Chapter 6's

The bonfire that they light up makes Rue, Fedrick and Lara can clearly see the giant spider. His body size was five times larger than an adult body, dark brown with eight large legs full of fur. His four large, bright green eyes did not blink, and the open jaw of his mouth revealed large, pointed teeth and drool dripping down.

Fedrick's eyes paled immediately when he saw the spider's saliva falling on the grass below. The grass evaporated and emitted smoke. "His saliva is poisonous."

Neither Apple, Rue, Fedrick nor Lara moved a little until the giant spider moved its eight legs rapidly towards them. The apple immediately carried Rue and jumped to the side, as did Fedrick and Lara.

The bonfire they ignited was immediately shattered by being hit by the spider. The darkness of the night returned. Fortunately, the light of the full moon above the sky could still make them see well.

The spider turned its body to face the four of them. Apple dropped Rue off, "Take care of him" he ordered Fedrick and Lara.

Apple's command made Rue immediately pull the arm of the young man who wanted to step forward facing the giant spider. Although unable to see because her eyes were covered in cloth, Apple knew, the golden-haired girl's face was now full of fear; not wanting her to face the spider.

Apple sighed and patted Rue's head softly. "It's okay, I can face the creature. "

Apple's speech and demeanor, made Rue slightly calm. He always believed what the black-haired young man said. If Apple said he could face the spider, then he could really defeat it, right? Slightly hesitating, his hand that pulled the arm of Apple came loose.

Smiling faintly, Apples then turned around and stepped towards the giant spider.

Fedrick who saw Apple planned to face the spider immediately turned his face to Lara. "I'll help Apple, Lara. You take care of Rue."

Not waiting for Lara's reply, Fedrick stepped foot chasing the black-haired youth in front.

Apple who heard Fedrick's remark immediately noticed the presence of the blond young man who had now been behind, "I don't need your help, Back off." he ordered in a flat voice.

Fedrick smiled bitterly at the orders of Apple. The black-haired youth was indeed strong, only, how could he possibly let him face the giant spider in front alone? Their relationship can be said to be strange, they just knew each other, and the young man was very cold and closed. But, they can be said to be friends, right?

Personally, Fedrick actually feels Apple is a dangerous person. However, he also could not shake the feeling of wanting to know and befriend her. A strange feeling that he himself did not know where it came from either.

Braving himself and gulping, Fedrick smiled awkwardly. "I just want to help you; my friend. That's not wrong, is it?"

Apples were stunned to hear Fedrick's remarks. He looked at the young man's face. A fella? During his life, no one ever called him by name; friend. Now, this young man he had just met now called him a friend?

"As far as you. Just don't bother me." Answer the Apple later. Not caring about Fedrick, he sped up his footsteps and ran forward.

Apple's speech immediately made the awkward smile on Fedrick's handsome face into a wide smile full of excitement. A feeling of joy filled her heart as she realized Apple did not deny it as she called out to her; friend, "I know." Fedrick's laughter was short and kept abreast of Apples.

Apples make magic circles and cast spells, pillars of fire appear surrounding him, Fedrick and the giant Spider. His goal was only one; securing Rue that was outside the pillar of fire. As for Fedrick, the young man recited a spell and made a greenish-blue magic circle in front of his hand. The ice needle that appeared from within the magic circle shot rapidly towards the spider.

Fedrick's ice magic needle did hit the target. However, not a single wound was produced. The thick spider skin made the magic of the blonde-haired youth go to waste.

"What is that thing?" fedrick was in disbelief. His magic could not be said to be powerful, but at the very least, he believed it could injure the opponent.

"That's an ancient magical creature that resides within this forest." Obviously Apples were flat all of a sudden.

"Huh? Whatchu mean?" ask Fedrick. However, Apple did not reply, the black-haired young man had run forward to face the spider.

The apple leapt upwards, once again, he made a red magic circle and cast a spell. From his hand, four huge fireballs appeared. Nimble, he threw the fireball towards the spider's eyes.

The spider let out a scream of pain. The fireball that Apple threw was enough to injure the magic creature. The wounds his eyes received made the spider move erratically and barge out from the existing pillar of fire.

The spider then stopped moving and let out a loud screaming sound. A large magic circle appeared in front of the spider. The magic he made was extremely fast, neither Apple nor Fedrick had a chance to stop him.

A huge wind sword magic shot towards Apple and Fedrick from within the magic circle. Fedrick tried to avoid. However, his movements were too slow. He closed his eyes and prepared himself for the attack.

"Apple! Fedrick! Watch out!!" rue's loud scream filled the forest.

Rue's screams made Fedrick open his eyes. What he saw then made him stunned. In front of him, Apple stood with a wall made of earth protecting them. Unexplained, he knew, the wall of earth that protected them was the magic of the black-haired young man.

The spider they were dealing with suddenly turned its back to face Rue and Lara. The cry of the golden-haired girl just now had made the magic creature realize the existence of the two of them.

