Angela ran towards them with a strand of wildflowers that she picked up among the grass. Gail was still silent, and so was Cristal because she was still thinking about Gail's question. He had to think about this matter carefully because he should not be trapped. If not thinking about Angela, then she could make a decision for herself quickly.
Not only for her but she also had to take the right decision for her little daughter, the bitter life she lived should not be experienced by her daughter. If he makes the wrong decision, then he will harm his own daughter therefore he should not let it happen.
"Mom, look at this flower" Angela gave the flower she brought to her mother.
Cristal wanted to pick it up but Gail had already snatched the flower. Angela was surprised, Cristal looked at him with a look of wonder.
"Main with me. You want to, don't you?" asked Gail expressionlessly.
Angela stepped back, Cristal nodded at her daughter as a sign for her to agree. It was a good thing, thus Angela would not be afraid of Gail even without a smile on the man's face.
"Can Uncle get the flower for Angela?" angela asked as she pointed at a Cherry tree where the flowers were blooming.
"Of course, that's easy!" said Gail as she moved.
Cristal also moved, but he stood in his place. A smile was etched on the lips as Gail carried her daughter. Initially Angela looked scared but not long after, the girl began to look comfortable in Gail's arms.
"I'll bring your daughter to play, so think carefully about what decision you'll make. I won't insist, I'll respect all the decisions you make!" said Gail.
"Thank you, I'll think about it well!" Cristal. He does need time alone to make the right decision for himself and his daughter.
Gail carried Angela over her shoulder, the girl yelled happily because she was so tall. Gail takes Angela to the Cherry tree where pink flowers are blooming. The flower grew on its own in its backyard, as if the tree seeds were carried away by a bird that happened to pass behind its house.
"Uncle, I want that big stalk!" scream Angela.
"Can you reach it?"
"Of course, lift me higher" Angela said.
In accordance with the girl's request, Gail raised her as high as possible so that she could reach the cherry blossoms she wanted. Angela was so happy, she sounded horrendous. His fear was forgotten, the branches of cherry trees filled with flowers were broken. Not just one, Angela took two twigs because she wanted to give one twig full of the flower to her mother.
Cristal smiled looking at them, he did not expect the scary man could do such a thing although it was undeniable Angela still looked awkward. After getting what Angela wanted, Gail dropped the girl off her carrier. Angela ran up to her mother with the two Cherry blossoms she got.
"Mom, this is for you" he said, giving a sprig of cherry flowers to his mother.
"Have you said thank you to Uncle?"
Angela shook her head, the girl turned and looked towards Gail who was still standing under the cherry tree, she seemed to see something on the tree.
"Go, say thank you to Uncle" said his mother.
Angela nodded, she ran back to Gail. With a lingering feeling of fear, Angela held onto the man's pants so that Gail looked towards him.
"Thank you, Uncle," he said with a sweet smile.
Gail did not say anything, Angela's head was rubbed slowly. Gail took something from the top of the tree and after that she stepped away towards Cristal. Cristal's gaze could not be separated from the young man, it seemed like it was time to say the decision he had taken.
Cristal wanted to say something but his intention stopped because Gail slipped something in his ear. Cristal looked at him, and so did Gail. A cherry blossom was tucked behind his ear at that moment. The two of them stared at each other in silence, Cristal did not know what to say she must have looked nervous and awkward.
"Tell me, what do you want to eat?" ask Angela.
"Can Angela ask Uncle?" ask Angela.
"Sure, just say it."
Angela looks happy, Gail holds him inside the house, leaving Cristal holding her hot cheek. No, he can't be like that. It's just a compliment, don't let him get easily lulled by it.
Cristal started to step up, following Gail from behind. Although the man is good, but he should not be lulled so easily let alone he has a daughter. She silently watched her daughter who looked happy because Gail would buy her the food she wanted. A faint smile was engraved on his lips, it felt like he had not seen his daughter that much.
"Mom, come. Uncle will buy us food" said Angela.
"really? But we still have a lot of food" Cristal said because he did bring the food he brought home from the restaurant.
"But, Mom. I want to eat Pizza," Angela looked sad and down.
"But we can't waste food, honey."
"Disregard the food, you can heat it next time!" said Gail.
"Hm, don't you ever cook?" christal asked as he moved closer.
"I'm not a homegrown man" said Gail.
"May I speak with you for a moment?"
Gail did not reply, Cristal interpreted if the man agreed. Cristal asked his daughter to go play for a while so as to leave the two of them standing in silence. Cristal became awkward, so he forgot what to talk about.
"What do you want to talk about?" ask Gail because Cristal is silent.
"Me-Regarding your question," Cristal ventured up to him, Gail's hand grabbed and placed on his cheek. The man's hands were large and warm.
"I've decided it, I know no one is perfect and neither am I. Everyone has a past that wants it to be a dark or beautiful past but I don't mind it because I know, behind this bloodied hand there's peace and security for me and my daughter, too," said it.
"So you decided to stay with me?" gail's hand moved, rubbing Cristal's face slowly.
"Yeah, there's nowhere safe for me and my daughter other than being with you."
"Good!" Gail pulled him closer so their bodies docked.
"I won't take advantage of the situation" he said as he kissed Cristal's lips.
Cristal was silent, not going to take advantage of the situation but why did the man kiss her? Gail's hands were still rubbing her face, they looked at each other in silence. He must not be lulled, but unfortunately, Cristal's eyes were closed when Gail brought the two of their lips closer together.
His two hands were even already coiled around Gail's body, he also returned his kiss. Gail held him up and sat him down on the table, kissing for long enough until they both needed to take a breath. Cristal hid his reddened face in Gail's arms, while the man was silent but his hands were unceasingly rubbing Cristal's back and playing her hair occasionally.
Is this what it's like to fall in love? It turned out to be fun and stupid of him, never having felt that way before but now, he would not waste the chance since the woman he wanted was already with him at this moment.
