CHAPTER 58. We can't be together
Returning to her room, Laila placed the ring box on the table and sat looking at it.
Holding her left chest, the woman could still feel her extremely fast and violent heart rate.
'Really, I like it.
I had this feeling 6 years ago, when I first fell in love with someone.
But, that memory also reminds me of my bitter past.
Will the Ocean still accept me when she finds out I was pregnant by a badjinger and gave birth to a child?' Laila looked at herself in the mirror.
For 1 more week her trauma had never appeared again, and she knew the cause.
The ocean could eliminate his trauma, moreover the man was willing to sacrifice anything for him.
And most importantly, Laila felt very comfortable with the man.
So, there was not the slightest doubt on Laila to reject the man, except as she thought of the dark stains in her past.
All night long with her thoughts in mind, Laila was finally able to get through that night.
Upon waking up in the morning, Laila gasped as she opened her eyes and immediately saw 3 people were staring at her.
Weleni, Silas, Kendra. The three stood beside Laila's bed.
"You're good, thank goodness." Weleni was the first to speak.
"Eh, yes what is," Laila was about to wake up when she realized someone was hugging her arm tightly.
Looking to the side, Laila found Andra sleeping beside her.
"We forced open your room because it was 9 in the morning and you didn't wake up yet.
Andra was so worried about you that she banged on your door for half an hour.
Since we've made sure you're okay, you can continue to rest.
Again, don't forget breakfast, because the three of us have some business outside." Weleni.
"I understand, thank you." Laila said and saw Weleni and Silas leaving her room, except Kendra who was still standing looking at her.
"There again?" Laila asked the man.
"Nothing." Kendra then turned to leave Laila.
"You are so sweet, baby." Said Laila who loved the fragrance of Andra. Fragrant kids!
Laila was still enjoying the fragrance of Andra when the phone beside her suddenly rang.
This made Laila very surprised.
Extending her hand to reach for her phone, Laila was surprised that her phone could now pick up on the signal.
'The man, what he is, ' Laila did not have time to guess and immediately raised the call of a new number.
"Hello" he said.
"Come to my work space.' said someone who is none other than the Ocean.
"Ahh, fine." Laila replied before the call was turned off and she immediately let Andra go and left the little man.
Entering the Ocean room, Laila saw the man was busy at his desk.
"What's wrong?" Ask Laila.
"Help me with that file." Said Samudra looking at the table beside him which was full of scattered files.
"Good." Answer Laila immediately walked to the table and tidied all the files on the table.
Laila read them one by one and knew they were all important files.
Seeing everything, Laila momentarily turned to look towards the ocean.
'He still testing me?' he thought stopping the movement of his hand with a gaze that was still attached to the Ocean.
Long stared at, Ocean finally felt uneasy and turned his face to Laila.
"What's wrong?" Ask the man.
Laila blinked "Am I serious about the ring?" Ask Laila.
"Do you think I'm kidding?" Ask the Ocean.
"I think I'll answer it now. We can't be together, not even un-"
"What's your excuse?" Tanya Samudra cut Laila's speech. His feelings are not out of whack.
