CHAPTERS 220. Grandpas
Everyone inside the Ocean room was silent to each other. They were busy with their own thoughts except Weleni who was helping the Ocean drink water.
"Where's my wife?" Ask Samudra after spending half the water in the glass.
"He was meeting a couple who were most likely his mother and father." Answer Weleni.
"Laila's father and mother?" Ask the Ocean.
"Yes, they're the Mattew family from the white island." Weleni.
"So that's it, good." The ocean was relieved.
'Now that I feel at ease, Laila has parents who come from well-respected families. So, if I end up just lying on the bed, I can let go and let her live happily with her parents.' Samudra muttered that he had already suspected that he had paralysis in half of his body because his body could not be moved.
But, he never brought that up, let alone Laila.
He was very afraid that his wife would become very anxious.
"Yes, I haven't told you about Laila's test results. Is she okay? Nothing serious, right?" Ask Samudra.
"He's good, but you're the one I'm worried about. Doctors say that you most likely have paralysis of half your body. Hah, he said it takes a long time to cure it, but that does not mean it can not. So you take it easy, everything will be back to normal.." Weleni.
"I'm fine" said Samudra, then the man turned to the God who had been standing looking at him without saying anything.
"God, if anything happens to me, if I can't go back to living my days normally, I don't want to be a burden to Layla. Please take care of him for me, I entrust him to you." Samudra Saying.
"I'll take care of him." God answered without a single expression.
But in his heart, a feeling of regret overcame him. She used to let Robert and Rizal attack the Anderson family because she thought that Samudra was only interested in Laila because of her beauty, not because of her sincere feelings. He wanted to test the ocean.
But now, after seeing the sacrifice of the Ocean for Laila, she now understood that her feelings for Laila were not much greater than the sincerity that Ocean had given Laila.
"My child! You can't say that! You'll get well, I'll work on it!" Weleni.
Everyone was still speechless and could not answer the Ocean's words as Laila and Andra entered the room.
"Grandfather, let my mother go up to the bed" Andra said to God because the man was blocking the way.
With a face as black as the butt of a pot, the God removed his body that was blocking Laila's path.
It didn't matter if Andra called him as a grandfather, but in front of Laila and Samudra, he strongly rejected the nickname!
While Layla was hearing Andra's call to the Gods, the woman frowned and looked at her son "Grandfather? My son, don't say anything like that"
"That's right, God is Grandpa Andra. An old man from FF city who behaves like a 17-year-old!" Kendra said full of satisfaction seeing the expression of God.
"Kendra, don't defend the wrong!" Laila said to Kendra.
"Laila, God is Grandpa Andra. He's Mr. Mattew's cousin who's most likely your real father." Weleni's words made Laila hold back in surprise.
Laila looked at the God who was just silently listening to everyone's conversation.
"How can you?" Said Laila looking for answers from the Gods.
If god was the cousin of her biological father, how could the man not know anything about Laila's relationship with Morgan?
"It's a long story, I'll tell you next time." God said then the man immediately left Samudra and Laila's room.
