S2 - Part 11

After the dinner conversation, Miranda sent Nelson, Edgar, and did not miss Robert as the real father of his three daughters.

The four of them plus their three daughters are now gathered in the living room, because today Miranda will say her decision on the relationship of Edgar and Lara.

"I invite you to talk about Edgar and Lara's relationship." Miranda opened their conversation after quite a long time staring at each other in silence. "I'm willing to bless Edgar and Lara's relationship."

Everyone in the room was shocked, especially Edgar and Lara. The two did not expect that Mom Miranda would approve of their relationship. For almost a month, Miranda was completely unshakable with what Edgar had done.

"Mom seriously?" Lara asked in disbelief, because last night Mom Miranda asked her to give up on not loving Edgar anymore, but now Mom Miranda just bless their relationship.

"Of course it's dear." Miranda clasped her youngest daughter's hand.

"Thank you Mom." It wasn't Lara who said it but Edgar.

Yes, Edgar even knelt before Mom Miranda because she was so happy to have been blessed. Not forgetting that she kissed the hand of the woman who soon became her mother-in-law as an expression of gratitude.

"You don't get happy first." Miranda who was smiling was now looking at Edgar with a serious facial expression. He told Edgar to return to his seat before continuing his words.

Everyone in the room is now tense waiting for what Miranda will say.

"I condone your relationship on one condition, cut off your relationship with Nela."

So did Lara, Edgar, Nelson, and Robert. Even Edgar was speechless on the terms Miranda requested.

"I want you to no longer meet and communicate with Nela forever. And these terms must be written in a covenant letter, so that you no longer violate them."

"What else is this miranda? I'm glad you finally changed your mind by blessing their relationship. But now?" Robert could not understand the terms requested by his ex-wife. Although Robert hated Nela so much, but he would never have to break the relationship between mother and child.

"I can't accept Nela, Robert. I hate her because she's so evil that it almost caused Lara to die and even caused Lara to miscarry. What's wrong with me asking for that? If Edgar really loved Lara, he would have agreed to the terms I asked."

"But Miranda, where a child just cut off the relationship with his parents." Nelson protested. Because no matter how he could not bear to see Edgar in such a difficult position, had to choose between a biological mother and a loved woman. Although Edgar had cut ties with Nela for a year, but his nephew continued to monitor and help Nela.

"I know it's impossible, but that's all I want if Edgar wants to marry Lara." Because Miranda wanted to live a quiet and peaceful life without being overshadowed by Nela's presence. Even to see Nela's face alone had made her emotional, so she decided for Edgar to leave Nela if she wanted to be with her daughter. "So how's Ed, are you willing to cut off your relationship with Nela. At least as long as I'm alive."

"Mom..." Lara shook her head wryly.

"Darling, sorry if Mom's request sounds nasty. But at least Mom wants to live quietly in your age. And now the choice is in Edgar's hands." Miranda looked at Edgar and Lara.

Lara looked at Edgar who looked confused, and she knew Edgar's current position was not easy. Even if Edgar chooses Nela, Lara will not be sad because she also prefers Mom Miranda. And if that were to happen, then their relationship would really end for good.
