[POV Leo]
Ever since the announcement of my graduation entering the university-level Hero Academy of Eden, I was so unable to contain my nervousness. Just counting the days for me to start studying there, developing my talents, devoting them to world peace.
In the remaining time, I also recalled a certain figure. An innocent sister who is officially my grandmother's brother. It's really weird, isn't it? Why can I have a sister who is younger than me. The world is completely turned upside down.
I can only sympathize with that innocent little brother for having had a depraved father who would have impregnated a minor when he was old.
Because I feel homesick with that innocent little brother and frankly, he became one of my inspirations after I heard the news that he had defeated Ecila the champion of the international individual e-sport match where I became one of the participants who fell in it in a certain match unofficial match, I also intend to visit him before I have to undergo isolation in the Hero Academy.
Actually not only was that innocent sister, I was also impressed by her boyfriend's ability, the one who had put me away in that competition.
Without a second thought, I took care of the visa and immediately booked a ticket to Indonesia to visit the innocent sister.
And this is where I am now, in Indonesia, precisely in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
I saw Grandma Judith with her family, including that innocent sister, picking me up at their house. It was really a warm family atmosphere.
Long story short, I also stayed at the family home, rooming with the innocent sister. Then that's where I showed him my favorite game, The Last Blood.
Luca, such is the name of the innocent sister, seemed very interested in the game that I brought it. I see, she to the point of flipping through the cover, looking in all directions at anything written on the cover of her game.
With enthusiasm, Luca immediately invited me to play the game.
One thing that makes Luca look happy is that the game is completely unfamiliar with the term level. You only need to master the ability and speed of motion of your avatar to defeat your opponents.
The game was also designed with very good graphics quality, themed monsters that attack from dimensional gaps in the apocalypse age where there is a wide selection of weapons that can be used ranging from close combat pistols, medium range rifles, as well as long range snipes.
I heard that this game is inspired by the real events of the dimensional gap disaster that actually happened in 2057 ago in several places in the world including in America. Of course in gaming, the happenings are somewhat exaggerated for entertainment purposes
Then began the game from the reading of the intro of the AI from the game system.
“A long time ago the earth was a place of peaceful living. But it all ended just like that when monsters from the dimensional gap attacked zzzzzzzt”
“Whispering! Bla bla bla bla get out there!”
“Ehem! Because the system considers the intro a boring extension, then the system just directly on the character preparation.”
That it? What was that? Bug-does? Why does it suddenly feel like there's something weird about the game intro?
But yes it is. That's not the important thing. But it appears our innocent sister Luca is asking something strange to an AI that doesn't even have a thought of its own,
“You? Whoareyou? You're not the system of this game, are you? You're the same system that often follows me in games, right?”
I was also actually also confused about what Luca was talking about as if he could communicate with a robot. Well, I think it's just Luca's kidding for sure.
“Ai system cannot detect the intent of your inquiry. The AI system has synchronized your game body in Last Gardenia to the game system The Last Blood. Your weapon is automatically selected as a melee combat pistol as the weapon closest to your initial game character.”
“Happy to enjoy an adventure in this city full of monsters, blood, and despair.”
Hm. At least the intro in the end remains the same as usual which is the hallmark of this game The Last Blood.
But what was that again? I've never heard of a game body character from a different company being synchronized. I've heard that all AD series games ranging from The First Altoria to The Last Gardenia can be synchronized, but I did not expect that their games could also be synchronized with other games outside their company.
Really a great gaming company and frankly, I started to get interested in their games.
Then, Luca started his tutorial game where I watched him from behind while eating pop corn.
Luca's movements are absolutely incredible. I can understand how he could defeat Ecila who was without her twin dragons in that unofficial fight. Our innocent sister was really really great.
The monster he faced this time was a giant spider monster.
It can be said that this monster is a kind of joke that appeared at the beginning of the tutorial to mess up the mentality of the newbie players who from the beginning were not created to be defeated, but just measuring the ability of the newbie to where he can develop for the sake of the system is able to devise adventure schemes with the right level for them.
