Chapter 3

"Let's hurry Lara, Fedrick!" call Rue excitedly. Waving her hands, she looked at Fedrick and Lara who were not far behind.

Why they can be together now is none other than because Rue offered Fedrick and Lara a place to stay for a while. The dark day and the intricacies of the forbidden forest that they did not know made them both accept his offer with pleasure.

Along the way, Rue excitedly explains to Fedrick and Lara the forbidden forest they are in. In just a short time, the two of them realized how innocent and supple the girl was. From his mannerisms and manner of speaking, he looked like a child.

The apple that walked beside Rue did not say anything. He was silent, ignoring Fedrick and Lara, as if they were both not there.

Fedrick observed Apples full of confusion. The cloth wrapped in the black-haired young man's eyes would definitely make anyone who saw him think he was blind. Judging from the thickness of the type of fabric that wrapped his eyes, there was no way he could see what was ahead. However, why was he able to easily move as if his eyes were completely unclosed?

Every footstep and movement of the young man named Apple finally made Fedrick unable to hide his curiosity anymore, "Sorry if it is not polite," he said slowly staring at the black-haired young man. "Are you blind?"

The apple did not reply, he remained silent. Fedrick felt bad in his heart. Maybe he's gone too far for asking sensitive questions. Fortunately, not long after that they had reached their destination.

"It's here!" rue's laughter was full of vigor. His cheeks were red with joy. This was the first time their residence had received guests. "Welcome!"

Fedick and Lara stared at the residence in front of them which was none other than a Cave.

Enthusiastically, Rue pulls Fedrick's hand and Lara enters the cave. The apple slowly followed from behind.

When Rue turned on the oil lamp inside the cave, Fedrick and Lara were quite surprised because it was so clean inside. Some very simple furniture such as tables, chairs, cabinets and wooden beds adorn the corners of the cave. This cave was indeed not big, however, they could feel its comfort and warmth.

"Because there are only two beds, I will sleep with Apple. Fedrick and Lara just put my bed on." Clearly Rue while smiling widely.

Fedrick's face immediately flushed and full of panic. "No, Rue! My relationship with Lara is not what you think it is. I'll just sleep on the floor."

"Not as I thought? Whatdoes thatmean? Why don't you sleep with Lara? Then you sleep with me, how about it?" ask Rue lugu. He really doesn't understand what Fedrick is saying.

Fedrick's face grew red upon hearing Rue's offer. He was completely out of words to explain what he should be.

"Stupid," the sound of Apples suddenly sounded made everyone look at him. The young man remained calm and cold, but Fedrick and Lara could feel his dislike. "You sleep with that girl in your bed and that guy sleeps in my bed."

"Huh? You're gonna sleep with Fedrick?" asked Rue surprised.

"I'll sleep outside." Answer Apple.

"I'd be happier if you slept outside, too, Rue. Your bed seems so narrow for two people. What's more, I don't like to sleep with other people." Sela Lara suddenly with indifference.

Rue, Fedrick and Apple fell silent upon hearing Lara's words. Fedrick's face paled instantly, he did not understand the attitude of the black-haired girl beside him, how could he possibly ask the host to sleep outside?

"How can you say that, Lara?!" rue's face turned sullen. A second later, however, he smiled broadly. "Yes already! I decided, I'll sleep with Lara tonight. I'll show you the thrill of sleeping together!"

Lara wants to reject Rue's decision. However, as soon as he saw the golden-haired girl's face, he canceled his intentions. With such a wide smile and such blazing green eyes, how could he let her down? Asking in her heart, Lara did not understand, why could she think that?

"You must be hungry, right? I'll get you guys some food." Laughter cheerful Rue. Not waiting for their answer, he immediately ran out leaving Apple, Fedrick and Lara.

After Rue left, the atmosphere again became quiet and awkward. Fedrick did not know what to say to melt the atmosphere, while Lara casually walked towards the chair and sat on it.

