“Miscarriage?” reiterate Arsenio half in disbelief. "Does that mean my wife is pregnant?” The handsome man was putting on his rough hair.
“Truely, Sir. Your wife was pregnant, but had a miscarriage,” obviously the doctor made Arsenio stunned. He seemed to lose energy and not even stand up straight. Arsenio then simply threw her body onto the waiting chair.
“Im sorry, Sir. However, we ask for approval from You as the husband and the person in charge, to perform the act of curettage so as not to occur infection in the uterus of Your wife,” ask the doctor a moment later.
“Do anything as long as my wife is no longer in pain,” said Arsenio slowly. His face looks so cute and tired. He could not think clearly at that moment.
“Alright, Sir." The doctor nodded slowly, then turned around and left Arsenio. Until a while, the Dutch man continued to wait patiently until the door of the action room opened again.
“Do you want to see the condition of your wife, Mr?” a nurse opened the door.
“How is my wife?” Arsenio hurriedly got up from her seat and approached towards the nurse.
“Your wife is in stable state. However, at this time he is still asleep due to the effects of the anesthetic we injected,” replied the nurse while directing Arsenio to go into the room.
The handsome man looked so full of excitement as he looked at Binar who was lying weakly helpless. Soon he grabbed a nearby chair, then moved the chair to the side of the bed. Arsenio sat there holding the cold palm of Binar's hand. He continued to wait tirelessly until his wife woke up.
As much as possible, Arsenio hid her grief from Binar. “Hey, Dear. Howareyou? You fell asleep almost all day,” he said with a smile.
“Rain? What happened?” tanya Binar is weak.
Arsenio took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He controlled all the emotions raging in his chest, before answering the wife's question. “Sweetie." Gently fingers Arsenio rubbed the head of Binar. “How's your stomach? Does it still hurt?” tanyakanya.
“Not as sick as earlier. However, it still feels uncomfortable,” replied Binar as it is. “What's up, Rain? Am I still in the hospital?” The young lady continued to strive to be fully aware. After which, he immediately observed the surrounding state, then saw the infusion needle stuck on the back of the hand. Binar also touched the bed where he was lying at that time. “How long have I been asleep?” tanyanya.
“Quite a long time,” replied Arsenio briefly with a meaningful highlight.
While Binar also noticed the unusual look of the husband. “Rain .. don't say that .. if I miscarry,” she said staggered with teary eyes.
Sontak Arsenio was surprised to hear the narration of Binar. “Where did you know that you had miscarried?” ask her with a trembling voice. The feeling in his chest was not good.
“Jawab used to be my question,” urged Binar with a tone that sounded bitter.
“Yes, Binar. You miscarried. Now answer me. How did you know about this?” Arsenio was getting impatient.
“Yes, geez. How's this, Rain? Our son ...” Instead of answering, Binar even cried bitterly. “This is all my fault. I can't take good care of him. I was wrong. I've killed our baby,” the mess.
“Binar, stop!” Arsenio. “Tell me what happened exactly!” pinta Arsenio with great emphasis.
“I'm pregnant, Rain. I've wanted to tell you many times, but I didn't dare. I am afraid you are angry and go,” Binar said as he sobbed.
“Gosh!” Arsenio was roughing her hair. A sense of surprise, ripple, and disappointment mixed into one within his chest at that moment. “Can you think that way to me, Binar? You might think that I'm going to get angry knowing about your pregnancy, let alone leave you. Is that the fuck I'm in your eyes?”
“Rain, you yourself said that you want to delay to have a baby,” said Binar. Her crying grew so loud that a nurse came and asked her how she was.
Arsenio was forced to respond to the nurse and say that everything was fine. He waited until the medics left. Arsenio spoke to his wife again. “I really want to delay your pregnancy. However, that does not mean that I will refuse if suddenly God gives us a baby, Binar,” Arsenio refutes. Highlight disappointed so clearly visible from her beautiful bright brown eyeballs. “I'm not that bad!” shaking his head.
“Rain.” Binar tried to touch the palm of the husband who was on the edge of the bed. However, Arsenio first pulled it. “Rain, I'm sorry,” pinta Binar ogre.
“That time I was pregnant and felt the strangeness in my stomach,” replied Binar.
“Then, the time you passed out at that restaurant ...” Again Arsenio deliberately paused his sentence.
“That was the first time I knew I was pregnant. The doctor gave me a prescription for an obstetric booster." Binar's tears continued to flow, soaking the hospital cushion.
“So, the one in the recipe is not a vitamin like you said?” Arsenio took a deep breath in order to hold back the emotions that were starting to flare up.
Binar shook his head weakly, making Arsenio close his eyes tightly. “You lied to me, Binar. For what?” mumbled wailing.
“I'm afraid ...”
“You were too afraid that I would go alone with Agatha, then have an affair with her. To the extent that you sacrifice your own health and that of our future child. That's what happened actually!” cut Arsenio. “You're terrified of things that won't happen!" continued.
“Rain, I'm sorry." Binar again tried to reach the hand of the husband who first avoided by rewinding his chair. Arsenio then moved to the window, then stood there. His body turned back to Binar. Look at his eyes glare, watching a fairly crowded vehicle passing by in front of the hospital.
“When can you trust me completely, Binar? With what do I have to prove that I've changed? I don't want to be a bastard anymore, Binar,” Arsenio said.
“Rain.” Binar cried again. A million rue slammed out from within the chest. The most painful thing she experienced at that time was the sad and disappointed face of her husband.
“How much of a jerk I am, then I will never lie to you,” Arsenio said. He closed his eyes tightly and tried to lie on a small sofa clinging to the wall. It felt so tired, that Arsenio chose to let the wife, at least until the pain in the heart reduced.
Arsenio who was very tired, finally slept curled up on the sofa. Same with Binar. Too long crying makes his eyes swollen and headache, until in the end he fell asleep unconsciously.
The couple should be able to go home that night. However, Binar's still frail condition, coupled with energy and emotional squabbling, forced them to stay overnight in the hospital.
Not felt, morning approaching. The doctor who handled the Binar came and did an examination. After seeing the condition of Binar's body has stabilized, the doctor also allowed him to go home while giving some prescription drugs.
Arsenio accepted the recipe without saying much. He's been quiet since last night. Arsenio did not even say a word as the nurse pushed his wife's body in a wheelchair until she arrived at the parking lot.
Arsenio carried the slender body that still looked weak earlier, then sat him in the car. After that, he drove the vehicle to Fabien's apartment. The man was still on strike when he held Binar from the basement to arrive at the room they occupied.
“Breaklah. I will make you breakfast,” said Arsenio as he laid his wife's body carefully on the bed. His tone also sounded flat and cold. He rushed out of the room towards the kitchen without saying anything more.
Arsenio crossed the television room. At first glance he saw the clock showing at nine in the morning. Suddenly, he was wrapped up in his head to contact Anggraini.
