Gail's old best friend has come, she is ready to take care and protect Cristal and Angela at Gail's request because today is the day Gail will go to California to accompany her boss to run the business. Gail welcomes her best friend first before tidying up her belongings. He did not ask Cristal for help because he could be alone.
A man was waiting for her in the living room. Gail approached the friend who was waiting. Angela peeked out from behind the door, she looked terrified because she was always like that when there were new people.
"Are you leaving?" ask best friend.
"A little while."
"Where are they, I have to look at their likeness, don't I?"
"Listen, Alston. I trust you so don't betray me."
"Of course not, Gail. I will not betray you!"
"Good, if you dare then I won't hesitate to kill you!"
"Wow, there's no need to threaten. All you're gonna kill, then who won't you kill?"
"They," Gail pointed at Angela and Cristal who were looking over the wall, "Also my boss and his other family I don't care!" said again.
"Bas with you, but yeah, there's at least something you're not gonna kill now than you used to. You used to not look at feathers and kill anyone want it young, old or small!"
"I told you, I want to live a normal life but if anyone bothers me, then I won't hesitate!"
"Alright, I don't want to end up in your hands either so I won't betray!"
"Good!" Gail calls Cristal and Angela to introduce them to Alston.
Angela hides behind her mother's feet, she doesn't like strangers let alone people she's seen for the first time.
"As long as I'm gone, Alston will take care of you" Gail said.
"Will Uncle be long?" Angela walked up to him and sat on his lap without hesitation. Cristal also approached Gail and sat down by her side.
Alston was surprised to see her, although Gail was expressionless but he could see the man was sincere towards the sweet girl. Gail had completely changed, it seemed like she had started to get the normal life she wanted. Girls like Angela don't seem afraid of him even though his face is still stiff. It shows that he has changed a lot.
"No, just a few days. So good girl and don't be afraid of her!"
Angela looked towards Alston then nodded. Although she was scared but she had to be a submissive girl. Cristal also looked at Gail's best friend seriously, hopefully the man can be trusted because to be honest, he was worried. They spoke for a while and after that, Alston came out. Gail also goes into the room followed by Angela and Cristal.
"Uncle, why did that scary Uncle have to accompany us when Uncle left?" ask Angela to know.
"Just in case, dear," replied Cristal.
"Jaga-Jaga from what, Mom?" Angela wanted to know.
"From those who are always after us to collect debts" his mother lied.
"Is there still, Mom?"
"Of course, honey. We'd better help Uncle get his things done," Cristal asked.
"No need, I didn't bring much stuff."
"You sure?" Cristal saw the bag on the bed, as Gail said, he did not bring much stuff because he had finished taking his things.
"Yeah, come here!" Gail held out both hands. Surely Angela immediately ran towards him and jumped up into Gail's sling before her mother.
"I go first, Mom," she cried.
Cristal chuckled, for some reason they became like rivals. Cristal stepped closer to him, his screams heard as Gail pulled his hand so that Cristal went into his arms.
"I'll miss you there" Gail said.
"We are, too" Cristal hugged her, but Gail said she was only gone for a few days but somehow felt uncomfortable.
"What does Angela want? Uncle's gonna buy it later."
"Angela wants a baby that can cry" said Angela.
Gail scrunched her forehead and looked at Cristal. A baby that can cry? Is Angela serious or joking?
"Uncle wants to buy it, right?" ask Angela.
"Of course but it's better to ask your mother" Gail replied because she didn't know there was such a toy.
"Hey, why ask me?"
"Is there such a toy? Aren't you the only one who can give Angela a crying baby?" ask Gail anyway.
"Not the baby, Gail," Cristal held back his laughter, Gail must not have known.
"Then, are there toys like that?"
"Of course there is. Girls toys are of many types, provided you can afford to buy them but do not spoil Angela too much. Now he no longer hesitates to ask you!"
"But, Mom. Angela really wants to have a toy like that" said Angela, looking down. His face looked sad because he wanted it so badly.
"This time, I'll buy it but next time not!"
"Really, Uncle?" Angela looks happy again.
"Yeah, but remember. Angela can't be naughty and listen to what Mommy has to say!"
"Of course, Uncle. Thank you," Angela hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Angela, Mommy wants to talk to Uncle for a minute. Can Angela wait outside?" pinta Cristal's.
"Of course, Mom," Angela got down from Gail's sling and after that she ran out.
"Next time don't indulge too much, Gail. I'm afraid she's getting big-headed because of the affection you're giving her" Cristal said.
"Alright if that's what you want," Gail grabbed Cristal's waist and pulled him close so that their bodies docked. The hand was already on Cristal's cheek and rubbed it slowly.
"Is there anything you want, Cristal? Just tell me, I'll buy it for you."
"Hey, I just asked you not to pamper Angela too much but now you're asking me what you want. Don't spoil us too much, Gail. Anyway I don't want anything. All I want is for you to come back so we can be together again!"
"I'll definitely be back but you don't forget to take good care of yourself as long as I'm gone."
"Of course," Cristal tiptoed and gave a kiss on Gail's lips.
"I love you" Cristal said without hesitation because she had indeed fallen in love with the expressionless man.
"Hm!" Gail lifted Cristal's chin and kissed his lips. He also wanted to say the words but could not. Somehow the three words were difficult for him to say but he felt that without him saying anything, Cristal knew that he loved her sincerely.
Cristal hugs her tightly, she is reluctant to let go of Gail because she is afraid that something will happen when the man leaves. He was afraid that everything would change because of what they did not want, especially if they knew that the enemy wanted their separation. To be honest, she couldn't trust Gail's best friend because she was afraid that the man would betray her.
"I really don't want you to leave but I can't hold you back" Cristal said.
"I can't ignore my work, Cristal. Compared to anything, I don't want to let my boss down."
"I know, Gail. Sorry if I'm selfish."
"It's okay, it's time for me to go," Gail let go of their arms and stuffed the last item into her bag.
All the goods are ready, it is time to go. Gail said goodbye to Angela and Cristal, a request for them to be careful again. He also asked his best friend not to be careless. Angela and Cristal stand in front of the house, ushering in his departure. They even waved their hands and did not move until the car carried by Gail was no longer visible.
Cristal immediately invites his daughter to go inside, suddenly his premonition gets worse. He desperately hoped that what they were worried about would not happen but no matter what would happen later, they could not avoid it.
