Since being close and married to Binar, Arsenio has very rarely smoked. It can even be calculated using the finger, how many times he smoked the tobacco roll in a span of one week. Tonight, however, is an exception. As if he did not know the cold, Arsenio was bare-chested. He bent over with his elbows resting on the balcony railing of the room. Two fingers on his right hand clamped down on a cigarette that smelled thin smoke.
For a moment, he looked into the room. He saw the already sound Binar asleep under the blanket. Arsenio smiled before turning back to face the wind. Blowing from the blowing of invisible objects was very soothing the soul of the man who was being hit by the feeling of anxiety.
He remembered the conversation with Anggraini and Lievin this morning. All the complaints of the father flow smoothly unstoppable. Adorned with the ringing of melted clear grains at the corner of the eye, Lievin begins the story.
“Biantara did everything possible to seize my company. He acted as if he was the most instrumental in raising Rainier's airline. I was the one who built it from zero. That's my company!” Lievin repeated her sentence, as if to emphasize that she did not like what Biantara had done.
“Then, Biantara persuaded me to add a route to Southeast Asia. He helped with the licensing. With his help, I managed to enlarge my mascapa. But look at now. With all her will, she was about to claim what really belongs to me,” explained Lievin again in flames.
“I've considered him a friend and friend. But he betrayed me very painfully. I will never return to Indonesia,” the middle-aged man broke up. He was sulking like a child who was disappointed.
“Not to mention your investment company that was successfully sabotaged by Winona. Father and son are the same. I'm grateful you didn't marry her, Sen. I can't imagine if your wife was that snake woman. He will definitely use and manipulate you all out,” furious Lievin who finally realized all the mistakes so far.
“Nobody can manipulate me, Pa. Papa must have understood that,” stressed Arsenio closed the conversation this morning in the VIP treatment room.
“Hhh.” Arsenio took a slow breath. The cigarette he had smoked was almost gone. He also chose to turn off his butt at the ashtray that was available not far from where he was. The tall man decided to lie down on the side of Binar.
Looking at the peaceful face of the wife is one of the tranquilizers for her. “Binar,” whispered Arsenio watered while gently rubbing the smooth cheeks. “What should I do?” A question that no one but himself would hear.
Deep in his heart, Arsenio felt extremely guilty. What Lievin experienced was the result of him who had dared to make trouble with the Sasmita Biantara family. Biantara and her daughter were so vengeful for what she had done to Winona.
However, destroying Lievin's company that had nothing to do with the decision he had made, was indeed an outrageous act. In the midst of his turmoil, Arsenio remembered Normand who had placed so much trust in him. In a little more, he will again hold the position of CEO in one of Normand's subsidiaries.
However, who would have thought if the father's thorny problems had to make him feel worried, between still accepting Normand's offer or helping Lievin to reclaim what had been his.
Arsenio then remembered a box of his cigarettes left on the balcony table. He intended to rise from the bed and take another, as the shadow of the father's sad face danced in his mind. It was then that he realized which choice he would make.
“Rain, why haven't you slept?” Suddenly, Bar woke up. His raucous voice again stirred up the desire within the handsome man.
“I can't sleep, Honey.” Arsenio paused her intention earlier. Gently and soulfully, one hand cupped onto Binar's cheek.
“What do you think?” ask Binar again.
Arsenio did not answer immediately. He smiled gently as he stroked the wife's hair. “Sleep, tomorrow we have to see papa again before returning to Berlin,”.
“Why hurry, Rain? Don't you still have a day off?” protest Binar.
“There are things I need to finish before we go back to Indonesia, Honey.”
Arsenio's words suddenly made Binar lose his drowsiness. “Did I not hear wrong?” tanyanya while linking eyebrows.
“No, Dear. As soon as I finish the business in Berlin, we will return to Indonesia,” replied Arsenio confidently.
“For how long? So what about our apartment? Just paid off." Binar scowled as she put her head on her husband's chest.
