Arrive in Britannia, a developed country that is quite Peaceful but has great discrimination between humans and half humans. Although already within his grasp, Rigel did not yet have the intention to change it as it would raise great suspicion. Altucray is famous for hating half-humans, when the world knows he eliminates the discrimination that has been set, it is not strange for him to be suspected.
Rigel is currently in a royal park that has several places on fire. Perhaps it was because of the Molotov cocktail he threw on a whim, to know how this country's protective magic worked. But to his surprise this bomb can enter easily so as to burn a part of the royal park. For this problem, closing your eyes is the best way.
"Now, let's meet that ugly slave." Rigel muttered as he took a step towards the kingdom, Tirith followed him from behind.
So far Rigel has not found Takumi and the other Heroes of this place. It is possible that Takumi leads Takatsumi and Yuri to leveling together. He seems to be following the instructions given very well. It's very likely that Ray has contacted all of them, and Takumi probably knows what to do.
"Slave! where are you slave!" Arriving at the throne room, Rigel shouted to Altucray who was sitting alone in the stop there who had just been repaired.
"Stop calling me a slave! What do you want?!!!" It was with annoyance that Altucray asked Rigel's intention to come here.
"You are so presumptuous of your master... Should I let you wear maid clothes?" The audacity of having to get punished, maybe making Altucray wear maid clothes is a good idea.
"Well, let's put that aside... Take me to Excalibur's place on the fence."
Surprised to hear that, Altucray did not expect Rigel to know about it. It was impossible for Tirith to tell Rigel because he had sworn an oath before the tomb of King Arthur. Thus, as a King and descendant of Pendragon, only Altucray had full authority over Excalibur.
"Where did you find out Excalibur's on the meltdown?" Speak with cold. He knew very well that Rigel was not the one to say such nonsense or second-guessing. He must have gotten information from someone who knew it. If so, the figure who knows the Excalibur incident then only one is unthinkable...
"I see, there's no need for you to answer. If it's the Queen of fairies, then I can't do anything. Then, for what reason do you want to go there? unlike you, I don't have any reason to allow you to go there." Altucray's anger didn't subside, but he just harbored it.
As expected, the permission would not be easily granted Altucray. Excalibur was already like the greatest treasure of the country and also what had been passed down for generations in the Altucray family. There is no doubt that foreigners are not allowed to know the location of his existence other than those who have Pendragon blood in them.
Thanks to the existence of Excalibur, the entire territory of the royal capital of Britannia could be protected from air attacks that even the demons could not touch in the slightest. However, that protector was by no means without flaws. An example is the Molotov cocktail Rigel threw into the royal park, it could easily breach the magic barrier without any problems. Which means, most likely the magic will only ward off something that has magic only. If it's something without magic, then it can enter easily.
"You have refused without hearing my reason? what right do you have to forbid me? Now that Britannia is my kingdom, you are just a slave who becomes a puppet king in my control. There is no place for you to rule me or forbid me, slave." Rigel stared coldly and activated the slave seal on Altucray's neck.
Electricity of purplish status emerged from his neck and created a sting of pain in Altucray's neck, which made him fall to his knees. Tirith ran towards her father with concern, "Dad! you all right?? Rigel, please stop what you're doing!"
"What right do you have to say that? Just because you're important to me doesn't mean you have the right to rule me, Tirith..." His words were cold, Rigel ignored Tirith and stepped towards Altucray in pain.
Almost reaching Altucray's place, Tirith hurriedly got up and spread out his hands to protect Altucray and block Rigel.
"Please, Rigel. Stop this, Excalibur is not something that outsiders, even Heroes like you, can meet."
"Well how does Takatsumi have Excalibur? if it's true that Excalibur isn't something outsiders can touch, then how do you explain Takatsumi's case?" His words were so calm, yet so powerful and hard to refute.
"That's..." Tirith stopped, seeing that she could not explain. Perhaps he himself did not know how Takatsumi could have it. But he should have found the answer.
"That's your father, that slave who gave you a little piece or the water Excalibur took out. In reality, he himself betrayed the words that outsiders were forbidden from touching or relating to Excalibur. Direct or indirect..."
Doubts began to fill his heart, it was true that his father might have violated the edict written on King Arthur's tomb.
Rigel approached his face with Tirith's face, they could almost feel each other's breath.
"I don't understand you, Tirith... You know I hate that shit and have given unforgivable insults many times. However, why do you still love the man who did that to your father?" Rigel began to whisper and brought his lips closer to Tirith's ears.
"Tell me, is your love real or just a hoax?"
Girls in general will hate Rigel if he abuses his parents like that. But he did not do it, instead Tirith still wanted to be by his side. Obviously it's a strange thing, unless there's some sort of thing that keeps him tied up. Not far behind him, Altucray endured the pain and tried to speak.
"... Itu... W-because of you..." He said while groaning in pain. Rigel did not understand what he meant, disabling the slave seal and letting him talk was an option for now.
"Because of you, his first love... Because of you, his first kiss... He's become very attached to you, and it's never gonna stop." Rigel remained clueless as to what Altucray was trying to convey, until Tirith explained it.
"Pendragon's blood is flowing in my veins. Pendragon is famous for his loyalty to the first couple he loved and the first person he kissed. When those two conditions are met, the shackles of love will bind us and our hearts will only belong to the first person we love."
Something completely new and very surprising. Rigel never knew that there was such a shackle that bound the Pendragon family. For that reason, it was obvious why Altucray had started to hate Rigel for having Tirith tied to him. However, despite knowing that Tirith had bonded with Rigel, then why was he trying to match her with Takatsumi? so why did Tirith look at Rigel at the time? although it knew because of Takatsumi's interference, but it was still a betrayal and not a form of loyalty. No, Tirith's most likely apparition was Loyalty, because she was trying to protect Rigel. But still such a thing is a futile effort.
