Chapter 1

"Come, hurry Lara! They'll find us! We need to go deeper into the woods!" said a young blonde. His blue eyes and handsome face were filled with worry. The back of the dark blue tunic shirt he was wearing had been soaked in sweat, yet he did not care for it in the least.

"I think we've entered deep enough from this forbidden forest" replied a beautiful girl with a flat face. The girl had short black hair with black eyes. There was a hint of resentment in his heart, didn't the young man in front of him right now, that this was the first time in his seventeen years of life, he had run as fast as he had been? A woman's and a man's stamina is still very different even though they are the same age. The young man had no right to force himself to keep running. "And also, I don't have the strength to keep running, Fedrick."

Hearing Lara's words, Fedric stopped running. Although the girl in front of him was flat-faced, he could feel the irritation. "Sorry Lara, I think you're right. We better rest for a while."

Not caring for Fedrick, Lara walked slowly towards a large oak tree and sat down below it. The girl's breathing was still a little breathless, closing her eyes she tried to calm the aggravation in her heart.

Fedrick said nothing. The young man followed Lara to rest for a while by sitting next to the girl. However, his heart remained unsettled. To be honest, he was also very exhausted, but he was not so bold as to risk stopping and finding their pursuers.

"I don't think they're going to dare go into this forbidden forest for a while" Lara's sudden voice breaking the silence took Fedrick by surprise. The young man's blue eyes immediately fell on the girl beside him. "Rest in peace for a moment."

Fedrick breathed. "I think you're right. But, we also have to be careful inside this forest. We have absolutely no idea what's in this forest."

"I know, Fedrick." Reply Lara slowly. His black eyes looked around them which were filled with hundreds of years old large trees. The sunlight is a little minimal because it is blocked by leaves and tree branches making this forest look different from the usual forest.

This forest they entered was a forest known as 'Prohibited forest'. According to the story, this forest is filled with magical creatures and ancient magic traps that will mislead anyone who enters it. No one ever came back from this forest alive after entering its forest.

𝘓𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢...

The humming sound of a sudden tone from a distance made Fedrick and Lara instantly stand up.

"What's that sound?" fedrick's eyes were wide open not believing what he was hearing.

"Shut up, Fedrick." Lara's orders are slow. But the vigilance in his heart did not diminish in the least.

Both Fedrick and Lara could clearly hear the humming noise. However, not knowing why the humming sound of the tone made the two of them feel a little relaxed. Admittedly, the sound was very melodious, clear and beautiful. Making them both stunned and at the same time curious.

"Human voice, is that it? Isn't there no human living in this forest?" fedrick asked puzzledly, "But it's beautiful" he said softly.

Lara nodded her head, she agreed with what Fedrick said. The voice she heard was the most beautiful voice she had ever heard. But Fedrick's question is also true, is it the human voice? or a magical creature in the forest?

Staring at Lara, Fedrick could see the vigilance and was also curious. But, that voice was too beautiful to pass up. As if she could read Fedrick's mind, Lara nodded her head. Not caring for the young man who was staring at him, his feet stepped slowly towards the source of the voice.

Fedrick followed Lara in silence. The closer they got to the source, their alertness increased. A few meters they walked, they both then found a small lake. However, what was then seen left them stunned.

There was a girl of their age dancing while sheathing the tone beside the lake. Several small birds flew beside him, as if accompanying him dancing. The girl had a pure white skin like snow wrapped in a dark brown tunic. Her beautiful long golden hair flew in the wind as she danced, then, her pair of green eyes that shone full of innocence like a little boy–the girl was extremely beautiful.

Fedrick and Lara stood looking at the girl. That girl was too pretty, as if not the origin of this world.

Realizing the presence of Fedrick and Lara, the girl stopped dancing and leaned in. His excited eyes which were then immediately directed at them were wide-eyed. It was obvious that the girl was very surprised by the whereabouts of the two of them.

"Sorry, we didn't mean to surprise you.." Fedrick stammered out his voice as soon as he saw the girl staring at them. As for Lara, the black haired girl just stood still without saying anything.

Hearing Fedrick's remark, the girl lifted the tip of her lips and smiled cheerfully. His two slender legs moved slowly towards him and Lara.

Fedrick's face flushed red as he looked at the girl's smile. His heart was beating very fast. The closer the girl walked towards them, the clearer she could see the girl's face. She had seen so many women who were said to be beautiful, but the beauty of the girl in front of her now clearly had defeated their beauty.

Seeing the girl fall Fedrick and Lara immediately ran over and helped her up. They should have been wary of the unknown girl, but their hearts said otherwise.

"You okay?" fedrick asked softly as he reached out to help the girl stand up.

"Thank you, I'm fine," the girl's laughter received a helping hand from Fedrick. "I'm just tripping over rocks."

The sound of the girl's laughter was as beautiful as the clanking of bells. His pair of green eyes twinkled exactly like a child.

"Meet!" someone suddenly shouted from behind them.

Fedrick, Lara and the golden-haired girl immediately turned a glance at the source of the voice. Fedrick and Lara's eyes immediately widened when they saw two men dressed in black standing with grinning smiles not far from them.

Dressed in black from top to bottom with a large body, a sword was tied around the waist of the two men.

"Here it seems to be you," laughed one of the men as he walked closer. His eyes then immediately widened as he looked at the golden-haired girl beside Fedrick and Lara. "Well! Who's that pretty girl next to you?"

The other man was no less surprised when he saw the golden-haired girl. Smiling increasingly wider, he licked his lower lip, "We were only ordered to catch them both. Then, we can do as we please with the girl, right?" tanyakanya.

"You're right!" reply to his friend while laughing.

Fedrick soon came to his senses with the two men's unfavorable intentions. Quickly commanding Lara, "Lara, quickly run! Get that girl out of here too!"

"What about you?" ask Lara calmly. However, her black eyes betrayed the calmness on that beautiful face–panikan clearly visible.

"I'll try to hold them. Run away from here!" fedrick orders again while running towards the two men.

Fedrick pulled out a short knife from behind his back to attack the two black-clothed men in front. However, the two men nimbly avoided his attack. One of the men then caught Fedrick's hand holding a short knife, and from the side, another man kicked it back.

"Fedrick!" lara shouted as she ran up to Fedrick.

"I'm fine Lara. Run away from here!" Fedrick said slowly. The pain emanated clearly from that handsome facial expression, while his right hand held the part of the stomach that was kicked.

Lara turned around to face the two men. Raising his right hand, a blue-colored magic circle appeared in front of him. His mouth quickly read out a magic spell. However, before the girl finished her spell, one of the men had run over and punched her down.

Lara's magic failed.

Smiling at the situation, the other man immediately walked up to the golden-haired girl who had just stood still like a statue. The girl walked backwards as the man reached out to catch her. Fear filled the green eyes.

When the man's hand will touch the girl. The girl closed her eyes and shouted loudly. "A-Apple!!!."

A pillar of fire suddenly appeared amidst the blond haired girl and the man who wanted to grab her Surprised, the man stopped his movements and jumped backwards.

Not knowing since when, without all of them realizing, a black-haired youth had been standing in front of the golden-haired girl. The young man looked the same age as the girl, only, his face was not clearly visible. A long white cloth covered the eyes of the young man as the blind did in general.