Arsenio chuckled softly while rubbing the wife's back. “Sometimes later, we'll be back there, honey. I will not sell that apartment,” he said.
“Does this have anything to do with papa Lievin?” ask Binar carefully.
“Sleep.” A short answer indicates that Arsenio does not want to respond to his wife's question again.
Forcibly, Binar closed his eyes, though a million questions still lingered in his mind.
Although heavy, Anggraini still released the son. He is aware that Arsenio has a responsibility that cannot be left behind.
Six hours away by train, the couple had passed until they arrived at Berlin's central station. From there, they headed straight to the apartment and rested.
Near night, Binar was startled by her husband who suddenly came out of the room dressed neatly while he was busy cooking.
“Where are you going, Rain? Dinner is almost ready,” Binar said full of question marks.
“Gosh. I forgot to tell you, Honey.” Arsenio patted his forehead, then hurriedly approached the wife. “I've made a dinner appointment with Mr. Normand in thirty minutes. I also intend to bring you food from outside,” explained Arsenio.
“Then, how about my cooking?” Binar pouted while linking eyebrows as a form of protest against her husband.
“After it is mature and cold, you can save my part into the refrigerator for breakfast tomorrow morning,” replied Arsenio of origin. He immediately kissed his wife's lips so as not to nag anymore.
“Eat first, don't wait for me.” Arsenio then waved and rushed out of the apartment, leaving Binar still upset.
Arriving at the restaurant, Arsenio who had made a reservation was immediately directed to one of the tables by one of the waiters. It didn't take long for him to wait for Normand's presence there. It was quite fifteen minutes until the boss he was disinclined to arrive and sat down proudly before him.
“What is this, Arsen? It looks so serious,” asked Normand while smiling widely.
“I'm sorry if it's so sudden, Herr.” Arsenio shook Normand's hand before letting him sit down. They had a small chat while choosing the menu.
Until the time comes when Arsenio tries to express her point. “I sincerely apologize and thank you for the trust and opportunity that you have given,” said the man of Dutch blood carefully.
“I think this is really serious,” thought Normand, then chuckled.
“Herr, I will return to Indonesia,” said Arsenio with a face that looks so serious.
“What?” Normand was stunned for a moment, before regaining control. “Why so sudden? Then, what about the offer I've given you?” It was obvious the tone of objection from Normand's sentence at the time.
“Honestly, it's very hard for me to turn down an opportunity as big and as good as this, Herr. However, this is all for my father's sake.” Detail and plot, Arsenio tells all about the problems of his life, since he was expelled by the father to the thorny problems faced by Lievin that made the father lie helpless in the hospital.
“I feel responsible for what happened to my papa, Herr. Because of my decision, all this happened,” said Arsenio slowly.
While Normand was just a mangosteen listening to Arsenio's explanation. Every now and then, he rubbed his chin while thinking deeply. “So, you're trying to reclaim your father's company. So?” ask her a few moments later.
“Yes, Herr,” replied Arsenio confidently. “That's why I have to go back to Indonesia.”
“I am thinking of developing my property company there,” said Normand.
Arsenio's glaring gaze immediately turned into an enthusiastic highlight after the boss said so.
“As I have told you, Arsenio. I have a growing subsidiary, a property company and a developer that I plan to give you to lead. However, maybe my plan will change,” said Normand.
Arsenio's eyes returned lethargic to hear it. “Maybe better so, Herr. I cannot carry out your mandate in Berlin,” said Arsenio.
“Yes, most likely, I will appoint Wolfgang or Armie,” Normand said. “Then, for you ..” The man deliberately hung up his sentence.
Arsenio herself has resigned. He didn't want to hope that Normand would wait for him to return to Germany. There will always be risks in every choice and he has chosen to leave his brilliant career for the sake of his father.
“I am thinking of developing my property and traveller company in Indonesia, and I want to entrust it to you,” Normand said later, making Arsenio wide-eyed.
