“Oh, okay. Then please wait outside. We will immediately examine the patient and see if there should be serious action or not. While waiting please you do the registration first at the front desk,” said the officer said while directing his hand at the registration table with an officer who was seen receiving a call. After saying so, he then walked into the action room.
Now, Binar became even more confused. He doesn't know who that guy was. How will he sign up? Many times the girl took a deep breath. While stepping near the registration table, Binar kept thinking. The girl was only fixated, even when she was standing in front of the officers.
“There can I help?” tanyanya friendly.
Binar immediately realized, then immediately smiled a smile in return for the friendliness of the officer earlier. “I ... I want to register a patient ..." the girl fell silent again.
“Oh, okay. On whose behalf?” ask the officer.
“On behalf ... on behalf of ... Rain ...” The binar was stunned again. “Sorry, I mean Jonathan Rain,” errat the girl asserted.
“Oh, well,” the officer began to record the data that Binar mentioned to him. Although in his heart feel fear and worry with the charade he is running, but Binar must still look convincing. After finishing the business at the registration table, Binar returned to the front of the action room and sat there alone.
While the night crept. Time has shown ten o'clock over fifteen minutes. She should have been at home by then, instead of waiting for the stranger she had just met at the hospital.
Moments later, a doctor came out of the action room. Immediately, Binar stood up to welcome the presence of the middle-aged man. “You're the wife of the patient?” his tanyanya is full of authority.
“Iya, Doc. My wife,” replied Binar trying to keep looking calm.
“So like this, Madam. Your husband has swelling in the head. There are bruises caused by the pounding of a blunt object in some parts of the body. One of them is the back neck,” explained the doctor.
"Then, how is it now?” ask Binar. Worry and curiosity mixed into one in his heart.
“For now we have given the maximum first aid. We'll see the progress in 1 x 24 hours. If there is something strange, we will immediately do a follow-up examination,” explained the doctor again. “Please, maybe Madam would like to see your husband's condition inside. However, he has not been conscious because he is still under the influence of drugs,” he said again. After that, the doctor then said goodbye from before Binar who was still glued to his place.
Binar could have just left and let the man. However, I don't know why he felt powerless to do so. The girl was aware of the risks she had to bear. However, doing great good is not always done every day in his life, even though all this time by being the backbone of the family alone is already a priceless service.
He put his feet into the room where the man was lying. Back then, Binar could see his face very clearly. The blood on the foreign man's body was cleaned. Binar then stood by the bed for a moment, before he finally took a chair and sat down. However, he still looked confused.
The gaze of the pair of girl's belo eyes, continued to be fixed on a handsome face that was still unconscious. He sat there, so he did not feel sleepy. Binar almost fell asleep while sitting down. However, the gentle man's low moaning voice returned to wake him up.
“Air ...” said with weight.
“You thirsty?” binar asked as he approached the man.
“Iya. I want to drink,” replied the stranger. Apparently he is quite fluent in Indonesian.
The sparkle was confused looking for drinking water in the room. However, he suddenly remembered that he always brought his own provisions from home. He was thrown into a bag. Binar took a bottle of drinking water whose contents remained a little. Without thinking, the beautiful girl helped the man to drink from the bottle earlier.
“Thank you,” said the man while occasionally grimacing small.
“Sama-sama," replied Binar, "why can you get hurt?” ask the girl curious. But the stranger did not answer. He only squinted his eyes as he looked at the girl before him. “I already signed up, but I don't know what your name is. So, I just use any name. Hopefully it will not be a problem,” said Binar again seemed to hide his anxiety.
“Then, let me call your family. What's the phone number?” he was not stopping asking. Again, the man was silent. “Why?” asked Binar again in surprise.
“I don't know everything,” replied the man.
The light was stunned for a while. "I mean?"
"I don't remember" replied the man, grimacing. His fingers weakly moved touching the temple. "What's going on?"
"You fainted in front of me. Your body is also full of wounds and blood. I thought you were a hit-and-run victim" Binar said hesitantly.
