Am Out of the Hospital

"Hey, honey...."

So greet Samuel as he exits the VVIP inpatient room, to see Maya leaning her back against the hospital wall.

"Sam--" Maya sighs with a heavy breath.

"Are you asleep?" asked Maya again, this time she looked at Samuel and leaned her head on the shoulder of the husband who also leaned his back against the hospital wall.

"He-em," Samuel nodded softly.

"Are you okay?" samuel asked, astonished to see his wife thinking of something.

Maya shook her head slowly while changing her position this time.

"I was saddened to see the child, I also remembered Martha," Maya's weak great-grandson.

Maya, who was standing opposite Samuel, just wrapped her arms around the man's waist and drowned her face in the chest of the husband's field.

"We pray that Martha and Harris are calm there." Samuel added again and a small nod of Maya was his response.

"And we do our best for Am, if necessary we take Am to the hospital of Singapore or Milan for the injury suffered Am." Sam continued his words.

"Hm" nods Maya again.

"Now you go home, rest." Sam gave a soft caress to his wife's chubby cheeks while looking at her in the shade.

"Keep you?"

"Let me take care of Am, tonight."

"Where can that be! You have to work tomorrow too. I don't want you to be soiled," Maya protested.

"You are the one who rests at home let me and make Sari who sleep here take care of Am," said Maya again.

"You sure?"

"Hm," nods Maya quickly.

Samuel smiled at a glance, his fingers gently stroking Maya's cheeks and removing some of the children's hair that partially covered her pretty face.

"That's why I'm going home first, tomorrow morning I'm here with you a change of clothes."

"Hm, be careful on the road" Maya said seriously. Samuel just gave a small nod and kissed her forehead before he stepped away from the hallways of the VVIP room that looked quiet that night.

Maya who saw Samuel's departure, slowly breathed a heavy sigh. Until the shadow of Ceo that finally disappeared behind the bend of the hospital wall.

....

One month later...

After almost a full month, Samudra was released from the hospital. Although sometimes the pain in the boy's head is still suffering, but Frans' doctor said that the health of the Ocean has improved. Samuel and Maya were only reminded by Frans' doctor to always give painkillers if at any time the boy's head throbbed again. The rest of Frans doctors only recommend Samudra regularly take vitamins and also eat foods that contain minimal fat and oily, especially junk food. The boy was actually warned by Frans' doctor to reduce it.

"Mommy-Daddy isn't a fan of Onty? How come you didn't pick up Am?" said Samudra when he was in Samuel's black sedan.

"It's not a pity, but Am does not need to worry, yes, there are Onty and Om Uel who take care of Am," replied Maya who while looking towards the Ocean. The boy was sitting in the back seat with Bik Sari.

For the umpteenth time the atmosphere became silent. Maya occasionally turned to Samuel, who was very concentrated on traffic on the streets of the capital. While Samudra sat in the back seat with an empty eye view. Not infrequently Samudra set his gaze outside the window of the car and made Sari seen several times gently rubbing the top of the head of the Ocean, maybe trying to calm the boy.

In Maya's mind, she was afraid that suddenly Samudra remembered the accident and made her groan again in pain in her head.

...

A few hours passed and Maya was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief when the sedan Samuel was driving finally reached the front yard of their mansion. Sam got off by opening the door for his wife and then the man swiftly carried the Ocean who was about to get off the car.

"Kok Am to yumah(home) his Om Uel? Why not puyang(home) to yumah(home) Moms-Dad?" ask Samudra with his slurred accent when he was in Samuel's sling.

"Yes, Mommy is with Daddy out of town. So Am lives the same Om and Onty" Sam replied as he held Samudra with one arm, while the other held Maya's hand tightly.

Maya can only smile gently towards the Ocean, let Sam calm the boy down. And Maya thought that Samuel understood the state of the Ocean better.

Sam brought Samudra upstairs, Maya swiftly opened the door of the room located right next to their room.

