S2 - Part 1

The two people who miss each other are now sitting on one of the chairs in the park which is located not far from the Lara campus. A deserted park where there were only the two of them.

Both Edgar and Lara were still silent and only dared to stare without a single word spoken from their lips. Though both of them want to hug to release the longing in the chest, but now can only hold back.

"Sister.. Lara .." said Edgar and Lara together, making them laugh but tears came back on their cheeks.

"Don't cry Lara..." Edgar wiped the tears on his woman's cheek.

"You forbid me to cry but you cry yourself." Lara's growing protests. Not because of sadness, but happy because he was finally able to meet Edgar again after a year without seeing. "How are you, brother?

"As you can see." Edgar smiled as he wiped his tears. "You've changed a lot, Lara, you're getting older."

Lara just fell silent and lowered her head. "Thank you for saving me, brother."

"You don't have to thank me, it's my duty to protect you." Edgar was silent for a moment to release the tightness in the chest that was getting squeezed. "I'm sorry I couldn't save her." He said again with a pause when remembering Lara who miscarried due to an accident masterminded by Mom Nela.

Lara who looked down again cried considering the incident a year ago, where she had to miscarry at a young age. He also had to part with the man he loved so much who was in a coma.

"You don't have to apologize, brother, this is the way. It is precisely I who should apologize for not accompanying you when you were in a coma."

Edgar smiled as he wiped back the tears that had dripped down Lara's cheeks. "You are not beside me, but your love strengthens me."

"I know Lara, even though your body isn't beside me but you're always monitoring my situation through Uncle Nelson."

Yes, it was only known by Edgar when Uncle Nelson invited him to return to Jakarta. Nelson finally tells Edgar that for one year Lara has always been in contact with Nelson to ask him how he is doing. Even every day Lara always video calls to see her who at that time was still in a coma. And why Nelson just told me all that, because to convince Edgar to go back to Jakarta. And here he is now to pursue and fight for his love.

"So Uncle told you?" Lara asked in surprise and disbelief. Because Nelson had promised not to tell Edgar if all this time he was still finding out the man's condition.

Edgar nodded his head. "That's why I went back to Jakarta, to ask Miranda —"

"Mom..." Cut Lara in surprise when she realized something. He should not have met Edgar, nor should he have been there. Because what he is doing right now is the same as breaking his promise to Mom Miranda. "No, this is not true. I have to go, brother."

"Wait Lara! Don't go!" Edgar held back his woman's steps.

"Son I'm happy to see you healthy like this." Lara ventured closer and touched Edgar's face and rubbed him slowly. "And I've never regretted what happened to us. But from now on we can't see each other again, because I promised Mom Miranda I'd never see you. I'm going brother." Lara was about to leave the place. Yet again Edgar got in the way by pulling his body into the man's arms.

"No Lara, I'll never let you go again because I love you Lara Collins."

Lara fell silent in shock at Edgar's love statement. A statement of love that he had been waiting for even since containing the seed of the man.
