MySam

MySam
Awake, Sam....

"Sam... wake up.. I'm here, baby..."

The voice was present along with the figure of the black unraveling girl, leaning her face so close towards Sam who was lying in the middle of the savannah field. Surprisingly he did not see too clearly the face of the girl who owned the voice. His whole body was so bright. It is surrounded by thousands of morning suns. The white knee-length dress seemed so lightly attached to her tiny body.

"Who is he? The angel? An angel? Am I in heaven now?" sam's mind in his time of preservation.

Sam reached out, trying to reach the tiny body but somehow the distance that seemed so close was stretched far.

Sam tried to get closer to the light emitted by the owner of the sound earlier. The shadow ran small as if it wanted Sam to chase after him and follow the direction of his small footsteps. "Come Sam...."

The knee-length white dress continued to move lightly along with the gusts of wind as the girl unraveled the boat continuously running in the middle of the savanna field, smiling fluffyly. Like a glimmer of the morning sun, warm and very charming. "Come Sam, I'm waiting for you there." The owner of the voice kept running small, black hair as dark as night waving in the wind with the lush savannah. The towering grasses as if did not make the beautiful sound-owning girl stop running. He continued to run until he stood right in front of a bridge made of wood. "Go home, Sam. I'm waiting for you there" half-whispering, the angel girl pointed out a bright path for Sam. It was as if Samuel had gone through the path of light. "Don't be afraid, Sam.go away." the girl smiled, very close to their distance, strangely now Sam could see clearly the face, the girl smiled gently.

Maya...?

....

Anita quickens her footsteps followed by Maya, down the hospital hallways. "Sorry patient on behalf of Samuel Perdana is in what room huh, Sister?" Anita asked frantically towards a nurse sitting at the information room table.

"My lady, I'll check first." Anita nodded, waiting for a while agitatedly. As for Maya, the girl tightened Sam's white hoodie that was slightly loosely attached to her small body. Uniting his two palms, playing nervously all the fingers that were clinging to each other.

"The patient on behalf of Samuel Perdana is still in the ICU room. Sorry the patient is still unconscious" replied the nurse politely.

"Please see a specialist in, Doctor Anwar who handles your son's case," continued the nurse.

Anita bristles, grabbing Maya's fingers to strengthen her. The two women both felt a heightened sense of worry. "All right, thank you, Sust." Anita took Maya in her arms and walked towards Anwar's doctor's room as directed by the lobby guard sister.

....

"The family of Samuel?" one of the sisters called to enter the consultation room.

Specialist doctors came to warmly welcome Anita and Maya. A little gray hair may signify how long its dedication in the world of health. The middle-aged man allowed Anita and Maya to sit down.

"How is Samuel, my son, Doc?" immediately Anita asked worriedly, very clearly visible from the two brown neutrals. Maya, still feeling restless. It felt like he left the room and ran to the ICU room where Sam got treatment.

"Master Samuel is not yet conscious. We've been dealing with the trauma of a puncture wound in his abdomen" explained Dr. Anwar. The middle-aged doctor paused his sentence to examine some of Samuel's examination history files. More tightening reading glasses about ten inches thick perched on the big nose of the doctor. The entire white room for a moment felt so cold.

"When brought here, Mr. Samuel was unconscious because of the amount of blood that came out so we immediately took surgery. Fortunately, the blood supply in accordance with his blood type from the hospital is still very sufficient. So that we can quickly overcome the critical period of Mr. Samuel," continued the doctor.

Anita could only hear the doctor's explanation with a cautious heart. Permana, the husband who had to travel abroad, was forced to not be able to accompany him through all the events that befell Samuel, their son.

"Keep, how's my son doing, Doc?" ask Anita to worry.

"Thank God and praise God, the critical period of your son is past. Now we just wait until he regains consciousness." The doctor continued.

Anita breathed a sigh of relief, as did Maya. An expanding smile was full of interest at all corners of his lips.

"Can I see Sam, Doc? I beg you," Maya pleaded. Her adorable Netra was the reason the middle-aged doctor was hard to resist.

"Well, but I'm sorry I only let one person see me" the doctor replied later.

Anita looked at Maya and nodded slowly. "Yes, you're the one who came in. Let me wait in the waiting room" said Anita.

"Thank you, Ma..." Maya hugs the woman, then rushes to leave the consultation room.

Walk down the hallway after the hallway, until the net is patterned to see the ICU's big writing.

Maya enters, approaching the man. At once the warm liquid flowed out nonstop. The sound of the heart rate measuring machine and some other machine, whether the machines were for what they were useful, as if they did not disturb Samuel's sleep.

Maya just kept crying, sitting on Sam's right side. "Wake Sam up, I'm here" Maya said.

Gently rubbed the man's curly hair.

"Please, Sam... You promised you wouldn't leave me, did you?" he continued with tears. Moistened all over her chubby cheeks. Maya is completely unable to control her emotions.

"You must be strong Sam, I need you... What would I be without you, Sam..."

"Please, you're up.... I love you, baby."

Tears were still rushing out from the corners of Maya's black eyes, grabbing onto the burly arm that currently looked extremely helpless. Shaking slowly Sam's arm, hoping that the man heard it and opened the brown eyelid.

Maya really misses the look in her eyes, longing for Samuel's little laugh. Missing all that is in the man who is currently lying motionless.

Maya drew closer to Samuel, leaning her face. Gently kiss the cheeks of the man with the firm box.

"I'll always love you Sam. I beg you to hear me." Maya's tears became, tears now flowed rapidly without her control. Fall down Samuel's cheek.

Maya is still crying, wanting to feel like she's grabbing Sam's body. Hugged him tightly so he could wake up.

"Sorry, miss. The look is over" said the nurse, making Maya's face look up slightly towards the sister. Rubbing the rough tears that just keep flowing.

"Please in a minute, Sister." Maya's voice was heavy, begging to look at the sister.

"I'm sorry, this is Dr. Anwar's order. Please let the patient rest. You can wait for a patient outside the ICU." The nurse replied insisting on the rules.

Maya weakens, nods softly and once again kisses Sam's cheek.

"I'm out first, baby. You don't worry. I will always be here with you, Sam," Maya whispered in Samuel's ear. Holds Sam's warm hand for a moment.

"Sorry, miss. You need to get out of the ICU." The nurse reminded me again. Maya just nodded slowly. With a heavy heart he walked away from Samuel. Maya turns her head again, making sure there's a miracle for Sam. But everything is empty. Samuel was still lying there along with the hospital's advanced equipment.

"M.y.y.aa...yyaaa...."

Sam's Voice.

So slow, yet clearly heard in Maya's ears.

The girl looked back. The netra sparkled to see Samuel begin to open both of his eyelids.

"Mmaa.yaaa...."

The baritone voice mentioned his name.

"Sam.." cried Maya.

Maya half ran over. Looking at Sam's face, gently kissed the man's hand.

"I'm here Sam, with you..."

to be continue....
