Nackal Duda
The Dark House

Gnats

It's not usually dance like this. I always go home from work to be welcomed. This time something was different.

The porch light is still dark, not yet turned on. The front door is also not locked. Living room lights, dining room all dark nothing is turned on.

I went back to the front and saw that Dance's motorcycle was parked in the garage. Then dance has come home dong?

I turned on all the house lights. I'm looking for the existence of Dance. I'm starting to get worried. Did something happen to him?

I can't find her in the kitchen. I then went into the room. In this dark room I put on standby. Afraid of a villain suddenly ambushing me.

After the safe atmosphere, I turned on the light and saw a body figure sleeping on the side of the bed.

A dance?

"Dance! The dance! Wake up! Dance!"

He didn't answer!

O Allah.. Did something happen to him?

I walked in with shrewd footsteps approaching him.

I checked his body temperature. Normal. His heart rate is still there.

"Tari you sleep?" my many. I slowly pulled his body. My efforts succeeded. He began to open his eyes.

"Om Agas is home?" He wants to sit. I helped him.

"You sick?" ask me with worry.

"It's just a little dizzy, Om. What time is it? How come you're home? I haven't cooked for Om." He looks worried.

"Don't think about it! What matters is that you're okay!" I'll get you a glass of water and give it to Dance. "Drink!"

Dance according. He drank the water I gave him.

"Still dizzy?" my many.

"Easy already. What time is it, Om?"

"Almost half 7 nights." I replied.

"Huh? Half 7? O Allah, dance to the prayer of Ashar! How can Tari sleep like this?" He looked panicked and confused himself.

"Would you like to see a doctor? If you are dizzy, it is better to check. We go to the doctor! Since yesterday you have been like this. Is there something you're thinking?"

I sat down next to Tari and looked at her fixedly. This innocent child could not hide the fact that there was a problem he was thinking about.

"What's wrong? Just the same story as me! If you can, I'll help you!" I'm more sure something happened to him.

"I want to pray Maghrib first, Om! Afraid run out. I've missed the Ashar prayer, don't want to miss the maghrib prayer again."

I can't force Tari to tell a story. Let it be, later I will dig deeper into him.

While waiting for Wudhu dance, I ordered food through an online ojek. After that, I took a bath and prayed Maghrib. Before long, the food I ordered came. The dance that's still sitting on the bed I didn't let get up. Let me prepare dinner tonight.

Once the food is ready, I invite Tari to eat. I see, he has no appetite. Just take a little food and eat lazily.

"Why again? The food's not good?" I can't wait to ask.

"Enak. Just, Dance is still full Om."

"When was the last time you ate?" I started interrogating him. I'm not sure of the reason for being full, because I know he must have been asleep for a long time and had not eaten of course.

"Hm... When yes? Did you eat lunch, didn't you? I think I'm tasting some brownies at the course."

I put my tablespoon on the plate. This matter has to be resolved only then can I eat quietly.

"Tell me what happened!" I said firmly.

Dance shook her head, "There's no problem, Om."

"lik! I know you! I know when you're telling the truth and when you're hiding something. Tell me what happened before I find out for myself!" I had to make a little threat so he could be honest.

"Actually, Tari invited Pak Adi to the opening of the cafe. There are two types, a cafe for young kawula and a cafe for families. Dari was interested, but Mr. Adi said Tari had to be the same permission before she left" he said frankly.

"All right, we're going! I'll take you! Tell your teacher, if your husband will drive himself. Problem solved. What's up again?!"

I know this isn't the point. The dance just goes around in circles first and is still trying to hide what has happened.

Dancing down. I covered my chin with one hand and then looked at him fixedly. "There's more, right?"

Dance nodded without raising her face.

"What's? Just story!"

Dance raised her face and looked back at me. "Actually.... Some say that Dance is similar to her mother's face. Then Dance look at the picture, it's really similar."

"Fake photo time!" chirping.

"No. Dance see for yourself. That photo is old school photos. The color is still black and white. The woman in the photo when she was young was very similar to Dance."

"Then?"

"Then... Dance was invited for a DNA test." she replied timidly.

"Huh? Dna testing? Then you want to?"

"Dance yet for answers, Om. But in her heart, Dari hopes that the truth is true. Dance still has grandmother."

I breathed deeply. "Don't be that easy to believe! Where the hell did you meet?"

Silent dance. The boy was hiding something.

"Where?"

Dance did not answer. I'm getting suspicious.

"I know?" I asked again full of search. Dance nodded. "Who?"

"M... Mama Mbak Tara." replied Tari timidly. She must be afraid I'm angry that she's close to Tara's family.

"Mama? How's that possible?!" I'm not believing it anymore.

"Tari won't believe it either, Om. Dari just met Mama Mama Mama Tara today. Mama Mbak Tara was very surprised when she saw Tari. Then Dari was shown a photo of her Grandma Ma'am Tara. Her face is very similar to the face of Dance, Om. Then Tari was told about her sister named Naura. Auntie said her sister Naura left her son in an orphanage. The reason was because I was afraid that her son would be taken away, but I was more confident in the reason that her sister Naura was sick and that no one was trusted to look after her. According to Om how?"

I looked into the eyes of Dance who described happiness and sadness at the same time. Happy because he may still have a family, sad because if it really means his birth mother has died.

Poor Dance, never seen her parents' face even once. I'm grateful to have parents I can still see and care about.

"Mama can't lie anyway, Mama's nature is so different from Tara. Mama loves me very much, because it's possible that Mama threw Tara out because she was caught cheating. If Mama had said this to you, I'm sure Mama was telling the truth. Let's just check it out. There is no loss!"

Dance's eyes sparkled with delight when she heard I approved her plan for a DNA test. He even shed his tears. "Thank you, Om. Thanks for supporting Dance."

I smiled at her sincere words. "Now you're calm, aren't you? Come eat! Let you not drown again! If you want to see a doctor, I'll drop you off!"

Dance shook her head. "Udah isn't limp anymore, Om. It's fresh now. Dance may have been a lot of thoughts so it was a bit dizzy. Let's eat again!"

Dance also got her spirit that had been lost. In my heart pray, may Tari find her family again.