But what I saw, even the monsters that were created were not to be defeated, only became moons for Luca. I didn't understand how Luca could move that agilely, dodging every sharp slash of the giant spider's legs, leaping and rowing efficiently.
But unfortunately, maybe because it's not used to it, Luca is a bit clumsy in shooting. But at the end of the monster was defeated by him, the funny thing is that Luca defeated him with a fist.
There would be absolutely no original player of The Last Blood who would think of defeating such a sinister monster with his fist.
But this is a record. It was only the first time that the monster could be defeated even in a time faster than my record of defending against the monster, in just 7 minutes and 20 seconds. But somehow Luca's expression instead showed dissatisfaction when he was already doing his best like that.
“Sister Leo, I managed to defeat the monster. But frankly, I'm still a little hard to use this gun.”
“You want to finger?”
Confidently, I offered to teach Luca how to shoot properly using a melee combat pistol.
First of all, find a suitable opponent. We also moved from the tutorial district A01 to the district B36. That's where we met the goblins.
“Listen, Luca. How you treat a gun, then once a gun will repay your treatment. If you treat it gently, then the gun will return the treatment gently as well. Then shoot in a comfortable position with the arm muscles that are not too hardened but also not too tight. Like this.”
“Bang bang bang.”
Then one bullet each hit each head of the goblin into a hole.
“How? Easy right?”
“Ho.” It was obvious the enthusiastic face of our innocent sister.
However, I did not expect at all. In just one example move, Luca was able to practice that shooting skill that I was demonstrating very well.
After that, we moved to the B89 district, where many nimble octopus monsters hid inside a former laboratory building.
“Listen, Luca. Moving, whether it's running or jumping, firing a bullet from a gun isn't as difficult as you might think. You just have to ensure additional external influence on the motion groove of the gun bullet.”
“The most important thing, is the ability of the eye to assess the situation and focus on the target, the rest let your instincts work like how you want to throw a mango so that it falls from the tree covered by leafy leaves.”
“Like this.”
I also practice my words by running while avoiding tentacle attacks from monsters and then saltoed over them and shot vital parts of the monster. In an instant, I defeated the monster.
Now it was Luca's turn to practice it. And once again, our innocent sister put on a show that took me by surprise.
He's even more agile in evasive, salty moves than I've shown him. Then he started shooting every vital part of the monster. Unfortunately there were 3 bullets that missed so he was slower in killing the monster.
When I took her on the next tour, Luca suddenly said,
“One more time!” It seemed that he was not satisfied with the result and wanted to repeat it again.
This time there was only one bullet that missed so he could quickly finish his monster. But that still does not make Luca satisfied and back Luca looking for the same monster.
In the end, in the third turn, then he perfectly defeated the monster without a bullet miss.
But it seems that still does not make Luca satisfied. Only after he repeated the fourth and fifth time then managed to defeat the monster without any bullets misses, he was satisfied and finally decided to move forward in search of another much more formidable monster opponent.
That's how the tour continued and it made me even more stunned when I saw Luca's significant development in shooting skills that were beyond normal limits. Really, how far this kid will develop.
Seeing such Luca, I ended up being motivated as well. I will also study hard during my time at the Hero Academy of Eden, mastering various battle techniques, not only limited to skills related to shootouts, but so do the other skills, for the sake of being a full hero.
Like Luca who was originally only a dagger expert, but now can also use a gun, I will be the same. Apart from the academy, I will definitely also be able to use other weapons besides the pistol and dagger that I use.
Being an all-rounder hero, it seems interesting too.
But of course I understand that it is more important to develop talents that already exist as our specialization in addition to adding them with other skills that support.
Thank you, Luca. Thanks to meeting you today, now the feeling that seemed to be stuck in my heart slowly began to disappear. I'm ready to enter the Hero Academy.
