Never To Blame

Scarlet was agitated, waiting for Samuel to arrive. He was sure the man must have come to see him. It felt impatient but only a few hours passed after he contacted Samuel. He knew Samuel wouldn't arrive quickly because it took time.

The journey from Australia to Spain certainly took quite a long time although Scarlet thought Samuel was in London but the distance from the two countries was also quite a long time. There was no way Samuel would suddenly stand in front of his house. Even though Samuel is a superman who can fly, he still needs time. It felt impatient, when they did not meet for a few days but due to his impatience, Scralet rolled on the bed and stopped when someone called him.

"Miss, time to eat!" a servant knocked on the door of the room while calling out to him.

"I'll be right out!" Scarlet tidied up her appearance before she walked out of her room.

His father was waiting at the dinner table, along with his mother who was already in a wheelchair. Scarlet approached them with a smile, her father even looked at her with a look of wonder and suspicion because Scarlet looked happy when her daughter was very sad because she was not allowed to go by her mother.

"Daddy's daughter why does she look so happy?" ask father.

"I'm happy to be able to eat with you guys" Scarlet replied lyingly. She didn't want her mother to know Samuel was coming because she didn't want her mother to think Samuel was coming to take her away. Do not let the condition of his mother back deteriorated like before.

"Come, Honey. All this food is for you" said his mother. Although her voice was slow because the power she had was not much, Scarlet could hear it.

"Thanks, Mommy. Does Mommy want me a bribe?" Scarlet approached her mother and before sitting down, she kissed her on her forehead.

"No need, let's sit down to eat" said his mother.

"Well, I'll get Mommy some food."

"No, Honey. Mommy can't eat that food anymore. If we could meet sooner, how wonderful. There are so many things we can do as mothers and children. I can take you out to buy some beautiful jewelry and some pretty dresses. We can do the treatment together, go to a beautiful place but all that fun I have to miss because I lost you."

"Mom, you're not the only one who's missed a lot. I missed a lot of things too. I grew up in an orphanage that was in crisis due to a lack of donors back then. I didn't get a proper education and because of that I was insulted even I was referred to as the son of a ja*ang!"

"What's? Who said that?" ask father.

"Someone, I have to destroy Dad."

"If so tell Daddy, Daddy will help you!" said father.

"I do need Daddy's help to get revenge later but I haven't thought of a way."

"Alright, Daddy will definitely help you. Just tell you what, Daddy's gonna kick it all the way to the moon!"

"Thanks, Dad," Scarlet smiled, even though he had met his parents and had been freed from the agreement because Samuel had released him but he would still make calculations on people who had sold and insulted him.

"I'm sorry, Scarlet. You should be insulted because we neglected to take care of you" said his mother.

"Mom, I never blame Mommy and Daddy. If I blamed you, I wouldn't be here. I will be disappointed and angry. I can't possibly come with you guys home so don't apologize, I never blame you for what I've been through."

"But Mommy still feels guilty."

"Bewear, I forgive Mommy. Now that I feed, shouldn't Mommy sit too long? I want Mommy back to rest so Mommy's health doesn't decline. I want Mommy to have a longer life so we can spend more time together."

"If so I have to take good care of my health" said his mother.

Scarlet took a bowl of porridge for her mother. My father noticed it from earlier. Scarlet said so, then how does Scarlet relate to the young man? Does he want to wait for his mother to die and go see the young man? Honestly speaking, she was afraid that her daughter was unhappy even though she was smiling. She was afraid that her daughter was forcing herself for the sake of her sick mother. If his daughter was just pretending to be happy, hadn't they already ruined Scarlet's future?

"Scarlet, after the meal Daddy wants to talk to you" said his father.

"Well, Dad," replied Scarlet who was feeding her mother. Although what her daughter did was simple, Diana was very happy. At least his daughter did not hold grudges on those who had been negligent even Scarlet looked affectionate towards them.

The rest of the food that littered her mother's clothes was cleaned, after which Scarlet finished not directly eating. She chose to take her mother to the room and help her mother to lie down and replace her mother's clothes that were dirty due to food.

"Sure, get some rest" Scarlet gave a kiss on her mother's forehead.

"Mommy loves you, baby. I'm sorry I failed to be your mother."

"Mom, I don't blame Mommy. The important thing is that we've met and been able to regroup.it's a wonderful opportunity that we've had."

"All right, you're right. Now go eat, your dad wants to talk to you too so don't make him wait too long" she said.

"Well, Mom," Scarlet pulled out a blanket, to cover her mother's body before she exited the room. His father was still at the dinner table, enjoying tea. It seemed like his father was waiting for him, I don't know what his father was going to talk about.

"What would Daddy want to talk about?" ask Scarlet.

"Eat first, we'll talk after you've finished eating."

"Well, Dad," Scarlet took some food for her to enjoy. Delicious food, he used to not be able to enjoy such a meal because it was expensive.

"Why not eat? Don't you like it?" ask father.

"No, no. I love this food" said Scarlet.

"If so eat a lot," said his father.

"Dad, what exactly are you talking about?" ask Scarlet.

"Daddy just wants to know, are you happy?"

"I mean Daddy?" Scarlet looked clueless.

"Daddy's answer. Are you happy living with us? If you're not happy, you should tell Daddy. Daddy doesn't want you to be forced because of your mother's circumstances. If you're not happy then Daddy won't force you to stay" his father said.

"What did Daddy say? I'm so happy to be here and I didn't have to."

"Didn't you cheat Daddy?" ask father.

"No, but Dad?" Scarlet looked doubtful.

"What's wrong? Just say it, no need to hesitate!"

"Hm, I think Samuel will come to see me. Daddy's not gonna kick him out, is he?"

"Exorcise it, of course not. It just so happened that he wanted to come, Daddy wanted to talk to him too."

"What does Daddy want to talk to him about?"

"It's a secret between men."

"Well, if he won't touch anything at home, I hope Daddy isn't angry and misunderstood because Samuel has a phobia."

"Daddy won't be angry. Now finish the meal and then come with Daddy because there's something Daddy wants to teach you."

"Thanks, Dad," Scarlet smiled, she finally conveyed to her father and she hoped Samuel would really come according to what she expected. He also wished that Samuel had come tomorrow so that he would not wait long.
