[POV Nina]
That night, we received an invitation from Luca to gather at the assassin guild in order to hold a meeting that could be said to be prime for our extra guild, the Bamboo Shack Guild.
If you remember, we have done a lot of various activities, but I only realized that we have never even had a formal meeting. Luca, that boy, he's smart about fighting, but sometimes he's too egocentric to pay less attention to issues like group unification and the like through regular meetings.
Since we do not have an official guild building yet, so we use one of the rooms in one corner of the assassin guild building as our headquarters. I also couldn't understand why the famous assassin guild that was less friendly to the player could easily allow Luca to use one of their rooms.
Come to think of it, there are too many mysteries about Luca. He was clumsy at communicating, but somehow he had many relations in Gardenia, not only limited to the players, but also with his NPCs.
Was it because of his outstanding gaming talent that attracted not only the other players to notice and approach him, but also included the NPCs? I also don't understand, because I would never experience something like that about me being far from the word talent.
We also entered the assassin guild building with a feeling of anxiety. How not, the guild actually gave off a strange sensation of its own just by looking at the building from the outside.
Neither I, Raia, Chika, nor Andra seemed to be walking cautiously along the corridor of the assassin guild. How to say it yes, it seems that all eyes are on us. Lia was the only person among us who could still smile as usual in front of those murderous eyes.
I even felt, a little off guard, that my head could float at any time in their hands. That was how frightening the atmosphere in this assassin guild was.
“Halo. Are you not Luca's friend?” Suddenly a friendly young man whose hospitality seemed incompatible with the atmosphere of this guild greeted us. He was an NPC.
“I.. Yes, true.” However, I still couldn't help but answer the question stammeringly because of the pain in my back as if all the glances were piercing sharply right towards the back of my back.
The NPC smiled as he introduced himself to us, “Include me, I'm Derickson. I can be considered Luca's sister. I've already zzzzzzzzt.”
She introduced herself as her sister Luca although I was surprised how Luca was able to take the heart of an NPC until that NPC could take her so close that in her program it was embedded that Luca had been like his own sister.
Unfortunately at the end, I could not clearly listen to his words and so I looked around and asked Lia who was beside me, apparently she experienced the same thing. Maybe it's some kind of game bug or something, I don't know.
Besides, if that's the important thing, then Luca himself would have told us directly.
We were escorted by an NPC named Derickson to a corner of the room. I opened the door of the room. The room was so cluttered that it was filled with various mechanical components.
When I looked far behind the room, I could finally see Luca. He was wearing mechanical glasses and looked very serious about his job.
At first glance, I don't know why I saw Luca so handsome in such a mechanical suit. The nuance is somewhat different from in the real world because in the game, Luca's hair is completely black. The difference in hair color itself somehow gives the impression of a dark prince to the innocent child.
“Ah, Brother Nina, Lia, Brother Raia, Brother Andra, also Chika, welcome. From now on, this is our guild room. Hehehehehe. Brother Derickson, thank you for bringing Brother Nina and friends here.”
“No problem, Luca. Then I'm back to work first. Please enjoy your relaxing chat time together. Just tell me anything if you need anything.”
After saying that, the NPC named Derickson left the five of us with Luca in the room. Somehow the plot of the NPC's conversation with Luca looked so natural as if he was also a player like us. I either had to salute or shake my head at Luca's strange special communication skills which were unexpectedly very clop with the mind frequency of the NPCs.
If only he could also apply that to real people, I would no longer worry about him too much. In fact, Luca's friends to date can still be counted fingers. That is not separated from the club members. Even in her class alone, she could only be familiar with Egi and the other two geeky children in her group alone.
Forgetting that, I walked carefully closer to Luca for worrying about something after looking at the surroundings.
I also spoke to him, “Is it okay for this to be our guild room, Luca? It looks like the mechanical room of guild members here.”
“Hahahaha. It's okay, sister Nina. Since the beginning, this has indeed become my room.”
