As usual every time you enter the house, Binar always takes a deep breath first. He must always strengthen physically and mentally if he wants to deal with Widya. A few minutes later on the terrace of the house, Binar finally opened the front door and saw his stepmother was busy sewing negligee. At that time, he saw a wall clock with a clock that had been pointed at exactly eight pm. “Not sleeping, Bu?” sapa Binar.
“Baby you, tuh! Is it not hunger? You don't feed all day,” Widya said. He did not respond at all to the greetings of his stepson.
Instantly, Binar remembered the handsome man he had been living in working for so long since this morning. The beautiful girl then rushed to the room and found Rain sleeping curled up on her cramped inside. “Rain?” call Binar while shaking the man's body slowly.
Rain bellowed while grimacing as if enduring pain with his eyes still closed. That handsome guy looks so pathetic. His clothes were still the same clothes he had worn when he first met Binar, a white shirt full of bloodstains torn here and there. Similarly, the material pants are dark brown.
“Rain?” call Binar again until the man opens his eyes. At a glance, the girl glanced at the pile of drugs that looked still intact on the table drawer.
“Hai,” Rain forced a smile, then tried to sit with difficulty. “Home home?” ask him about Binar.
“Why is the medicine not taken?” protest Binar.
“I am not sure to take the medicine on an empty stomach,” replied Rain hesitated.
“Jeez,” Binar patted his own forehead. “I've prepared fried rice in the back. You just take it" he said with an anxious face.
"I see the dining table is empty." Rain looked confused.
“Iya, huh? Though I have prepared one plate for you," replied Binar again.
"All right, wait a minute." Binar turned outside the room and stepped quickly towards the kitchen. He opened the hood of the saji on the table. But there's nothing there. His round eyes turned on the sink. The fried rice that he meant, it turned out that there was nothing left. There are only empty plates.
Then the dinar opens the rice cooker. Lucky because there is still a little rice in it. He only needed to cook the beef-eye eggs as a side dish. The girl deftly opened the refrigerator and took an egg to cook. Not until five minutes, the egg was ripe and ready to be served.
He then grabbed a plastic tray that had been filled with a plate of rice and side dishes, as well as a glass of water.
The girl then walked past the stepmother in the living room, before entering her room again. Binar completely ignored Widya's sharp gaze and so rained towards him. He opened the partially opened door using his body, then sat down on the edge of the bed. “Eat first,” tell. “Do I want a bribe?” bargain the girl with a plain look.
“Ti-no need,” reject Rain while grabbing a plate of rice on a tray placed by Binar in bed. He began to bribe his rice greedily. Rain was really hungry at the time. He could not remember the last time he ate.
“Sorry, I only have that side dish, the slim index” of Binar leads to the cow's eye eggs that are half left.
“It's okay. It's delicious,” said Rain with a smile with a mouth full of food.
For a while, Binar was silent and only noticed Rain's every move without a word. Thousands of questions swirled in his mind about the figure of the handsome man who had now finished his meal, then hurriedly gulped down the water. “Ka-you really don't remember anything at all?” just ask Binar. While his hands deftly prepared a few medicinal grains for Rain
Rain did not answer immediately. He received the medicine that had been proffered by Binar and drank it at once. After spending all the water in a glass, Rain looked at Binar meaningfully with a smile.
Only this time Binar could notice clearly, Rain's eyes that looked so beautiful but also looked firm and sharp. The iris of the man's eyes was amber, a very light brown color, close to copper yellow. Rain also seemed to be fascinated by the round eyes of Binar, natural lashes and black and neat eyebrows.
“So you forgot everything?” Baron repeated his question.
“I only remember when I woke up among the bushes and trees. When I looked up, I was at the bottom of the abyss. I struggled to climb up, and it turned out that on the cliff there was a highway. I started to follow the direction of the road until I finally met you,” Rain said.
“Current?” Binar knitted her brows and began to think. Near his workplace, there are indeed many areas of dense forest. There are some famous waterfalls there. “Are you robbed?” the girl began to wonder. “Maybe you were robbed and your body thrown away just like that,” Binar shuddered in horror at imagining.
“Maybe,” Rain shrugs. “May my memory quickly return,” he said.
