Freya walked quickly, trying to follow in the footsteps of Samuel who was now getting away from the office hallways.
The girl did not want to waste her chance meeting back with Samuel.
Until he got to the elevator door, there was still a chance for him before the elevator door closed. With a little run, Freya stopped the elevator door with Samuel inside, there was only Sam there.
"What are you doing?" sam said, as soon as he saw Freya who was now in the elevator and standing right in front of him, with a slightly cut off breath.
The elevator doors closed, leaving only the two of them inside. Back Freya's heart was racing, as if the chunk of heart wanted to be dislodged, out of its perch.
"Sam, I'm glad we met again" said Freya. The girl was still staring, they stood facing each other. Not knowing what was now in Samuel's mind, he felt his heart beating erratically.
Sam wanted to say something that would hurt Freya, but for some reason now his tongue was a bit muddy. The man just looked straight at Freya's face.
Everything is still the same as before, even this time the girl looks more beautiful.
The long mane is still very beautiful as before, a reddish mane that always sparkles if forged by sunlight. The brown-colored round net remained clear, as if there were thousands of stars radiating there.
Undeniably, wanted Sam to grab that beautiful body and embrace it into the arms. Buried his head in that red mane.
"I'm sorry Sam, I'm sorry for my past mistakes" Freya said. Slowly the girl approached, slashing the distance between them.
Suddenly Freya grabbed Samuel's burly body, wrapped his arms around the man's sturdy neck.
Surprisingly Samuel just pegged there, not returning the hug and also not rejecting it. He could still feel the fresh fragrance of kiwi coming out of the reddish mane of Freya. The scent that used to be so intoxicating to Samuel.
Ting...
The elevator doors clang, indicating they had reached the floor they were on. Freya stretched out her slight embrace, their irises still both staring at each other. There's a longing there.
"I'm sorry, I have to go" Samuel said slowly, but very clearly.
The man passed quickly from before Freya, trying to hold back his feelings now. He did not want to act foolishly, this time Maya's shadow suddenly resuscitated Samuel.
"Sam.....!"
Freya still followed Samuel's footsteps, walking quickly beside the man.
"Do you want Fe?" Sam snorted a little annoyed.
"I'm sorry Sam, please forgive me."
Back the two brown neutrals they looked at each other.
"Okay, you get my forgiveness."
"Now, please go of my life."
Samuel walked back to Freya, the girl just pecked. Seeing Samuel's departure, leaving a longing in his heart.
___
Many times Sam breathed a rough breath. He smashed his fist on the wheel. The silhouette of Freya and herself in the past is now back without her pinta.
Samuel used to love that girl so much, not for a short time. Five years they were in a relationship and they were even engaged. Until the incident left a wound in Samuel.
The man drowned his head at the wheel of his sedan, trying to drive away Freya's shadow.
"Sam...!!"
Sam looked up, the figure of Freya currently standing beside the steering door.
"Do you want Fe?" but Samuel, he opened the window. I looked towards the girl.
"I want to talk to you Sam, please..." Freya spoke with a very difficult expression for Samuel to refuse.
Sam thought for a moment before he finally told Freya to enter the front door of his shiny sedan.
"Now, what are you talking about?" sam asked, for some reason Sam's heart was a little melted against the girl.
"Not here Sam, are we going to your mansion? I miss being in your mansion." Lirih Freya's.
Samuel was silent for a while, today Sam promised to meet Maya, but now....
"Sam, how? Oh if you can't. I can understand." Freya's face now changed, a little disappointed and it was clearly visible in her brown irises.
Samuel started driving his car in the opposite direction to Wijaya Property. Sam wrote a short message on his smartphone.
A small smile now spread thinly at both corners of Freya's red lips.
___
Maya stared at the screen of her phone which was still dark. There was no sign of Sam trying to reach her. Just this time Maya felt something unusual.
Maya's head was filled with bad thoughts. Did he do anything to offend Samuel? until the man ignored him? Or was it because of his unconsciousness yesterday? And Sam thinks he's just a weak-physical girl?
Maya realizes, maybe she's always been a burden to Sam.
The clanking sound jerked the girl. With a hurry struck by a fairly sophisticated phone it approached.
Maya's forehead shriveled, only a short message Samuel stopped by her phone. Said if the man canceled their meeting this morning. Though usually Sam always call and listen to his baritone voice that is always stunning even from across the phone line.
Maya's mind is now really airborne in various directions, traveling to think of something even the worst. Maya thinks about what happened to Samuel so she seems different. Less than 24 hours they did not meet, but Maya already felt a peculiarity.
What is this thing called female intuition? They say that a woman's gut feeling is never wrong.
Did Sam just lie to her? Is all this just Sam's lie?
No, Sam's not lying! At least that's what little Maya's heart said.
After what they went through and what they felt was impossible it was just a lie. Or... lest Sam now feel doubtful about their wedding plans?
Aarrgh...!! Maya screamed slowly. Plunge the body on the minimalist mattress. A long breath that sounds is a sign that he needs to calm down.
With El, he was never like this. It used to be that Maya and Elano's relationship was almost never a problem, flat and going by the rules.
There was no jealousy, worry and fear of loss like this moment.
The dark black pupils disappeared when Maya closed her eyes. He hoped that the bad thoughts in his head were just an illusion. A little much Maya wishes, Sam never changed and did not leave her suddenly.
___
Sam arrived at exactly seven in the morning. Her movements were so elegant when she turned her hands towards Maya who had just walked out of her door.
Despite that, Maya did not see the warm twinkle of the brown eyes. I don't know why this morning Maya felt something unusual. The figure before him looked so cold.
Although her body was on the side, opening the car door and driving next to it, Maya felt like she was alone.
Even the little kiss on the top of the head that Samuel used to give, this morning somehow disappeared.
Samuel shut his mouth tightly. Not a word was said throughout the journey. Even small talk, such as asking if he had breakfast or not and how you are Sam does not want to.
Several times Maya opened the chat was only responded to with a vague murmur.
Maya struggled to understand Samuel's actions, maybe the CEO was tired of the job at the advertising office or Sam felt tired of having to divide time in two companies at once. Plus maybe their wedding preparations added to Samuel's burden, which changed the man's mood this morning.
However, do not deny the bad thoughts back flashed.
"Sam, is there something wrong with me? I'm sorry if I'm wrong." Maya asks hesitantly when they arrive at the VIP parking lot of Wijaya Property.
At first glance Maya could see Sam was surprised and the expression was calm as usual.
"Nothing, let's go down."
"Today you work here?" asked Maya with a slightly wrinkled forehead.
"Yes, there are some things I have to do." Samuel answered without seeing Maya.
Maya could only breathe heavily as Samuel grew colder. The girl stared at Samuel as Sam opened the door for her.
Maya admits there is nothing more disturbing than walking hand in hand with someone, while her presence only feels like a soulless robot.
"I'm Sam first" said Maya slightly ketus and without looking at her fiance. Maya walks ahead of Samuel, knocking her heels this time. I don't know what was in his heart, he tried to hold the warm liquid out from both corners of those black eyes.
Samuel looked at Maya with regret and condemned her stupid attitude this morning.
to be continue....
