Invitation for Dinner

 Sammy handed over some papers containing the results of his investigation to Henzo. When Henzo read it, he did not think that the person who attacked him was from the group of shadow magicians. Henzo knew very well that the group of shadow magicians was a group of vandals on the Mihovil continent. However, to his knowledge, the group has been obliterated by Klarybell.

“That means their leader is a witch. It seems that I got a very troublesome opponent,” Henzo said.

“True, Valencia managed to guess who the culprit was just for looking at the shadowy magician symbol engraved behind their earlobe.”

Hearing the name Valencia pronounced Sammy, Henzo's attention distracted, the girl's name has always colored the empire for some time now. Henzo's curiosity is increasingly turbulent, different from women in general, Valencia tends to be heard doing everything a man usually does.

Once again the name of Valencia is tucked between Sammy's explanations, he increasingly wants to know how Valencia looks and how the girl's nature really is. Henzo didn't want to know from others, he wanted to see it in person.

“The girl has a very high level of alertness and sensitivity. Although he now has a good reputation, do his parents still treat him like he used to?” Henzo suddenly asked a question regarding Valencia's parents, he was curious about it.

Sammy seemed astonished, not unusual Henzo asked about others, let alone Henzo seemed interested in discussing Valencia.

Henzo again chuckled, not usually Sammy showed such an unusual expression. He also thinks things have changed since Valencia showed an unexpected side of him.

The next day, Valencia received an invitation from Abraham, and he was invited to dinner at the palace as a thank you for his great contribution in saving the empire from great calamity.

“Actually there are still a lot of things weighing on my mind, but since Uncle Emperor invited me to dinner at the palace, then I cannot refuse it. What's more, Sean hasn't been here lately. In between her busy doing makeup, Luana – the female knight who is usually always with Valencia approached her to the room.

“No, you just stay quiet in the mansion. After I return from the palace, there is something important I announce to you. Get ready because what I want to say is probably happy news for you guys,” Valencia said.

“Alright, Miss. Please be careful when going to the palace because the road leading to the main palace is severely damaged, so you cannot pass through that road for a while. You have to pass a shortcut through the forest.”

“Yes, thanks for the information. I'll be more careful again.”

Valencia did not board the horse-drawn carriage as Adarian and Guilla forbade the mansion's workers to allow Valencia to use the important facilities in the mansion, especially the horse carriage so that the girl was forced to bring the dark horse – Black with her to the palace. In the thick and lush forest, Valencia finds a group of knights being attacked by assassins. One of them was Henzo. The assassins seemed familiar to Valencia, they were also part of the shadow wizard group.

“Your Majesty, be careful! It seems like their weapons are not ordinary weapons!”

“They're pouring poison in their guns! Please increase your alertness!”

The fighting abilities of the assassins were beyond doubt, they had abilities beyond previous assassins. Henzo looked overwhelmed, every time he slashed and stuck his sword into their heart or head, still they could rise after that as if they had an extremely fast self-healing ability.

Then they used weapons equipped with magic, which was why the best knights of Henzo were nothing in front of them. Henzo decided to get off his horse-drawn carriage, he was already so fed up with people who were harassing his life.

Suddenly, one of the assassins did something that shocked everyone. The assassin who was seen doing nothing from earlier, his body suddenly floated in free air. He pointed his small stick towards Henzo, then a split second after came a beam that shot freely towards Henzo.

“YOUR HIGHNESS, BEWARE!”

The speed of the beam was unavoidable by Henzo, but suddenly Valencia fended off the magic attack and managed to save Henzo from death. The assassins were flabbergasted in disbelief to see a small-bodied girl stop a magic attack that ordinary humans could hardly avoid.

“Witch? How dare you troublemakers on the continent of Solvey!”