"Well, this is Am's room" Samuel said as soon as the three entered the spacious room that Maya had designed for the boy. Starting from bedcovers, posters of animated characters and also favorite movies of the Ocean and not to forget some of the toys that Ocean likes are also neatly arranged on a special shelf of toys.

Samuel placed Samudra's tiny body onto a delux-sized bed. And the boy excitedly jumped on the soft mattress that could bounce.

"Am like the room?" ask Maya while sitting on the edge of the bed with her husband.

"Be careful, dear, it will fall." Maya said, the woman also looks a little worried when the Ocean jumps too high on the soft bed.

"Onty Aya-" said Samudra who suddenly hugged Maya's shoulder tightly.

"Yes Am?"

"So Am's booby here with Om Uel and Onty?"

"Yes." Yeah." Maya answered with a nod of her head. While Samuel grabbed the tiny body of the Ocean which now slightly removed his embrace from Maya's shoulder.

"Why? Am I happy to stay with Om and Onty?"

"Hm, Am sukak," nods Samudra.

"And like (like) the time kemayin(yesterday) when in Miyan(Milan)."

"It's like when we were in Milan yesterday." Samuel replied with a gentle smile on his face.

"Now Am want to rest first or Am want to mamam? Onty the masakin deh," bargained Maya.

The ocean slightly evaporated while covering her mouth with her tiny palm.

"Hoam..... I'm sleepy Onty."

"Oh if that's Am bobok first gih, want Onty bacain story no?"

Without a second thought, the Ocean nodded quickly. The boy immediately set his position lying on the bed while pulling the blanket to wrap half his tiny body.

Maya chuckles amusedly, not how long Maya also grabbed a storybook from the nightstand drawer at the end of the Ocean room.

"Well now Am bobok, while Onty fairy-tale-in ya."

The ocean without answering, the boy just nodded slowly as he prepared to listen to what Maya was going to read.

Sam who saw it, slowly drew a faint smile. The presence of the ocean in their home is a good sign. Most important of all, Sam is happy if Maya is happy too. His wife has long wanted a child in their marriage and Sam hopes the presence of the Ocean will be able to realize the myth of the ancients. That a small child who comes into marriage without a baby, is expected to be a lure so that the marriage can get offspring.

Samuel hoped the miracle would happen. Even if not, Samuel believes Maya will love Samudra sincerely like their own children, as well as himself.

After twenty minutes passed with Maya still reciting one story, the bluish net of the Ocean slowly dimmed. The boy had fallen asleep, perhaps drowsiness from the effects of the drug Frans gave while in the hospital that made Samudra so quickly fall asleep.

Maya slowly closes the storybook in her hand, while Samuel again tightens the blanket that wraps the tiny body of the six-year-old boy.

"Am sleeping, are we out?" ask Maya who got a slow nod response from Sam.

The two then stood up, Maya put the storybook back on the nightstand.

Samuel slowly opened the door knob of the Ocean Room and followed it with a slow closing motion without making a single sound.

"Sam, we'll eat first. I was also a laper from earlier," said Maya as soon as they came out of Am's room.

"Hm, I'm helping you in the kitchen."

"No, let me and my aunt. You sit in the living room or on the back porch."

"Rare you gonna need my help?"

Maya nodded slowly while smiling slightly.

"Oh, be careful in the kitchen."

Maya chuckles at Samuel's words, while linking the two ends of her thick eyebrows.

"Hm, if I need to wear armor while cooking in the kitchen, hahaha.." Maya laughs while walking leaving Samuel chuckling amusedly. He thinks Sam likes to overdo it when he's worried about himself when he's cooking something in the kitchen.

Sam smiled with the words of his wife. Of course Sam was worried, he wouldn't even allow a mosquito to bite into Maya's smooth skin.

"Darling-i'm serious...!" exclaim Samuel.

"Yes, Sam-I know...!" replied the girl who was also with a rather loud exclamation.

"Based on the head of a rock" Samuel murmured with a smile.
