The Return of the Mad Witch

The Return of the Mad Witch
Devina Knows Rudolf's Plan

Valencia was endlessly gazing at the night sky, one of the things about this universe that he loved was the night sky studded with millions of stars. In addition, there is a moon as an addition to beautify the vast expanse of the night sky.

Stimulated in his mind came back about how the current state of the Mihovil continent was. He was very curious and wanted to know if his comrades were still alive until this time. Moreover, this had already passed over eight hundred years since his death. Valencia are worried that they are having a hard time when he is not there.

"How do I go to the Mihovil continent? I didn't find access to the entrance. It's so weird, who installed access that doesn't look like it?" murmured Valencia grumbled.

Valencia let out a rough breath, on the edge of the balcony he held his chin while watching the night view decorated with fireflies. The calm tonight makes Valencia feel more comfortable.

"Hopefully there's no big problem that's keeping me busy again tonight. I want to spend my time relaxing. So, please, don't bother me. Please yes, I have to relax for a while to get the comfort of life."

Tok tok tok tok

That was how he had said before, now he was confronted by the knock of a door from a servant. Valencia clucked, his gut feeling saying that now his leisure time would definitely be disrupted.

"Come in" said Valencia.

A waiter came into Valencia's room, it seemed like something important was approaching Valencia at the moment.

"What's wrong? If nothing matters, it's better tomorrow. I'm gonna relax, don't bother me."

Not yet the waiter spoke, Valencia had already attacked him using his chatter.

"Not that, Miss. Actually Princess Devina came to visit you. There seemed to be something urgent he wanted to say. Now the Princess is waiting in the living room, Miss," said the maid.

"Devina's here? Tumben. All right, I'll be right there."

Valencia hastened his pace, feeling bad when he heard Devina visit him these nights. However, Valencia tried to think positively before knowing the real problem. Even so, still he remained uneasy as Devina visited him suddenly without a letter and made an appointment.

"Devina, why did you ask to see me?"

Valencia was flabbergasted as he watched Devina's tangled appearance. Maybe he's here without getting ready first.

"Valencia, there's something I want to tell you. I can't keep this secret to myself, it's too much for me."

Both of Devina's eyes looked puffy, it was a sign that she had just finished crying.

"What's that?" Valencia sat down on the sofa opposite Devina.

Devina seemed hesitant to tell the secret she had just obtained. He was afraid Valencia would not believe his statement.

"So I heard something terrible."

"Huh? What is so terrible? Please tell me clearly so that I know the point of the problem" said Valencia.

All over Devina's body shook, her face as pale as a person who had just seen a ghost. Valencia patiently tried to calm Devina down. He still could not guess the exact reason why Devina was behaving like that.

"Valencia, I heard something hard for me to believe. I want to tell you, but I'm confused as to how," said Devina, her mind in turmoil.

"Yes, I know, try now you say slowly. Don't rush me to understand what you mean."

"I overheard my brother Rudolf's talk. He said out loud that he would carry out a massive rebellion. Tell me! This can't be true, right? I even heard that he tried to harm Mom and Dad. Was my brother joking when he said that? I'm really scared now, Valencia."

"Huh? What's?"

Valencia was surprised instead of playing, he could not control his surprised expression at the moment. Devina knew first before she told him. Now Valencia has to figure out how to explain to Devina about it.

"You can't believe it, right? I know you won't believe it, but I heard it directly with my own ears."

"No, Devina, I believe that Rudolf harbors hidden intentions."

Valencia finally decided to tell Devina everything. This he did so that Devina could prepare her feelings from now on.

"You believe it?"

Valencia nodded his head. "There's something I want to tell you, too. But I beg you to prepare your heart to hear it. It's up to you to be mad at me or not, but I have to tell you this."

Devina listened to Valencia carefully, she tried to listen as best she could so that nothing was missed by her. Valencia prepares the heart to receive Devina's anger.

"Let's just say, no one gets covered up from me anymore."

Valencia clasped Devina's hand, this he did as an apology from her.

"I already knew about Rudolf who was about to rebel. Know it? The various problems that befell you, Uncle Emperor, and Aunt Empress were all part of his plan. He tried to kill both of your parents. Devina, Rudolf is not a kind-hearted human being as people know."

"Everyone is fooled by the beauty of his front cover. Without people knowing, he is a human who will pounce on anyone to fulfill his wishes. I'm sorry I hid this from you, but I didn't mean it at all. I'm sorry, Devina," Valencia apologized.

Devina was riveted, for a split second she was crying so much. His feelings are not koruan, plus the explanation from Valencia makes it more chaotic. He even from the palace rode a horse alone to tell Valencia the matter. What he found was much bigger.

"Why did he do that? What is our fault with him? Have you, Mom, and I ever sinned against her? I don't understand" said Devina.

"He has great ambitions to rule this continent, not only that. That ambition had appeared ever since Rudolf was a child. He envies Stephen who gets more attention than he does."

Devina just realized something, her sobs paused for a moment.

"Could Brother Rudolf have killed my brother, Stephen?! The sinking of my sister in the lake was a very strange incident" said Devina.

"I'll tell you the truth. Rudolf was the mastermind of Prince Stephen's death. I don't speak without proof, I hold the crucial evidence to get Rudolf to jail on the murder charge. Now can you do some things for me?"

Devina wiped her tears that were still falling down her face.

"Whatis that? Just say it, Valencia."

"You must remain silent and behave as usual in the palace. Don't do anything that arouses suspicion from Rudolf. Don't let him know that you know the secret. Understood?"

Devina immediately nodded without a second thought.

"Yes, I get it."
