Meanwhile, in another place, more precisely in an office building that says Exxon. Edgar walked with steady steps into the building with mixed feelings. Because soon he will meet Dad Robert or rather Robert, because one year ago his status was not the biological son of Mr. Robert Collins.

Both of them remained silent for quite a while.

"What are you here for?" Robert was convinced there was something important Edgar wanted to say. Because the man came to Jakarta directly after almost a year in Singapore.

"I came here because I wanted to propose to your daughter, Lara Collins."

"Ed didn't I hear wrong?" Robert wanted to reassure him that what he heard was real.

"No, you didn't hear me wrong. I came here specifically to ask for Lara."

"But Ed, you know very well Miranda hates you very much and didn't you guys already agree to —"

"I don't want to talk about Miranda. I've come here to ask for your blessing, Mr. Robert Collins, for the next business I'll face." Edgar said very confidently and firmly.

Robert who was confused what to answer, laid his back on the back of the chair while sighing. Honestly, he would have been happy if Edgar had been his son-in-law, so he could have given up the responsibility to protect Lara and the Exxon company in Edgar's hands. But considering how Miranda hated Nela so much, the relationship seemed impossible to be established until doomsday though.

"I beg our blessing Mr. Robert Collins, I promise to take good care of Lara and will love her for the rest of my life." Pinta Edgar pleaded with all his heart.

"All right, I bless you." Robert said in the end after seeing the sincerity and determination of Edgar to marry Lara.

"Thank you, sir..."

"Call me Dad, because soon you'll be my son-in-law."

Edgar hugged Dad Robert as a sign of gratitude.

"Take care of Lara, please her because all her life the child never got complete affection. "Robert asked by patting his son-in-law's shoulder.

"Definitely Dad." Edgar said with a smile because he had managed to get the blessing of Robert.

Now there was only one blessing left to be obtained from Miranda, and he knew it would not be easy to get the blessing. But Edgar will not give up, because all that for the happiness of himself and the woman he loved so much.