"Come on," the man seemed to gulp, then closed his eyes.
"What about the name? Can you remember it?" one last question that Binar hoped the stranger could answer.
"I don't know" the man replied briefly with his eyes closed.
"Okay, hell!" Binar patted his forehead slowly.
"Mrs Rain?" call the nurse. The stranger opened his eyes, and Binar turned to the nurse.
"Huh-yes?" misbehaved, Binar nodded while occasionally glancing at the beautiful man who was looking at him in astonishment.
"Does Mr Rain have health insurance?" ask the nurse.
Binar looked at the stranger. However, he soon realized that the man could not help answering the nurse's question. "Ti-doesn't have, Sus," replied Binar in the end.
"In that case, you will have to redeem the drug through a common route. Go ahead, here's the recipe," the nurse handed him some paper. "Take it in the pharmacy, yes," the message then just passed from there.
"Um" Binar turned to the stranger. "I'm sorry, I have to confess as your wife. If not, they say they are not willing to take action,” he said carefully.
“It's okay. Thank you for the help,” replied the man softly.
“Then, excuse me to redeem the medicine in the pharmacy,” Binar showed the papers and stood up. The steps are gamang towards the pharmacy counter. His body and mind were tired. Moreover, back then, time had shown almost eleven o'clock. “Biyung must have been angry waiting for me,” murmured slowly.
Arriving at the counter, Binar handed over the recipe sheet and waited for quite a while until his name was called. “Show to screen?” ask Binar to the dispensary.
“Later if you are allowed to go home, yes. Pay directly at the administration counter,” obviously the clerk was friendly while giving some sort of medicine.
Binar nodded while saying thank you. He returned to the room where the stranger was being treated. Slightly surprised, Binar saw a doctor with several nurses shrouding the man's bed. “What is this?” Binar walked slowly towards the bed.
“Ah, Lady Rain. It just so happens that your husband is already human. We also checked for vital signs. Everything shows good results,” explained the doctor.
“Thank God, Doctor,” replied Binar while turning to the man who was also looking at him.
“You can choose to wait up to twenty-four hours to see the development of Mr. Rain or outpatient,” said the doctor again.
“Um,” Binar confusion reply. Obviously he would have paid a lot more if he had to undergo hospitalization.
“If you just go home how, Doc?” bargained for.
“Can-can only. Provided you have redeemed the prescription to take home,” the doctor asserted in a friendly tone.
“Then, we choose to go home only, Doc,” break up Binar.
“Please. For the process, let the nurse explain,” the doctor resigned, replaced by a young nurse who explained everything to Binar. The nurse also asked for Binar's signature on the pile of paper he was carrying. After that, the nurse directed him to the administration counter.
However, how surprised he was when he found out that he had to pay more than half of his salary. Binar's hands trembled as he handed the hundreds of thousands of bills to the officers. However, he had come this far and could not retreat. In the end, he decided to pick up the stranger into his room while carrying a wheelchair.
The man seemed resigned when Binar helped him down from the hospital bed, then pushed him in a wheelchair.
“Sorry, Sir. I don't have enough money if you stay here longer,” said Binar full of regrets. They arrived at the front yard of the hospital. Binar reached into his phone and ordered a taxi online.
“You're okay, right? You can stay in my house for a while, until your memory and health recover,” Binar said carefully.
“It's okay. Thank you,” was weak answer the man, along with the arrival of the taxi that had Binar message.
Assisted by the taxi driver, Binar sat the stranger in the passenger seat. He then sat down next to her. Not until half an hour, the taxi had stopped in front of Binar's house.
On the porch of the house, Widya looks ruffled waist with an angry look. “From anywhere you are!” his jolt without a sigh. By then it was near midnight.
Widya's face turned red when Binar did not answer. His stepson dropped off a foreign man and swept him inside the house. Binar sat the man in one of the living room chairs.
“What the fuck, Binar! Who is he?” widya asked with emotion.
“Sorry, Mom. I invite him to stay here temporarily until his condition recovers,” replied Binar lightly, making Widya more and more apoplexy.