The spider again let out a loud sound, a blue magic circle reappeared in front of its huge body. From within the magic circle, dozens of huge ice needles shot out rapidly towards Rue and Lara.

Apple and Fedrick were very surprised by what happened. Shaking her legs as fast as she could, Apple ran towards Rue and Lara. The magic created by the spider was impossible to stop now, and it was impossible for the two girls to avoid either.

"Rul!!" the apple was full of panic.

Lara knew, the ice needles that attacked them were impossible to avoid. He immediately hugged Rue tightly to protect her. However, the golden-haired girl suddenly released herself from the embrace. Stepping forward with his eyes closed, he opened his arms wide and made himself a shield.

Lara's eyes widened when she saw Rue's action. Everything happened so quickly, he couldn't prevent it. However, as the rapidly darting needles of ice were about to hit Rue's body, a bright white glow suddenly enveloped the girl.

Lara who was standing behind Rue clearly saw everything that was happening. In front of Rue clad in white light, there was a visible wall that protected the girl from the ice needles.

The ice needles stopped in the air, cracked and then shattered into tiny pieces that the wind had lost.

As the white light clad in his entire body disappeared, Rue who was unaware of what had happened opened her eyes. Then, what the golden-haired girl felt then was the warm embrace of someone very tight.

"Rue, thank God, thank God you're okay." Guman Apples were tightly hugging Rue's slender body. The normally calm body of the black haired youth was now shaking violently. The hug grew tighter and tighter, as if she would lose the girl if she loosened the hug.

"A-apple," Rue was confused. However, all of a sudden, an overwhelming sense of exhaustion assaulted him. His eyes felt very heavy, and he lost energy. " A-apple, a-what's a—"

"It's okay, Rue," whispered Apple quietly in Rue's ear. "Sleep, when you realize it's over."

Hearing Apple's words, Rue closed her eyes. The warmth of the black-haired young man's embrace made him feel extremely comfortable and peaceful. Then, if Apple said everything would be over, then, everything would really be over. There's nothing to worry about. Submitting her consciousness to the darkness, the beautiful girl fell asleep with a smile on her face.

Fedrick and Lara stood still on the spot looking at what had just happened. From Apple's reaction, they both knew, what had just stopped the spider magic was not that young man, but rather; rue.

Sensing Rue who had fallen asleep, Apple then let go of her embrace. Laying the girl down on the ground quietly, the young man turned his back to face the giant spider. An overwhelming anger filled his heart.

"Bad! How dare you!" yelled Apples full of anger. Moving fast, he attacked the spider.

A pillar of fire suddenly appeared surrounding the giant spider. Fedrick and Lara, who saw the pillar of fire, were shocked, and they saw no one among them making magic circles and chanting. The eyes of the two of them were then fixed on the Apple that was moving rapidly towards the giant spider. Could it be that young man who created that pillar of fire?—but, there was no way that anyone could use magic without circles and magic spells.

The fire pillar surrounding the giant spider this time was bigger so that the magical beast could not break through it. Full of anger, the spider again used wind magic to attack upon noticing the presence of Apples approaching it.

Apples nimbly jumped dodging. The anger that was in him made him dark-eyed. He would never forgive anyone who dared to attack Rue.

Landing, the Apples at full speed shot back towards the giant spider. The incredible speed of his movements made Fedrick and Lara takjud one more time, but the feeling of notjudge turned to fear as he watched the young man raise his right hand to stab back one of the spider's eyes.

The spider again cried out in pain, however, the Apple that was now on top of his head did not care. Pulling out his hand, he jumped up. Moving his right hand, from behind him, dozens of ice needles appeared and shot out in attack.

The giant spider could do nothing when the ice needle stuck all its legs. Shouts of pain were heard again in this silent forest. The magic creature wanted to escape, however, its motion had now been locked.

The apple that had managed to urge the giant spider landed on the ground. His face was flat, yet his rag-covered golden eyes stared in anger. Raising both hands, a huge black magic circle appeared in front of him. The size of the magic circle was very large, the size of the body of the giant spider.

From within the magic circle shot out black lights towards the spider quickly. When the black light touched the magical creature, a shrill scream of pain filled the forest.

Fedrick and Lara had absolutely no confidence in what they were seeing now. The body of the spider that was exposed to the Apple magic suddenly blackened, decayed and— was destroyed. The magic used by the black-haired youth was a magic that neither they had heard nor imagined existed; a magic that was extremely frightening and also cruel.

The apple then extinguished the pillar of fire it made. The giant spider was unable to move anymore, most of its body had been destroyed due to the Apple magic. Walking closer to the spider head slowly, the black-haired young man did not show any reaction, remaining calm and cold.

Stopping in front of the helpless spider, Apple shook its right hand. Wind sword magic appeared and destroyed the head of the giant magic creature.
