Sammy's Suspicion and Confusion

“Oke, time to finish. I will bring down magical rain that can wipe out the fog from the imperial territory.”

Valencia raised both his hands facing the sky, his hands held high while focusing his mind. In an instant the black cloud gathered in the sky, the cloud rolled together with the wind. Then Valencia let down his hand, as soon as a heavy rain fell on the land. The rain water seemed different from the usual rain, drop by drop of rain water mixed with magic that is useful to eliminate the remnants of fog that is still creeping in the air.

“Huh? Suddenly it rains?” Everyone who happened to be there became wondering about the sudden downpour sweeping through the entire remaining mist.

“The fog disappeared.” Reibert, Leano, and Sammy looked astonished to see the heavy rain in the middle of the weather which was very good at that time. They found no signs of heavy rain.

Here Sammy confuses himself, he senses that the rain is different from ordinary rain. Sammy stared long into the sky, assuming that the rain was likely only in their empire. Slowly Sammy questions everything, from the way his sword works to the rain that makes his mist disappear.

“See! The fog has disappeared completely!” a knight.

The imperial territory was already very clean from the fog, but they were surprised because even though the fog disappeared, the settlements and people who were swallowed by the fog did not return. They begin to dissolve in their minds, their feelings become unfounded because among these people there are their friends and family.

“The hole where the fog came out has not been closed, maybe if the hole is closed maybe we can bring the people back,” said Reibert.

“But how do we close the hole? It is above the sky, it is impossible for us to reach it unless there is someone among us who can fly. However, it is impossible for anyone to fly here.” That's what Leano said, Valencia can fly up but he does not want to show his true ability.

Valencia stepped forward, he raised his head to observe the hole where the black fog had come out earlier. As Reibert said, if they want everything back, they have to close or destroy the hole.

“Hey, lend me a bow,” pinta Valencia to one of the knights.

Without a second thought, a knight handed his bow to Valencia. They don't know what Valencia is planning. They just watched without asking what Valencia was going to do with a bow.

‘Alright, let's end this. Don't think you can escape me, even if you don't use magic once I can still use my brain to overcome it.’

Valencia pulled his bowstring, aiming straight up towards the fog exit. The hole is growing like a whirlpool in the middle of the sea, but Valencia is not worried about it. His pair of sapphire-green eyes sparkled sharply, he did not reveal a single gap to let the hole escape without being obliterated.

After feeling fit, Valencia also took off his arrows, the sound of clashes between arrows with bowstring was heard clearly. It was described that Valencia pulled its bowstring very strongly. The arrows shot through the air and lunged into the hole, everyone thought that what Valencia was doing was useless. However, a few seconds later, a powerful explosion appeared from inside the hole.

The explosion caused the hole to slowly erode slowly in space until finally the hole was successfully removed. All eyes that watched were astonished at once looking at the astonishment of Valencia. The reason, they think that it is impossible if Valencia fired arrows from a distance that is quite far from the ground.

“The settlements of residents and people who absorbed the fog have returned!” exclaiming a knight pointed at the settlement that appeared alongside a dazzling light.

They quickly headed to the resident settlement in the capital's square, Valencia let out a long sigh. It was such a relief after he managed to save everyone before it was too late. It was quite stressful for him, if he was on the Mihovil continent maybe this situation was easier for him to handle.

“Finally done! Time to go home.”

“You can't go home yet,” hold Sammy.

“Why? My business here is done, so now I want to go home.”

Forced Valencia to stop and turn to face Sammy, do not know what kind of question will be thrown from Sammy's mouth.

“I want to ask you.” Both of Sammy's eyes stared fixedly at Valencia. “Who are you really?”

Reibert and Leano immediately directed their attention to Valencia, honestly they also question the same.

“Why are you suddenly asking like that? It's obvious, isn't it? I'm this Valen—”

“Long!” sergeant Sammy. “Valencia did you say? Are you trying to fool me now? It was impossible for an ordinary human to have such an unreasonable ability. Even if you know something that we never knew before, you have a lot of knowledge that is not easy to get in a short time. Tell me honestly, who are you?!”

Sammy really pressed Valencia, he kept urging Valencia to be honest about who he was. Valencia had expected something like this would happen one day, finally he was now faced by his assumption.

“Now in front of your eyes, you see my body. So, who's looking? Is it Valencia or someone else? It's up to you to judge me as a Valencia or not. You better think about it one more time, how do other people get into Valencia?”

Valencia let go of Sammy's hand, he was already stressed enough to think of the strangeness in this world that happened after his death. So, now Valencia chose not to add to the burden of the mind any more.

“So, are you really Valencia? Then—”

“I know there are a lot of questions going through your head, from my changes to my unreasonable strength. I understand that, I will not deny it, but believe me that whatever is in me I get after my death. There's no way you guys don't know about the news I committed suicide, that's where I got everything.”

Sammy's suspicion was dashed instantly, he suddenly felt guilty towards Valencia for corrupting the girl.

“You mean, you got your power thanks to that death?”

Valencia nodded softly, Sammy so unwell that he had pointed baseless suspicions at Valencia. The girl is really good at manipulating things, she manages to get rid of Sammy's suspicions.

“If that's true, I'm sorry I accused you of not-no. I didn't mean it like that.”

Valencia gave me a sweet smile. “Yes, it's okay, I understand it because if I were in your position then I would also have the same thoughts as you.”