“Oh, yes,” Binar raised his index finger, reminded of something. The girl got up and grabbed the handbag she just put on the chair. Binar took out a black package, then gave it to Rain.
“What is this?” Rain flipped through the package.
“Shirt change for you,” Binar mengaw smile while helping to tear black plastic that turns out to contain large cotton jerseys and shorts.
“Thank you,” Rain chuckle. He seemed pleased with the gift of Binar.
Rain hesitated between answering yes or no. However, he finally decided to try changing his own clothes. “I don't want to trouble you,” he said.
“Alright, change first. I wait outside, yes,” Binar smiled sweetly, then moved to the living room. He saw Widya still sitting in her place while squeezing the television remote.
“Bikin hard course,” chirped the woman without taking her eyes off the television. “If there is anything, I will not interfere!” emphatically.
“Iya, Mom. Take it easy,” said Binar relaxed.
Widya immediately turned to her stepson with glaring eyes. He was about to open his mouth and prepare to throw swear words at Binar, when it sounded like an object falling from the direction of the room.
“Rain!” binar's thoughts had already led to the poor man he cared for, and it turned out to be true. The man sat on the floor with a bloody head. While the broken plates and glasses scattered around it. “Why you?” in a hurry Binar lifted the man up and sat him back on the bed.
“I was changing shirts and pants, but when I bent over putting on pants, suddenly my head felt spinning,” Rain said. Looks like my head hit the table,” continued while touching the bandage wrapped around the forehead. The white bandage changed color to bright red.
“Yes, geez. Jeez,” Binar shook his head slowly with a look of pity. Slowly, he opened the bandage and tried to replace it with a new one. It was then that he also only regained consciousness when one of the stitches on Rain's head had been removed. “Okay, how is this? Sewage off!” panicked shouting.
“Taste that, Binar! Trouble yourself ‘kan, finally!” reprimand Widya who turned out to have been in her room somehow since when. “I don't want to know! Just take care of your own business,” he said ketus as it passed from inside the room.
Binar could only exhale, then refocus on Rain's wounds. He covered the dripping blood with a cotton swab which was then wrapped around using a bandage.
“Sorry, yes. My intention does not want to trouble you, but it is getting more troublesome,” said Rain.
“It's okay. I'll help you as much as I can, Rain. Take it easy,” entertain Binar, even though in his heart he feels gamang. There was no way he would leave Rain in this condition. Long enough the girl thought, so in the end she decided to take leave tomorrow.
................
A thread of sweat dripped down Binar's forehead. The weather is quite hot, even though it is still early in the morning but makes it hot. The cotton white t-shirt she was wearing now had been drenched in sweat. However, it did not dampen his intention to walk to the souvenir shop where he worked.
He plans to take a week off to take care of Rain, a man he still doesn't know his origins. Binar can only hope, hopefully the store manager is willing to give him permission. Legs to the warehouse section of the store. There, some of his co-workers seemed busy arranging things.
Binar continued walking past his comrades while greeting warmly. He stopped in front of the manager's room. The girl took a deep breath, then threw it away slowly. A moment later, Binar knocked slowly on the half-opened door. “Good morning, Mr. Muchtar,” said.
“Good morning,” heard a reply from indoors. Doubtful, Binar stepped in then nodded politely, as his eyes clashed with a well-dressed, climsy-haired man.
“What's up, Nar?” tanyanya friendly.
Baron smiled for a moment. He looked at the man who was about a few years older than him. The store manager named Muchtar is a native Lombok man, tanned and teary-eyed. His friendly nature makes Muchtar much liked by his subordinates.
“I want to ask permission, Sir,” Binar said without further ado.
“Where to?” Muchtar scrunched his forehead.
“I'd like to apply for leave, sir. There are sick relatives. Coincidentally only I can take care of him,” the pretext of Binar. He was half-willed waiting for an answer from his manager.
“Wadd. How about it, Nar. The problem these past weeks has entered peak season. Surely visitors to our souvenir shop will explode,” he said. “Stores this big, will definitely be overwhelmed,” Muchtar added.
“I ask for help, Sir,” beautiful face Pinar weld, “pity my brother,” us.
“Ya, already, but ...” Muchtar seemed hesitant to continue his sentence.
“Why, Sir?”
“It's okay, yes, if your salary is cut,” replied the man.
