218. Luca Rises Second Grade High School

Without feeling it, my first year was over and now I have moved to second grade.

All seven seniors have retired from the club after they officially graduated High School.

And now the time has come for a reshuffle of our school's e-sport vrmmorpg team. But this is a problem, as there are rules from schools that require clubs to recruit a minimum of 10 members each year, while there are only seven vacant places available left by seniors who have graduated.

Since our achievement of winning the title of one year-end tournament, many talented athletes who are serious about their careers in the field of e-sport vrmmorpg, are interested in taking a glance at our school. Surely, a rising school like ours will be an exciting future prospect for newbies who do not yet know the world like them.

But everything is solved with money problems. Lia's father, Mr. Syamsuddin, sponsored our club so that it could accommodate more athletes. As a result, the fate of Kak David, Kak Ula, and Kak Zen can be saved and anyone who wants to join the club is finally allowed.

But soon a new problem arises. We never imagined at all that in addition to the old members and the ten new members from the first selection, we could still obtain a 351-sheet participant registration form. This then made Mr. Syarifuddin shake his head.

However the school facilities are adequate thanks to Mr. Syamsuddin, we are still short of trainers. That is why, Mr. Syarifuddin finally decided to still determine certain minimum criteria for someone to be accepted to join the club. As a result, we received a total of 105 additional members. What was surprising was that 101 of them were first-graders, only four of them were second-graders, not, who were in the selection for the second time, maybe it could be said to be the third time because this is the second selection we have had this year.

Among those many players, there was one that caught my attention. He is Akrea, a talented shield player who comes from the number one Junior High School in the central area in the field of e-sport vrmmorpg, Egi junior. Although he has not been as tough as Senior Areka for now, I can guarantee that he will grow into a very great player soon.

Thus, time passed and it was true that the professional level vrmmorpg e-sport competition was delayed. As a result, in the competition earlier this academic year, Lia and I were able to follow him together. In our team as a core team there are also Kak Andra, Egi, and Akrea, the talented juniors that I mentioned just now.

Then in the ranks of reserve players there are Diana, Sabrina, Chika, Isman, and Kak Inggar. Unfortunately, Kak Raia had to be eliminated from the first team in the competition earlier this academic year.

Well, but I see Raia doesn't care much about her either. Apparently, Kak Raia is more fun now when accompanying Kak Nina live streaming on her channel which has amazingly gained 1.2 million subscribers. We won the vrmmorpg e-sport competition early in that amateur-level academic year with ease.

To the extent that Gajel, Lia's former senior at Eden Foundation High School, was outraged at the duo Lia and Kak Andra by saying, “Basic traitor! You might even join an opposing school and mess us up!”

“Gajel, relax. You do not want to be said to Sir Syamsuddin, right?” However, once Eren reminded Gajel about the entity of the existence of Mr. Shamsuddin (a.k.a. Lia's father), Gajel's anger was immediately subsided which was replaced by a very intense fear.

Apparently, Lia was really her father's favorite child.

But it's not that I don't understand Gajel's anger at all about being among the 6 old Silver Hero Club athletes affiliated with Eden Foundation High School who have been around since Kak Toni's departure from that team, only Lia and Kak Andra are still in their High School age so the move of Lia and Kak Andra to our High School will certainly be a very hard blow for Eden Foundation High School.

I certainly didn't mind wherever Lia decided to go to school or form a team, because no matter how separated we were, I was sure our hearts would still be together. That is how beautiful relationships should be.

Two months passed again, and now without feeling entering the year-end competition. The position of the first team remains, but there is little change of players in the reserve position. Isman and Kak Inggar were replaced by Zevan and Asti.

Our club is increasingly in demand by many spectators, not only about the existence of me, Lia, and Brother Andra in the tournament, he said, but also due to rejoining Kak Nina and Kak Raia in the team as two extra players who will only participate in individual tournaments where they have been very famous as cyber celebrities thanks to the channel which is officially managed and run by Kak Nina.

In the final of the team match, I and the team met with Kak Krimson who also decided to enter the competition with no ban and his Phoenix High School Team as our opponent.

I thought that at the end of the day there was a time where I would treat this wry feeling in my heart about last year I didn't have time to fight them in the final. But with Kak Krimson there, I couldn't hide my feeling that I was a little daunted. He is a very tough opponent. Moreover, he was supported by fellow swordsmen, shields, mages, and clerics who were also extremely talented despite being amateurs.

Brother Andra decided to use his ‘sense of confussion’ style since it has become an uncommon skill to mess up the opposing team which was continued by my phase by receiving the buff Lia eliminated one-on-oneone opponent while protected by Akrea's shield from Kak Krimson's poison.

Shielder and swordsman I easily defeated, while their mage was eliminated by Egi since the mage was off guard and his attention was too focused on me. Unfortunately, when I was about to eliminate the cleric, Brother Krimson came to intercept.

With a poison trap that we never predicted, Kak Krimson immediately turned things around and made Egi and Kak Andra game over in the arena.

A three-way attack came from me, Lia's magic gun, as well as Akrea's shield aura attack, but Kak Krimson was so agile that he was able to evade all of the attacks while still securing the cleric held behind him.

Unexpectedly, the deciding match will be conducted by a buff fight between the two teams focused on me and Kak Krimson. It was fortunate that there was Lia on my team who increased my poison resistance, while there was no way for the opposing cleric to neutralize the death curse exuded by the aura of my moon crescent that had yet to be completely neutralized by the weapon. Well, it's like a bag of food on the chicken's neck that hasn't been digested.

As a result, Kak Krimson lost.

Like a pair of two light dancers, lia and I danced rhythmically adjusting each other's steps fusing the combination of the moon crescent weapon and our respective magic pistols in attacking Kak Krimson through the glittering ultimate attack.

Even though we were in a fighting position, Lia and I shared our happy laughter with each other in that romantic atmosphere. The glint of silvery white light added to the charm of the beauty of the girl in front of me at that time until unconsciously I almost kissed her beautiful lips if not for Aura's warning that suddenly awakened me.

As soon as I woke up, our faces both looked red. I was so embarrassed that I almost got carried away by the atmosphere. But it is undeniable that this will be one of our most beautiful memories, a combination of waltz memories in the arena that will never be forgotten in our lifetime.

After Kak Krimson's defeat, Akrea easily eliminated the cleric.

As a result, our Pelita Harapan High School came out again as the champion of the general competition at the end of the year in its second year.

But I think back. It's hazardous. If it wasn't for Lia's presence on the team, I would have died first in the arena about Kak Krimson's deadly poison. Just so you know, the healing buff of poison from Aura for now is already very good, but it is still far less than Lia.

To put it bluntly, I doubt that a highly lethal poison of Kak Krimson's calibre is capable of being neutralized by the power of Aura since the Aura entity is actually more focused on purifying death energy than poison.

If this was in a professional competition where the White Star Club was facing off against the Shadow Park Club, I would have long since game over under Kak Krimson's poison.

Lia is not a partner, instead will be a potential enemy of mine as well in the professional e-sport vrmmorpg competition. I have to train even harder for our White Star Club to win.