“You said as if you've been living in this room for ten years more even though two months is not enough you officially joined this guild.”
“Hahahahaha. Yes, yes, Sister Nina. Oh yes, Brother Raia, Chika, your weapons have been modified. Let's see first. This spiked guntlet belongs to Kak Raia, while this is a crossbow for Chika.”
“Wah, thank you, Luca. The crossbow is lighter and easier to fill with arrows.”
Chika said with her joy.
“Hahahahaha. Well, this is so cool, Luca. Very compatible with my style.”
“Swush, swush, swush.”
“More important than that, Luca. So what is your goal of suddenly gathering members? It is not usual for you to hold guild member meetings like this.”
“Oh? So Brother Derickson hasn't said yes, Sister Nina?”
That's how Luca said as he looked he reached into something in his pants pocket.
“Tada!”
“Hmm?”
Luca took out a crumpled paper from his pants pocket. Me, Lia, and some of the other members in the back also read the contents of the paper carefully.
“COMPETITION GUILD EXTRA PART 2”
“Luca, this?”
“Yes, since we have free time and meet the requirements, our guild will also enter the extra guild competition this time. It's a pity that we can't enter the first extra guild competition because it takes a minimum of 20 members. But this time, there is no specific minimum number of members requirement. That means our guild of only 7 players can also follow him.”
“Wait, wait, Luca. Will they all play?”
For some reason after hearing that remark of mine, Luca's expression slightly looked bitter. However, I could immediately understand why.
“That, maybe Kak Nina this time will not play because it will act as our manager with Lia.”
“Why do you suddenly have such a tangled look, Luca? Don't you think I'm sad for not playing? I'm happy to be involved even as a manager.”
“I'm sorry, Brother Nina, in this competition, I focused first on developing Kak Raia and Chika's fighting skills.”
“I told you it's okay kok.”
Despite saying that, my feelings were actually a bit hurt. In fact, even if she didn't say it, maybe Luca thought I wasn't talented.
But when I remembered her personality, I immediately realized that it might be like that. What he said is what he meant. That's how typical a plain kid like Luca is.
“Lantas, how's the race rule, Luca?” Lia said with a friendly smile looking at my face.
It was fortunate that Lia immediately interrupted the conversation which had slightly almost lost her mood momentum.
“Etto. In the qualifying round, all guild masters advanced to the arena and then held a survival competition where eight extra guilds whose guild master was able to survive to the end in the arena will advance to the next round.”
“Indeed how many extra guilds will come, Luca?”
“If all extra guilds will participate, that means there are about 85 guilds.”
“Many too. Is the arena wide enough to accommodate 85 players huh?”
“Hahahahaha. Certainly, the gaming committee had thought of that as well, Lia. Obviously, for the qualifying round, leave it to me. Then for the next round, there was a one on one match between the five member players of each guild.”
“Except the guild master, players are categorized by their level. Newbie, novice veteran, intermediate veteran, and high-level veteran. Then as the fifth member is none other than his own guild master.”
“Because we don't have any newbie players in our guild, then we will pass for his first match. For the novice veteran I entrust it to Chika, for the middle veteran to Kak Raia, and for the high-level veteran I leave it to Kak Andra. Then I will be the guild master who will be his fifth player, while Kak Nina and Lia will serve as cheerleaders as well as managers on the team.”
“Unfortunately, we will lose points in every first game due to the absence of newbie players. But as long as other matches can still be won, we will still be able to come out as winners with a score of 4-1.”
“Of course to get into the main game, we must first successfully penetrate from the elimination round. But for that, leave it to me. I'm sure I'll be able to get through it. How's everything? Are you all excited?”
“Yosh.” We all joined our hands and cheered the extra guild competition with excitement.
Unfortunately, Diana was still at her intensive training with the Guild Master Scout. Otherwise, he would have been able to join in this festive event.
