The Adventure of the Kecapi
Chapter 16

He now glided very quickly towards the girl with his mouth opened wide.

When the serpent came near and lunged at him with his mouth wide open so that his pointed teeth seemed real, Hua Li patted her with a paddle in hand and the paddle moved in such a way that the little paddle entered the snake's mouth and continued to be thrust inward until it entered her stomach.

And the black serpent revolted, part of its back body and tail grabbed it and was able to escape, but the thrust of the paddle was so deep that almost all of it entered the body of the black serpent.

The black snake was unable to dive and swim was difficult because the head and neck could not be moved anymore,

Then he could only move his back body around and around causing a great wave of water that had begun to blush mixed with his blood coming out of that helpless mouth.

Meanwhile Hua Li swam quickly to the beautiful little boat that was now twirling in the middle of the river because there were no oars driving it anymore.

The old man was just sitting dumbly because he was still horrified and astonished to see the fight between the snake and the strange girl.

Hua Li then approached the boat and while swimming he pushed the boat to the edge where people greeted the boat with excited cries.

"Are you the Goddess of Water?" ask the old man who is curious.

Hua Li looked at her with a sweet smile. The face of the middle-aged man brought his sympathy, for it imagined a majestic and agile disposition..

"I'm just an ordinary person who happens to pass by here." Hua Li replied kindly.

The old man was about to give Hua Li a gift, but the girl subtly rejected him.

"My ma'af is helping you sincerely, I don't expect any reward from master!" hua Li said.

"Well then lady, you better put on these outerwear and get on the mainland. I would love to talk to you and express my gratitude." said the man who in the end Hua Li was more interested in seeing the old man's courtesy and kindness, moreover, the attitude of parents who are frank and without much density reminds him of his father.

Hua Li knew that she was currently wearing her bathing suit and it was inappropriate for her to come out of the water, so he used the outer clothing given by the man to cover his body from his shoulders to his knees, and Hua Li climbed to the ground.

"Who is this beautiful girl?" asked one of the people who had been watching her since, Hua Li became displeased and embarrassed.

Seeing that the middle-aged man scolded those people.

"You are all human beings who cannot be expected! There was just a snake attack just like you escaped! Look at this lady, she's a mighty girl. With a small paddle he managed to make the black snake helpless!" exclaimed that middle-aged man.

Everyone was silent, as if understanding the meaning of the man.

"Miss, if I may know, prepare the name of the lady and where did the lady come from?" asked the man kindly to Hua Li.

"I am a man of the yellow river valley, and I live as a fisherman. I am currently wandering through the experience." Hua Li replied with a smile.

"Oh, really you're a brave lady. Introduce my name Ciu Lan, the merchant who wants to return to the king's city" said the man who introduced himself.

"Oh, so yes. Meaning you are a trader so?" hua Li asked who made sure.

"Yes, miss." replied the middle-aged man, nodding slowly.

"I'm named Hua Li and there have been people who have long called myself a lute swordsman, it's because I always carry a lute wherever I go." hua Li replied, remembering the soy sauce she left by the river before bathing, and then the girl pleaded with the man and his entourage.

Hua Li then jumped into the water again and from there he threw the man's outer robe onto the land.

"I'm giving you back your outerwear, and thank you!" hua Li exclaimed, who then moved his accomplice and briefly disappeared under the water.

The merchant Ciu Lan and his men were amazed and astonished, and many times the old merchant sighed in disappointment and regret of not being able to speak and knowing the history of the girl even more.

He was very interested and liked the girl. Then, after rebuking his men who showed cowardice in the face of danger, he returned to the king's city.

Meanwhile Hua Li swam back to where he was and how shocked he was when he did not see his lute again in the place,

The harp and the clothes were gone, Hua Li became confused and almost cried on the riverbank because there was no way he could continue on with such clothes and the bathing suit was wet.

Then Hua Li ran quickly towards the bridge to cross the river, because he felt that there must be a village where he could get new clothes.

Before long, Hua Li noticed that there was a house that was long abandoned by its residents.

The girl ventured into the rather large and beautiful house sneaking around. And finally he was able to enter the empty house.

Then he looked for a room and searched for a wardrobe. After opening the closet, Hua Li immediately chose a set of women's clothes.

And in the end Hua Li got a pretty blue dress and immediately put it on and he left the house. Because he no longer wanted to be seen the next day by the owner of the clothes he stole, then that night he crossed the river and arrived in a hamlet.

Again the girl looked for an empty house, and before long she found an empty house. Although the house was smaller than the previous house, Hua Li was very comfortable in the house.

And in just a moment he had slept soundly in the room of the house of the people.

On the next day, early in the morning Hua Li had left the house. He decided to continue his journey back down the river flow from the yellow river.

Hua Li suddenly felt hungry and confused.