"I don't know how to let go of those shackles... Therefore, I tried to match her up with the Sword Hero... In the hope that the shackles will move on to her..." Altucray slowly got up and explained.
"So that's why you tried to kill me... However, that doesn't explain why you're trying to deny my existence..."
"Don't worry... My hatred is purely for summoning a failed Hero like you..." A smile of provocation appeared on Altucray's lips, his eyes still having hatred.
Rigel did not feel upset or angry at the provocation he was going to, "Hehe, hahahah, Hahaha!" He laughed amusedly, "The hero you consider to be the strongest of the other Heroes... What an irony, to me, you and some of the other heroes are failures, so I have to bother taking down those who are useless."
Rigel casually passed by Tirith who no longer tried to block him and walked towards Altucray. Rigel pulled Altucray's hair and pulled it until his face aligned with her.
Altucray kept staring spitefully, "You think... Will I believe your words? mana mung—" He immediately stopped when Rigel cut his sentence.
"Or did you choose to reject her and let your daughter be my toy for the rest of her life? Whether it's torture, abuse, humiliation and everything, he'll still love me, won't he? Did you just look at it?" A smile that Rigel shouldn't show grew on his lips.
"Krghs! How could a Hero like you be so cruel and despicable?!!!"
"Hero is just a mere empty title, only a fool would be proud of that title. From the beginning I had lost the Divine Hero, so I was not a Hero, but a former Hero. I am currently the Administrator. The one who will rule the world!"
Just being summoned to this world and earning the title of Hero for free? Huh! that's just plain nonsense. The hero was admitted to the moon. Heroes are actually people who make miracles in this world and people who have saved thousands more lives.
"Now choose which one you choose!" Rigel presses Altucray.
In his old age, there was nothing Altucray wanted more than the happiness of his daughter. Tirith's happiness, his happiness too. He wanted to see how Tirith lived in front of him and pet the grandchildren from him. However, he was not willing if that person was Rigel. However, he did not want Tirith to suffer.
"alright... I'll show you the place!" Altucray gave up and chose a better future for Tirith.
Rigel smiled in satisfaction and released Altucray from his grasp. Altucray slowly tidied himself up and escorted Rigel to the temple where Excalibur was located. Altucray walked into his room and there was a large mirror.
Altucray formed a green magic circle with a star in the center. The mirror slowly emitted its rays and Altucray entered through the mirror, as a sign that it was safe. Tirith followed Altucray and last Rigel entered it. He was guessing what it was like inside, but all he got was a rocky passageway. It seems that he has to go through this and be patient a little longer.
After a few minutes of walking through that stone passageway, they arrived at the end of the passageway, "Hmm? dead end?" Rigel mutters.
A large rock covered the passageway. The thought that he was just being toyed with appears, but Rigel quickly refutes his own thinking. As before, there must be some kind of secret path or code to go to the next place. Even he would not be surprised if there were some traps waiting for him, since this Excalibur Temple was the greatest treasure of the Pendragon and Britannia families, it was only natural that the security was very strict.
Altucray spread both his hands against the stone in front of him, until he shouted something.
"Lessa! Open door..."
Well Mr...
The sound that came from where it echoed in the surrounding places. A moment later, the dead end in front slowly shifted like a giant door made to deliberately make people think that it was a dead end. Behind the rock, only a darkness can be seen by Rigel. Altucray and Tirith unhesitatingly walked into that dark space. Rigel followed behind them.
So far, it seems very clear that this is not really in the Kingdom of Britannia, maybe deep underground or somewhere far away in Britannia. It was only fitting that Rigel could not sense the traces of power from Excalibur, if the distance was far enough from what he could detect.
"We're almost there..." Tirith.
Rigel looked ahead and found a beam of light at the end of the road. It seems to be the end of their journey. It takes time for Rigel's eyes to adapt to the existing light.
"This is... Excalibur Temple..." Rigel muttered in admiration.
Right in the middle of the circular ravine, there was a golden shining Temple and golden colored water flowing, giving energy to the protection magic of Britannia. In the center of the Temple, there was a sword stuck in the rock and it gave off golden water.
There was only one road connecting it to the Excalibur temple and without a doubt Rigel walked towards it. The golden water did not stop flowing, like a waterfall.
"This golden water comes from the power of Excalibur which is slowly extracted into a liquid that gives strength to the protectors of Britannia. Not only that, this liquid also helps fertilize the soil in this country. We call it the water of life."
Tirith explained what she knew about the golden water—the water of life that comes from Excalibur.
"So that's the case, it's fitting to be called the water of life because it gives a decent life up there."
Rigel stared at the sword stuck in the stone. It was true that the energy that the sword possessed was enormous, perhaps he was the only weapon that approached the divine weapon of the Heroes. How many years or decades have passed, but the water from Excalibur has not stopped until now. It is likely, from this water of life that Takatsumi gets Excalibur.
"Hmm, it is very suitable to be called a holy sword... All right, let's try, what will happen when I drink it." A bold smile grew on his lips, and Rigel instantly created a metal glass. Tirith and Altucray did not seem to be bothered about it, so it was likely that nothing bad would happen.
Without hesitation, Rigel drank a full glass of life water and felt an incredible energy flowing into his body.
....
....
*BaDumb.
His heart beat as if to sound hard, Rigel was wide in shock. His right hand felt hot, hot and getting hot. He noticed his right hand and found the blue rune appearing without his orders.
"Riley!" Tirith approached Rigel with concern in it.
Did the Void or void force react with the water of life, or perhaps something else?
