The Ex-Mafia With Single Mother

The Ex-Mafia With Single Mother
The Part 13

It was noon, Gail saw her watch. Soon after lunch, he would go to the restaurant where Cristal would treat him to lunch. The address he had gotten from Cristal, he looked impatient to leave. Hopefully his boss won't ask him to drive him away because he can't see Cristal until his boss asks for it.

Gail looked back at the clock, she looked happy because lunch hour had arrived. Gail immediately rushed towards her boss' room, she wanted to ask permission to come out for a while.

"Sir, are you leaving? If not, I'd like to go out for a minute. Can I?"

"Of course, I don't go anywhere because my wife wants to come."

"Thank you, sir," said Gail. Surely he looks happy.

Permission was obtained, Gail rushed away. He only had an hour, so he did not want to waste time.

Cristal seemed busy at the restaurant because it was lunchtime. She hopes she has a little time so she can accompany Gail because she wants to thank her but she thinks the man is unlikely to come but unfortunately the guess is wrong.

Gail stepped towards the restaurant while turning the key in hand. He even seemed to whistle as if he was happy. The door of the restaurant opened, Gail saw the restaurant so crowded. His eyes looked for the figure of the woman he was about to meet from the restaurant guests but in fact, he found Cristal among the busy waiters. A little disappointed he felt. He thought they could have lunch together, but they didn't.

Gail looked for a seat, her eyes not separated from Cristal who was serving other guests. A servant approached him but Gail asked the servant to leave. He kept quiet while watching Cristal.it was better than him working at a nightclub. Truly what did the woman experience that she had debts and had to work in a nightclub?

He'll know later if he gets to know Cristal. Think of this as the beginning of the two of them, even if Cristal wants to be with him. Cristal is still looking for Gail, he already guessed the man would not come. It was natural, that man would definitely not want to eat at a restaurant like that.

"Cristal, the young man there calls you" said his colleague.

"Me?" Cristal was very astonished and looked in the direction where the fellow was pointing. He looked a little surprised. Isn't that the man she was waiting for?

"Yes, go!"

Cristal steps away with the menu book, she thinks the man won't come but it turns out he's already in the restaurant without her knowing. Gail's eyes could not escape her as Cristal stepped closer to her. Cristal tried to smile, he had completely misunderstood the man.

"W-Have you been here a long time?" ask Cristal stale base.

"Yeah, at least I've counted a few people who went in and out!"

"Sorry, I didn't know you were coming."

"It's okay, sit with me and eat with me!" gail's words were like commanding so Cristal did not dare to refuse but he did not also dare to agree because he was at work.

"Why silence?" Gail looked at him with her cold and sharp gaze.

"Sorry, I'm at work."

"I've asked your manager for permission."

"What?"

"Sit down!" Gail called a waiter. Cristal looked unwell as his co-workers came to serve them.

"What do you want to eat?" Gail gave me a menu book.

"No, I'll treat you, you didn't forget, did you?" Cristal.

Cristal looked unwell, but she sat down with Gail. Cristal did not even dare to order anything. He just watched Gail order so much food for them.

"Regarding the money in the bag" Cristal said, looking down.

"What money?" Gail pretended not to understand.

"The money in my bag, I know it's money from you," Cristal looked at him, wanting to find out what was the reason the man gave the sum.

"Don't get me wrong!" a cigarette lit, "That's the money your manager gave you," the lie was that he didn't want Cristal to be offended.

Cristal frowned, is it true? He did not believe that much money was given by the manager. Even he felt to earn the money he needed a few days' tip from the kindly guests.

"Why? Don't you believe it?" Gail glanced at him.

"Bu-not so. I just feel like the money's too much."

"Stupid, isn't that good?"

"You're right, sorry," Cristal smiled faintly. Although Gail said it was money from the manager but she did not believe it. It was best that he didn't ask again because he knew, the man would not likely admit it.

The two of them remained silent, Gail looking at the clock in hand. The time was up, he had to go back to the office. The food he ordered had not been served yet but he did not have much time left so inevitably he had to leave.

"I don't have time anymore, all that food is for you. Take it home and enjoy it with your family" he said as he moved on.

"What's? But...," Cristal also moved because Gail had already stepped away to the cashier.

"Wait, don't leave the food like that" Cristal said, chasing after Gail.

"I've got to go back, my boss is looking," Gail pulled out her card and gave it to the cashier, saying, "All that food is for her."

Cristal was getting bad, the man had helped him a lot and now food was given to him. After paying, Gail stepped out in a hurry because she already had to return. Cristal grabbed the bread on the table and ran after Gail.

"Wait, I'm really grateful. Sorry again you have to spend money when I take you to lunch."

Gail's steps came to a halt, the man turned away but there was no smile on his face because he was not a smiling man.

"No problem, what if you just buy dinner? The night I had so much time, "it was just an excuse to see Cristal again so he could know more about her.

"May, but this time I have to pay."

Gail did not answer, Cristal was surprised when the man rubbed his head slowly, "I go first, next time we make an appointment again," he said.

"Thank you, this is bread for you" Cristal said nervously as she gave Gail the bread she had brought.

"All right, I'm gone," the bread was taken, Gail stepped away.

Cristal stood in his place and held his head, strange. Why was he so suspicious of the man's intentions? Let's hope what he thinks is wrong, hopefully the man really does well without any particular purpose because he does not want to.
