The Adventure of the Kecapi

The Adventure of the Kecapi
Chapter 47

"It's a great pleasure to meet this family who are kind and valiant" said the girl kindly.

"Ha.ha ..ha...! it's better, because don't we all have the same goal, which is to oppose evil, let alone that of the Mongol lords?" balas Siauw Tech's.

"Yes, right uncle. Thank you for the hospitality and honor you have given me. Alright, Uncle Siauw, I will tell you about this worthless and stupid me. My name is Yauw Lie. I don't know who my parents are. During the war, the Mongols invaded and entered our village. I was three years old and knew nothing. All I remember is houses burning and I ran out of houses. I was helped by an old man who took me running out of our burning hamlet. The grandfather asked me, but all I knew was that I was Yauw Lie. Understandably, when I was just three years old" explained the Miss who turned out to be named Yauw Lie.

"Pity me" said Lady Liu, whose name was Lu Siang.

"Then what next? where are your parents?" ask the curious Lui Hong.

"The priest who helped me was investigating and said the whole hamlet was on fire and my Mother's father was killed by the Mongols" Yauw Lie said in a grieving voice.

"Don't you really be a Mongol!" Liu Hong exclaimed furiously.

"There have been many innocent people who have been victims!"continued Liu Hong.

"Calm down, sister Hong, let miss Yauw continue her story," Liu Ceng said.

"From that day I became a student of Su Heng's teacher, a hermit who had helped me. I was invited to go to the Himalayas and live with the teacher for a dozen years until the teacher died of old age" said Yauw Lie, who appeared to have wet eyes.

"Later Miss Yauw, you haven't told me from which hamlet you're from?" asked the curious Liu Ceng from earlier.

"Our exterminated hamlet is the hamlet of Kao-chun, a small hamlet in Sin-kiang Province. After the teacher passed away, I went to Tibet and studied with the pastor in Tibet" said Lie.

"Ah, it's worth your silat sagas, sister Yauw!" liu Hong said.

"Now I know why your speech sounds so rigid and foreign. May you come from Sin-kiang and grow up in the Himalayas and Tibet" said Lui Ceng.

"How can you be in the East Sea and be attacked by the Mongols!" asked the curious Ban Tok.

Yauw Lie sighed and pensively, presumably gathering his memories then he continued his story.

"After I studied the lama in Tibet and became mature, I left Tibet about two years ago. I went to the hamlet of Kao-chun to investigate, and it is true, almost the entire population of the hamlet, including my mother's father, was killed by the passing Mongols in the hamlet. I decided to march east and take revenge against the Mongol rulers wherever I was. I have resisted, antagonized and even killed the princes who oppressed the people so much that I became a fugitive. I continued to wander and on the way I heard the big names of the grandfathers and kang-ouw figures who were patriotic and opposed to the invaders, among whom I heard the name Snake Island. So, I tried to come visit and get acquainted with your Uncle. But when I was paddling the boat, there were four large boats full of Mongol warriors chasing and besieging. It seems they have been shadowing me since on the mainland. I tried to fight desperately, but because I was not used to playing in the water, I was afraid of falling into the water so I had to jump from boat to boat. But finally, as I was about to escape and jump into my little boat, I was showered with arrows. I tried to deflect, but an arrow hit my shoulder so I fell into the water." Yauw Lie told me, and everyone listened to what Yauw Lie said,

"Yes, next we've seen for ourselves," said Ban.

"Fortunately, the four of you came to help, otherwise I would have drowned in the sea, or died in the rain of arrows from their boat. So, once again I give a lot of thanks to you all" said Yauw Lie who immediately knelt down and saluted those in front of him..

Siauw Tek quickly approached and tried to wake the girl up.

"Here you go, Yauw Lie, don't be too shy. People like us are a group, it should be if we help each other. No need to thank us. But there's one thing I want to know. Yesterday when I saw your swordplay against the wrenching of the soldiers, I saw your swordsmanship was strange and shrewd. Similar to silver swordsmanship, but somewhat different. What is your swordsmanship, Yauw Lie?" ask Siauw Tek kindly.

"Well, your martial arts must be very shrewd, Miss Yauw!" said Liu Hong money praised. Then he looked at his father and stepmother.

"Father and mother, if Miss Yauw wants to help me and Big Brother Ceng look for the treasure of Sung Kingdom, this will certainly be very good!" yelled Liu Hong with vigor.

"Reprecreary?" ask the curious Yauw Lie.

"Dad, Mother, may I tell Miss Yauw?" liu Hong asked a little pleading.

Lui Teng, Lu Sang and Ban Tok nodded their heads, a sign that they had agreed.

"Look, miss. Previously Liu Bok, the father of Ceng's older brother was killed by the Mongol Commander and his troops, who, he left a treasure map to Brother Ceng with the message that the treasure was found then given to the fighters who wanted to resist and knock down the Mongol power." Liu Hong said.

"Ah, that's so good!" yauw Lie.

"Who does the treasure belong to?" ask Yauw Lie next.
