Leona was still waiting for an answer from Lucius. He wanted to know what exactly the man wanted. He was not a fool who could be taken advantage of easily let alone by a man he did not know at all. "I want to invite you to work together. I'll help you get Gail Bernard and you help me get the woman he's with right now" Lucius said.

"I have no interest in separating Gail from her!" reject Leona.

"His wife?" lucius asked and not long after, Lucius burst into laughter. Gail must have tricked Leona into not bothering her and foolishly believed Leona Pierce.

"Stop that ugly laugh of yours, nothing funny!" said Leona. He looked even more upset that Lucius was laughing at him.

"Sorry, I don't mean to laugh at you but I laugh at you."

"Is there anything funny?"

"Sure, he's not married. He's just tricking you."

"What's? It can't be!" Leona seemed to be in disbelief.

"What's impossible, don't you find out? He's just fooling you!"

"Damn it!" Leona kicked the table with both hands and looked wrathful. He had already guessed this before but he did not expect if his guess was correct. Should he be getting suspicious, a stiff man like Gail couldn't possibly be close to a woman let alone married.

"How are you willing to cooperate with me? We are mutually beneficial so consider it!"

Leona did not reply, eyes not separated from Lucius. Who exactly is that guy? For serious things like this, he should discuss it with his father, especially his father knows Gail better. Lest he make the wrong decision that makes his father angry because he knows, if his father is told to choose between Gail and himself, his father will definitely choose Gail who can be his successor.

"Why don't you answer, Leona Pierce? Aren't you interested at all?"

"Of course not, do I look so easy to work with? I'm not interested at all!" reject Leona.

"Why don't you like Gail?"

"Who are you really?" Leona asked back.

"Lucius, your father would have known. You may refuse now but think about it and seek me out after you change your mind" Lucius said as he moved on. The two Leona men who were behind Lucius stepped back. They let Lucius get away from that place.

Leona looked at Lucius' departure with much thought, did the man ask her to work together just for the sake of getting a woman? Should he go home and discuss this with his father, his father must have the right decision especially the man named Lucius said if his father knew him.

"Basic y'all aren't so fucking dick!" shouted Leon Pierce. Leona did not dare to approach her father, she did not want to be an easy target for her father's anger.It seems only Gail can provide satisfactory results for her father. He knows his father was never like that when Gail became his father's right-hand man, so Leon lost his right leg when Gail resigned.

Leona chose to enter the room, thinking about the offer given by Lucius. He thought for a long time and walked out of the room after his father's angry voice was no longer heard.

Leona looked for her father with a glass of warm drink. His father seemed to be kneeling at the temple because his head was dizzy. Leona approached her father, placed the drink glass on the table and after that Leona stood behind her father.

"They're all not so good. I really wish Gail would come back and be my successor" said her father. Breathing heavily was exhaled, it was very difficult to find a confidant like Gail because she really hoped Gail would come back.

"Daddy really expects him back?"
