A Different Feel

Scarlet was with her parents and they decided to return to Spain. Scarlet was more silent during the trip. He felt uninspired and not happy at all. Wh why? Shouldn't she be happy because she's with her parents but why doesn't she feel happy at all?

She felt something was missing inside her but what? He really doesn't understand. Scarlet was pensive, her gaze fixed on the cloudy blue sky. They were already on a plane bound for Spain and they were flying not long ago.

Alberto approached his daughter who was sitting alone. Honestly, she was worried that her daughter changed her mind because she did not come along with her lover. Not only because of that, he could see if something had happened between Scarlet and the man named Samuel because his daughter was so moody not much to say.

"What are you thinking?" ask father. Scarlet turned and smiled faintly.

"From this moment Daddy noticed you were so moody. Aren't you happy to be home with us?" ask his father again.

"No, it's not so Dad."

"Then? Why do you look sad like this? Is it because your lover can't come with you so you're sad like this?"

"Samuel's not my girlfriend, Dad."

"Oh, so?"

Scarlet looked down and bit her lip. What answer can he give? There was no way he could have said he was Samuel's bedmate because he had been bought by the man because it was so embarrassing.

"Why not answer Daddy?"

"So, I don't know what our relationship is."

"Why is that, does he not like you or do you not like him? But if Daddy sees it, he likes you so much because Daddy sees he's not willing to let you go with us."

Scarlet is down again. He knew, well, because Samuel already said that if he wanted to be, but to love someone again, to be honest, he was still afraid. The betrayal committed by Darien is still fresh in his memory and he is still afraid to start a serious relationship. At least the relationship with Samuel was only a partner in bed and did not involve feelings but why was their separation so painful?

That time, when Darien sold and betrayed him. It was very painful because the person he loved sincerely betrayed him and sold him out just because of a trivial matter. He still remembered how his pain, annoyance and anger were one moment but why was what he felt at this moment so much different from what he felt when Darien betrayed him?

Scarlet raised her face as her father touched her arm and rubbed it. A faint smile adorned his face. Her father smiled, I don't know what made her daughter like that but he hoped Scarlet wasn't always like that after living with him.

"When you're with your mother, don't show that kind of expression. Your mother would have thought you were unhappy to be back with us. He'll feel guilty and things will get worse so don't show that kind of expression when you're with your mom" he asked.

"I'm sorry Scarlet, Dad. I'm not gonna make Daddy and Mommy sad."

"Good, listen to Daddy!" Alberto grabbed his daughter's hand and grabbed it.

"After returning, Daddy will have a party to celebrate your return. You can invite anyone to come and Daddy wants you to learn how to manage the company."

"But I'm not very good, Dad. I had such a low education so I wasn't good at business."

Scarlet nodded with a smile, her father pulled her closer and hugged her.

"Daddy wants to hold you for a second!" his father said as he pulled his daughter to lean against his chest. Scarlet closed her eyes, but her bond with Samuel came when Samuel hugged her like that. Shit, what happened to him?

"Sir, Madam is looking for you" said a flight attendant who approached them.

"Let's see how your mother is doing" his father asked.

Scarlet nodded back with a chaotic thought. What the hell happened to him? She and Samuel separated not long ago but she already seemed to miss that man so much? No, he must not be used to it because he was always with Samuel but today he is not. The feeling he felt right now could have been a guilty feeling to Samuel especially when he left he did not meet Samuel.

When she met her mother, Scarlet smiled. He had to hide the unpleasant feelings he was feeling right now in order for his mother not to think that he was unhappy to be with them.

"Diana, do you want anything?" ask Alfredo.

"I want to be with Scarlet."

"Mom, have you eaten? I'll bribe you if I don't" Scarlet said as she walked over to her mother.

"You want to feed me?" her mother does not believe. He was very happy if his daughter would do it. Now she really feels like a mother because Scarlet is going to call her Mommy. The first time Scarlet called out to her with that call, Diana cried out of happiness. His twenty-five year wait really paid off already.

"If Mommy doesn't mind" Scarlet said.

"Of course I don't mind. What would make me most happy if I wasn't able to spend time with you" her mother said.

"I'll accompany Mommy, "maybe by busying herself, she's not drowning in a sad feeling that she doesn't understand.

"I'm so happy, honey. Come here, Mommy wants to be close to you" his mother asked.

"Get me food!" alberto orders his wife's nurse.

"Come, Scarlet. Lie down with Mommy. Mommy wants to hug you" her mother asked.

Scarlet followed her mother's request and lay down. Diana hugged him, her tears breaking as she was able to hug her daughter again after a long time. Although a lot of time was missed, but they could still meet and be together. Although the time was not much anymore, but the feeling of happiness he felt at this moment was really enough.

Not only was Scarlet hugged by her mother but she was also hugged by her father. They're really happy. Scarlet also looked so comfortable in their arms but she could not deny that there was an empty space in her heart. Although he dismissed that feeling but that feeling remained.

Scarlet really got the affection she wanted all along. Attention from parents, affection from parents, he got it right then and there. He did not take the wrong decision to follow his parents back to Spain. He hoped Samuel understood his desire and was not angry but again the feeling of sadness he felt because of their sudden separation. Will they meet again someday? He really doesn't know.

As she said, Scarlet feeds her mother a meal. Once again Diana cried, a feeling of happiness overflowing from within her heart. He had never thought of this before even he had resigned but who would have guessed, they were still given the chance to meet their daughter. She hopes Scarlet no longer goes anywhere and stays with them as she is unwilling to part ways for the second time with her daughter.
