72. Lalania Empire Rebel Assassination Mission (2)
During the following hours, Luca and Aura watch the Other's secret headquarters, but the back-up shows no signs of his emergence. Luca's investigation ended that day with nothing.
The next night of earth time, Luca and Aura return to do his scouting. But this time, without a long wait, Luca can soon meet with the accomplice of the back-up.
“You ready, Aura?” Luca asked the pet.
“Of course, Master.” Answer Aura confidently.
It didn't take long for Luca to catch the accomplice after coming out of the enemy's secret base, but as usual, it did, innocent citizens who were made accomplices of the back-up through brainwashing magic regained their consciousness with all traces of the back-up erased by the dark mage who helped him.
But this time, there was an Aura that had leveled up to level 25 that could overcome that problem. Easily, Aura recovered the dark mage's magic traces and they immediately tracked them down.
Luca and Aura eventually manage to find the identity of the back-up, but as Luca guesses, the back-up is not an arbitrary person. He was the duke in power in the capital.
“How is it, Master? Should we kill the criminal?”
“No. We can be exposed to imperial law if we mishandle nobles. After all he is not one of our five assassination targets and the empire is only asking us to investigate who the sponsor of the rebel organization is. Let's for now, we report the results to the empire only.”
Luca was seen writing something on a piece of paper and then whistling a little and not long after, a bird hud-hud came over Luca's shoulder. Luca slipped the paper he had written something to the bird's feet and told the bird to leave.
“Let's finish our mission soon.” Luca said as he jumped down from the roof and changed the shape of his all-round armor into clothes similar to the clothes often used by commoners in the imperial capital.
He also immediately disguised his face into someone else's face which still looked similar to his real face, yet looked different to the effects of his armor.
“Tok tok.” Luca knocks on the door of the rebel's secret base, disguised as a bar.
The doorman immediately opened the bar door and checked Luca's identity. With his all-round armor, Luca forms an ID to match the form of identity cards owned by the imperial residents.

“Alright, you can enter.” After a brief identity check, the doorman unsuspectingly invites Luca to enter.
Luca looked around.
There was one shopkeeper and 4 guests. Coupled with the doorman, the total inside the building was 6 people. There seemed to be no stealth reaction so it could be assumed that no one was hiding behind the scenes.
Among the six people in the room, 3 were the targets of Luca's murder, Tasya, the shopkeeper, and two visitors who were at the right table, Garuda and Daar. The doorman and the two visitors at the table on the left seemed to be just ordinary people who did not know the true identity of this place.
Luca came forward with his innocent face while smiling kindly at the shopkeeper, pretending to order a drink.
“One glass Bourbon.”
“So soon dat...” Even before the shopkeeper replied in full, Luca silently had scratched the shopkeeper's neck causing him to die in no time.
“You!” One of the visitors who was also the target of Luca, Garuda, shouted angrily and then immediately headed towards Luca, meanwhile, two other visitors who were only civilians immediately fled.
Luca swiftly used his groin slash skill on the criminal which made the criminal shudder in shock when the Luca dagger was almost about to hit the area that became a symbol of his manhood. He also fell backwards.
Luca did not give him a chance to rise, then immediately ended his life with his skull-crushing stabbing skill.
The scout, Daar, looked frightened to see the action of the assassin, Luca, then immediately wanted to escape by activating his stealth skill. He foolishly did so without knowing that Luca was an assassin who was more proficient in stealth skills. Luca slashed the neck of the scout who was still in stealth mode and he died.
In that room, there was still the doorkeeper. He apparently did not take advantage of the chaos to immediately escape. His feet were shaking and his tears were dripping with fear. Luca approached him and saw the doorman only able to accept his fate because he seemed unable to move his own legs anymore.
However, when he said, “You, why did you kill Tasya? He's a good man. You, you will definitely receive his karma soon.” The doorman said accompanied by tears.
That's where Luca just realized, apparently the doorman did not run away because it was too scared to have the power to move his own legs, so he had no power to move his own, but because of the deep sadness of the case of the death of the woman who had just been killed by Luca. It seemed that the doorman put his sense into her without knowing the true identity of the evil woman.
Luca could only sympathize with her. Luca simply floated the handle of his dagger at the doorkeeper's head to knock him unconscious. He didn't need to kill her because Luca didn't use his real face at the moment either, so there was no reason to kill him to cover up his identity.

However, Rahak, one of the other remaining targets who was as good as the leader of the Other organization, soon realized the oddity in the room after smelling the pungent smell of blood. He immediately retreated away from the door.
Therefore, Luca also failed to give his ultimate impromptu attack. Now Luca is forced to face the target who is a level 50 swordsmen in a frontal fight.
Based on the teachings of his uncle, it was an unwise decision for an assassin against a swordsman of the same level as him not to mention that the level of the swordsmen was almost three times that.
That was because the assassin skill was specialized to provide surprise attacks, while the swordsmen skill was indeed intended for frontal combat. In terms of strength fighting, an assassin would lose far to a swordsman on the same level not to mention a greater level.
But now, Luca no longer need to worry about all that because on his side there is Aura, a gold dragon that specializes in healing and buff giving. With the buff strength of the Aura, Luca's strength can increase four to five times. In terms of power struggle, it was Luca who was on the clouds.

A figure in black clothes like a creepy necromancer shaman complete with a necklace accessory with bones as his jewel and golden hair mixed with a little bright-fisted black color, the only one who did not match his scary appearance, then approached Luca.
The figure had been standing beside Luca within just 50 cm without any sharp instincts Luca managed to sense it until the figure itself showed its existence. After Krimson, Luca never expected to meet this quickly with another figure that could not be detected by his sharp instinct.
Luca immediately put the horses on guard against the suspicious figure, followed behind him by Aura.
