The Newbie Is Too Strong's
68. Luca and Krimson, The Battle Against the Yate Tree Monster

For the sake of increasing my immunity to poison after taking up my previous experience in my fight against the green dragon where I could barely do anything due to being in a poisoned status, I was planning to visit one of the quest areas in the beginner village where many players recently spread rumors about the appearance of the basilisk there, the quest area looking for herbs.

But in that place, an encounter with an unexpected individual occurred.

“Hmm? You are a player? Want to find rare herbs too?” Greet me that person kindly. He is Kak Krimson, one of the core players of Team Shadow Park who will soon compete with Team Lia in the finals of the national e-sport match.

“Hello Kak Krimson, my name is Luca.” Sapaku was friendly to her. Uncle Heisel has always taught me that there is nothing wrong with building connections by trying to be friendly to strong people.

“Oh, you know me apparently. Hmm, I expected, I am famous.”

Brother Krimson then advanced towards me while extending his hand to shake. To my surprise, he was a friendly man. It was very different from his appearance in the battle arena that was filled with looks of madness and bloodlust.

Brother Krimson then brought his face closer to my face so that our visibility was so close.

“What can you not be one of my fans? If not wrong, I saw you in the audience last time the match even though your hair color is a little different.”

“Hahahaha. I did come to the last match Brother, but unfortunately I'm a fan of Lia from Team Silver Hero, Kak.” I just answered Kak Krimson's question honestly because there was no point in lying.

“Ah, the second battle healer who will be our next opponent is yes? I do see the boy's ability is quite great. But yeah, Luca, I'm a lot better.”

Kak Krimson's lips were slightly flanked with pride. He tried to convince me that he was the greatest. A few minutes later, time was filled by a one-sided conversation Kak Krimson praised himself for his greatness. Krimson's sister is friendly, but I admit she's a little narcissistic to a degree that's quite upsetting to her.

“Omong-by, Luca. What made you visit this area? You're not an alchemist, are you? It is rare for another class to come to this quest area.”

“I want to find the rumored basilisk in this area, Kak.”

“So so. So you are also interested in the rumors. But aren't you just level 18? It will be difficult for you to face the monster alone. Although this is a golden opportunity for high-level veterans to capture a basilisk that is in its weakest phase after changing skin so that it drops from a high-level monster to an upper-middle-level one, he is still very strong for you. There are rumors saying that the monster is level 49.”

“I'm confident in my abilities, Kak.” To Kak Krimson's question, I fluttered my resolve before him.

The apathetic face of Kak Krimson. He doubted my ability. It is only natural that my body is currently only level 18 even with combat experience as a result of my training for 15 years of life as an NPC in Gardenia. It was obvious that this avatar's body was very weak compared to my real body.

“Hmm. But I think you need to at least raise your poison-resistant status to level F first, Luca, before facing the basilisk. On the side, it would not be easy to find that rare beast in this one thousand two hundred square kilometer forest area. How about we go somewhere else first? I know one good place to increase your resistance to toxins before facing basilisk.”

Brother Krimson took me somewhere. I was hesitant at first because Uncle Heisel always told me not to carelessly follow strangers. But even though we only knew each other, Krimson was no longer like a stranger to me. There's no mistaking it, Krimson is a good man. So I thought it was okay to follow him.

“This is one of the wild bosses who are often avoided by aspiring alchemists newbie. The monster had a habit of spitting out extremely deadly poison once someone approached it. So you have to be careful, Luca.”

Said Brother Krimson to me while getting ready with his fuss. I see, Brother Krimson also used a dagger weapon, exactly the same as an assassin weapon like me.

“I know, Brother.” Answer's short.

“It seems, I don't need to worry huh. Well, it is also possible that a beginner veteran of level 18 loses to a tree that is only level 8.”

We coded each other before charging towards the monster. The tree monster that had lithe branches dangling like a snake then attacked us with hundreds of branches.

“Ptiui, ptiui, ptiui.”

The Yate tree monster even spat out its poisonous acid liquid at us. I was able to dodge well and unexpectedly, Brother Krimson who despite being from the alchemist class also moved nimbly to avoid any poison attacks from the Yate tree monster.

“Hahahahaha. This is what should be called fight” Shouted Kak Krimson.

Ah, she had returned to her usual insanity that she showed in the arena.

“Hei ugly monster, your poison is nothing. How about now it's your turn to taste my delicious poison. Hahahahaha.” Kak Krimson's laughter exploded while throwing his poison at the Yate tree monster.

Unexpectedly, the Yate tree monster that specialized in poison so it should be immune to the poison, was instantly dying after being exposed to the poison from Kak Krimson. Ah, this is probably what one of Uncle Heisel's lessons said back then that in order to defeat poison, more powerful poison was needed.

I saw Kak Krimson squeeze some of the monster trunks of the dying Yate tree to collect the poison into a large bowl. Then,

“Pyar.”

“Eh, Brother Krimson! What did Brother Krimson do to me?! What is all this for?!” I screamed angry at him. Without giving any cue earlier, he suddenly splashed the poison of the Yate tree monster on me.

“Yah, you just see.” Kak Krimson replied briefly while smiling mischievously at me.

Suddenly, a system notification appeared on my screen board.

“How? With this you at least, can last five minutes longer if you meet the basilisk monster.” Say back to me Brother Krimson stays in his mischievous smile.

“But geez, Brother. At least give me a cue dong if you want to throw something dirty into someone else's clothes. It gets dirty.”

I snorted angrily at Brother Krimson. Although he meant well by helping me acquire the poison immunity skill, but his actions were not justified. It's bad for the heart, especially for a guy who's always kept clean like me.

“Sorry, sorry, let me help you clean up, Luca.” Brother Krimson apologized to me with a face that seemed satisfied to see my annoyed expression and then poured back a potion into my clothes.

I almost yelled angrily once more at him, thinking it was something that made the other dirty, but apparently, the potion actually vaporized all sorts of stains on my clothes so that my body was clean again.

I immediately hid the veins back in my crown and then smiled cheerfully to him while saying thank you. However, not a minute has my body finally cleared back, yet,

“Ptiui.”

Piles of poison liquid suddenly flooded and dirtyed my body back. I can only smile.

A Yate tree monster reappeared before us, then spat out its poison on me. I was hit hard just like that. I really let down my guard. Ah, I have failed to become a good assassin.
