...."

"Fear why, baby?" this time Samuel created some distance, looking at his wife's face. Sam could see the fear in Maya's black netra.

"Fear I'll be like my mom...."

Spontaneous Samuel wrapped his arm around Maya's small shoulder, tightening his embrace on her shoulder.

"I'll never leave you, honey. You know that, right?"

Maya nodded slowly, now that she had both arms around Samuel's waist and tightened them.

"Pa....."

"Hmm....?"

"If I'm pregnant, how many children do you want?"

Samuel again kissed the soft top of Maya's head and further tightened his embrace on his wife's small shoulder.

"Whatever God's love, you and your baby are safe."

Maya looked silently for a moment at Samuel.

Catching something up, Sam asks, "Why, baby?"

Maya shook her head slowly. "When I can't have children how can I?" ask Maya plainly.

"We can adopt."

"Are you not disappointed?"

Samuel shook. "The most important thing is that you're always by my side."

"Why don't you look for someone else besides me who can give you offspring?"

"Come on, May, I told you you don't have to have such a thought."

"Are you going to find another woman?"

"So. I will never !" Sam replied with a flat and serious face. Stare sharply into the black iris of Maya.

"At any time I won't fall in love with you but Maya" continued Sam again.

"Then Mama Anita....?"

"This is our life, our home. It's just me and you. And I won't let anyone disturb my family, even if she's my mama."

"Again, mom is not like a fierce and authoritarian mother-in-law like in the stories of novels you often read, dear." Samuel continued his words.

"How do you know I like to read novels?" maya's cheeks this time found red, making Samuel chuckle amusedly look at her.

"You can't hide anything from me, honey.." seduced Samuel.

"Hush....!! ihh... cheating....you spied on me huh? even though the novels have been stored in a place that...." Maya paused her sentence when she saw Samuel's laughter grow louder.

"Ih.... You saw all my novels....?" tekik Maya, her little pinch now landed on her husband's waist. Making Samuel laugh even more loudly while trying to avoid the attack of the pinch from Maya.

"Haha....!!! sorry darling. Who told you to put those little novels in our shoe cabinet, hhmmm....?!" kekeh Samuel's.

"Samuel....!! it's a romantic novel, not a slingshot...." Maya screams, this time standing up and trying to chase after her husband who is running small along the beach.

The laughter of the two is still exploding, the sunset is now slowly disappearing and changing tinge of color twilight is so beautiful in the sky.

Until finally both of them stopped with laughter that still adorned their faces.

Both of them just sit back on the white sand, dusk is getting dark now. Even so, there are still some visitors who sit around enjoying the waves and flickering lights that are similar to some starlight.

"Mk...."

"What else, hhmm....?"

"Hhmm.. If suppose I'm pregnant, there's something going on and you have to save one of them, who are you?"

Samuel's forehead creased deeply, and he seemed to dislike the question. "You mean?" ask Sam who pretends not to understand.

"I mean, if something happens later. And you were given the choice to save one of us. Who would you choose to be saved? me or our son?"

"Sure you, May."

"Why me? Don't you want to have children?"

Samuel shook his head, "Why have children without you?"

Maya pouted, pursing her lips a few inches. "Now that's it..."

"You forgot? In this world you are my most precious treasure, dear. And whenever I'll never let you go."

"But I want you to read our son, Sam. So I can watch our son grow up well from up there and see you___"

Maya's speech is cut short when Sam suddenly hugs her tightly.

"Stop talking stupid stuff, May!"

"Sam? Are you okay"

Samuel nodded slowly. "You scared me, baby."

"Sorry, Sam. Just like that."

"Whatever it is never say it again." paused Sam. "Never ask such stupid things. We will be fine, as long as we are always together. You understand that?"

Maya nodded slowly, feeling Samuel's embrace tighten even more. The man's heart rate was getting tighter, especially when it felt Samuel's body trembling slightly. Maya feels guilty for fearing Samuel.

Maya replies to Samuel's embrace, with an occasional small kiss of Maya landing on Samuel's nape, trying to calm the man down. "It's okay, honey... I'm here with you."

Sam breaks his arms and cupped Maya's face. "Darling, we don't have to have children. Don't get pregnant."

Maya frowned. "What then? don't you want a baby?"

Sam was silent for a moment and then shook his head. "No need, we can adopt as much if necessary."

"You don't want to have a child from my womb?" tanya Maya looked disappointed.

Sam shook his head slowly, "It's not that, baby. I'm afraid that what you said has come true. And I don't want to lose you" Samuel said.

"But I want to give you a baby, Sam. The child born from my womb."

"But, honey...." Maya pauses Samuel's words, quickly placing her index finger on the tip of Samuel's lips.

"You'll never lose me, Sam. Never.." said Maya softly. Maya quickly embraced her husband's body, sinking her head into Samuel's field chest.

"Now we go back to the room, it's time to pray maghrib, we pray first?" maya asked, a small nod to Sam in response.

Sam was really worried about everything Maya said just now. He could not even imagine if his life was without the girl who was currently always in his arms day and night.

"I love you, husband.." whispered Maya softly between their footsteps.

"I love you too, honey."