"Apple, apaka—" Fedrick laughed nervously trying to start the conversation, but Apple cut him off. "I don't know who you are" he said slowly. "And I'm not interested in knowing that either. I want you to leave this place tomorrow, as soon as possible."

Fedrick and Lara were silent at Apple's warning. They knew the young man was serious about what he said. Even though they had just known him, they both knew that Apples were a very dangerous person. Deep down inside the two of them, there was a speck of fear in him.

In the darkness of the night with moonlight as the only light, the apple sat leaning against a tree not far from the lake in the forbidden forest. A very large and bushy tree; standing firm and strong. Several fallen leaves fell on the body of the young man below. Gritting his left hand catching one of the fallen leaves, the Apple grasped it tightly. Then, his keen sense of smell caught the fragrant smell of the flower he was very familiar with near—Rue.

"Apple..." Call Rue. Standing in the distance, her green eyes stared at Apple.

"What's up, you idiot?" ask Apple without moving a bit. He had already noticed Rue's presence ever since the girl walked out of the cave where they lived towards the lake.

"I said don't call me stupid. I have a name," protested Rue with a sullen face and walked over to Apple. "I'm Rue. R-u-e."

"Yes, I know. What's the matter here, you idiot?" apple asked again, the intonation of her flat voice unchanged, it was obvious she did not care what Rue had just said.

Rue did not answer Apple's question. Approaching the black-haired young man, he sat right beside him. Lifting both hands down the young man's hair, he slowly removed the cloth that closed the young man's eyes.

The cloth that shut the eyes of the Apple came off. Slowly, the young man then opened his eyes. Under the moonlight, Rue's green eyes could clearly see the handsome face of Apple. Clean white skin, a sturdy jaw, a pointed nose, well-grown eyebrows, and most importantly; a pair of blood-red eyes.

"Why do you always close your eyes, Apple?" ask Rue slowly.

"Because this is the best." Answer the Apple briefly.

Rue scrunched his forehead. He did not understand why Apple always closed his eyes, because for him the pair of eyes was clearly very beautiful. "I don't understand what you mean, Apple. I love your eyes."

Rue's words made Apples sigh. Perhaps in this world, only this girl would say that about her strange eyes. "You don't need to understand. Why don't you sleep?"

Apple's question immediately resuscitated Rue, quickly, she hugged the black-haired young man. Body vibrates. "I'm dreaming, Apple. I dreamt you left me. I kept calling your name and chasing you. However, you did not look at me. You're not at all chased by me."

Tears flowed from Rue's green eyes as she recalled her dream. He's very scared. All this time, he had been living with Apple, he could not imagine how he would live without that young man.

The apple pushed Rue slowly so that her embrace slipped. Staring at the pretty face in front of her, she wiped away the tears that kept falling down her cheeks. Those blood-red eyes that were expressionless softened. "Stupid, I'm not going anywhere."

"Promise?" Rue rubbed his right little finger.

Smiling apple. A smile she rarely showed. He hooked his left little finger on Rue's finger. "Promise."

A wide smile immediately adorned Rue's beautiful face, making her beautiful face even more beautiful. Laughing loosely with the sound of her bell clanking laughter, she again hugged the black-haired young man. He really liked that Apple smile. A gentle gaze as well as a gentle smile, Rue would feel warmth and happiness in her heart every time she saw it.

Apple returned Rue's embrace tightly. A second later the golden-haired girl instantly felt very safe, warm, comfortable and peaceful. The Apple hug always gave him this kind of effect. Drowsiness immediately attacked, his eyes felt very heavy.

"Sleep, Rue," whispered Apple softly and gently. "I'm right next to you. I'm not going anywhere.."

Rue smiled and let the darkness rule his gaze. He was not afraid that a nightmare would come, for Apples were beside him now. The young man had promised, the young man would go nowhere and leave him alone; apple had promised.
