MySam
Surprise Letter?

As Bayu suggested, after work Sam took Maya to the hospital where Harris practiced. It is undeniable that the allegations that Bayu uttered this morning continued to ring in Samuel's head. See if Maya is pregnant or not.

In the waiting room, Samuel sat down with a feeling of unworthiness. Tense and nervous waiting for the results of the examination. Actually Sam had accompanied Maya in during the examination, until after the examination was completed Maya told Sam to come out first on the grounds he wanted to talk to doctor Harris.

Samuel gave a long sigh while glancing towards the door of the room that was still tightly closed. His mind was filled with all kinds of questions, why so long? What are the test results? Is everything okay? What really happened that Maya could let him wait outside with this raging, mixed feeling?

Again Samuel took a deep breath and took it out slowly. Occasionally wiping the coarse curly hair this time without pomade. Worry was clearly lodged in his face.

Sam continued to ask himself questions until the sound of the door squeaking sounded. Sam stands up and walks towards Maya, who just came out of the room with Dr. Harris.

"How's it?" asked Sam curiously.

While there was only a thin smile that half expanded from the corner of Maya's lips.

I don't know what that smile means, for Sam. His brain is currently very deadlocked even if only to guess what happened during the examination just now.

After a second of feeling that something was wrong, Samuel again asked his wife and doctor Harris.

"There's a problem. baby?"

"Dok, how's Maya doing?"

Samuel asked with a worried tone.

Harris remained silent for a moment, and briefly confirmed the position of his glasses. While Maya looks only shook her head slowly with a facial expression that she understands very well. While his small shoulder softened while looking down at the hospital floor.

Samuel was stunned for a moment, the look of disappointment was clearly drawn on Maya's beautiful face. One thing Samuel understood was that Maya wasn't pregnant, and that made her sad.

"It's okay, baby...." Sam cupped Maya's face while whispering softly.

"Maybe it's not our sustenance yet" said Samuel again while stroking chubby Maya cheek.

"Darling- hey don't cry, okay? I will always be there for you" Samuel said. Seeing Maya shed tears made Samuel just by tightly hugging his wife's body, landing a few kisses on the girl's forehead and head to provide calm.

Samuel's eyes also turned red, holding back tears. The sadness he felt because God had not yet given the little angel in the middle of their marriage. But not because it was underlying Samuel's current pain, Samuel's heart was again torn to see a circle of tears that flowed back from both Maya neutrals. Seeing the girl he loved crying like this just made Samuel's heart feel broken.

"It's okay, dear.." said Samuel as he gently wiped Maya's tears.

Maya pulls away from Samuel's arms and looks up at Sam's face. "Mk...."

"Yes, honey?"

"I want to go home" said Maya who then turned her body and walked first leaving Samuel who was still staring worried about Maya's small back.

"You're patient, Sam." Harris patted Samuel's shoulder gently, trying to encourage his best friend.

"Trust in the miracle of God" Harris added.

"Yes, Doc. Thanks .... I went back" replied Samuel with a small smile. Perhaps a smile he had deliberately made to hide his current pain.

....

A quiet atmosphere enveloped their journey. No babbling came out of Maya's mouth as usual. The girl was only silent while throwing her face towards the left side of the car window. Staring at the fast-moving streets following the speed of the black sedan that Sam was driving at the moment.

Maya's mind looked distant, staring unblinkingly at every object she encountered through the car window.

Samuel who was driving was also made worried about the current state of Maya, worried if Maya falls ill if it continues like this.

"You want to go for a walk?" samuel asked to comfort Maya.

Meanwhile Maya just shook her head.

"You want to go to the cafe? You haven't been there for a few days, have you?"

Samuel sighed when he got Maya's little arm in response to his question just now.

Again like this, every time Samuel tried to improve Maya's mood, the girl only responded with a sling or a small nod.

Samuel hated this, he preferred Maya to be angry or babble at length rather than be quiet like this. As this was excruciating for Sam, he could not bear his wife's silence.

"By the way, May. Don't keep quiet like this."

There was no response from Maya, making Samuel exhale violently.

"How many times have I told you that I don't like your silence? If you want to be angry, want to cry or whatever it is-" Sam paused for a moment. He turned back to Maya who was still without any response.

"You take it to me, May. You hit me-as long as you don't shut up like this." Sam continued his words.

"You torture me like this, May--" continued Samuel in a weak tone.

Maya turned to Samuel and looked at him. "Yes, I always torture you! You satisfied?!"

"What are you, Sam? Speak wrong? You think after this I'll be all right, huh?!"

"May-"

"Shut up! I don't want to defend you anymore!"

"Darling--"

"Stop, I'm going down!"

"Don't that dong, May---"

"Stop I said, Sam! You're not horrified?!" maya snapped while staring at Samuel's iris.

"But it's raining, baby. Don't be weird."

"Wildamah! I don't care."

Samuel's face changed instantly.

"May, I don't like you arguing!"

"I'm going down!"

"When you get home, you can come down."

"You can't let me down, I'll jump right now!" Maya insists and prepares to open the car door. Sam who saw it also suddenly slammed the steering wheel and pulled his car over the shoulder of the road.

"Why are you, May?!" Sam starts to get upset, but Maya ignores him. He took off his seat-belt and got out of the car, running away from Samuel.

Samuel also quickly gets out of the car, trying to prevent Maya's move. Holding the girl's arm to keep from getting away.

"I'm sorry May, I made you angry. But you don't travel like this. I'm afraid you're gone, baby."

"I'm not leaving, Sam."

"But now that you're here, outside the car after you previously nagged me that put your life at risk."

Maya smiled faintly, "You remember this place, Sam?" tanyakanya.

Sam immediately looked around, spreading his gaze. A little surprised when they realized their current place.

They were on the edge of the city park, where they made their first appointment.

"This--"

"I brought you here on purpose" Maya replied.

Sam still looked at Maya with a question mark expression. Both of Sam's thick eyebrows were confused. "For---?"

Maya sighed for a while, The girl lowered her face then looked up at Samuel. "I'm confused where to start, Sam. But before this I want to say thank you very much as you..."

"There's a lot of things that we've been through, there's happy, sad and I'm as if we can get to know and be close. Although you used to be the most annoying person on the face of the earth but I am grateful to be your wife, but ...." Maya paused for a moment. Both of his black irises were now looking fixed on Samuel's face which began to look terrified.

"Please Maya, I won't accept this goodbye!" press Samuel.

Maya is down inside. "Sorry..."

Sam rubbed his face in frustration. "What the hell are you, May? Why are you acting like this? Love me a clear alesan, why are you suddenly acting this way?"

Maya is silent, still bowed in her arms and now pulls out a white envelope from the pocket of the maroon hoodie she was wearing.

"You can read for yourself" Maya said slowly as she thrust the envelope toward Samuel.

Samuel received and opened the envelope, and there was a small photograph and a letter inside. Sam took out a small photo first and looked at it.

Sam's body froze looking at the photo, he glanced at Maya then turned to open the letter inside and read it.

Samuel was actually made to read the letter. Regardless of what feelings he was now suffering from, a surprised expression was still visible on Samuel's face.

He looked back at Maya, suddenly a clear liquid just burst out from the corner of his brown eyes. Sam was crying, and really he didn't care if he was labeled as a crybaby.

"This---?"

Sam's tongue felt muddy, he really could not continue his sentence. For the umpteenth time Samuel looked towards Maya with trembling hands holding the white paper.
