Chapter 1: The Child that is Ignored

"Dad!! Look at my grades!" A 7-year-old girl ran over with a carefree expression to a handsome 32-year-old man reading a newspaper.

The little girl showed off a report that contained perfect value. That girl is very smart for a kid her age.

The man turned his head for a moment and muttered and then went back to reading the newspaper, ignoring the whereabouts of the little girl.

The little girl looked down miserably and immediately ran towards her room. It had been many times that the girl had experienced the same rejection by her own father.

The little girl is Ran, without a long name who is the youngest daughter of Helena Brawijaya and Derrick Anderson, but unfortunately this little girl is ignored by her family.

From Derrick's marriage to Helena, they had 3 children. The first child, an 11-year-old boy named Abimayu Nugraha Anderson, the second child named Emillia Anjelina Anderson who is currently 9 years old and the last a woman named Ran who is 7 years old.

The Anderson family is the richest family in the city, engaged in food, hotels, property and coal.

Anderson family is also famous for family harmony and generosity, no doubt this family became a donor of several orphanages and hospitals that make this family more respected.

Helena comes into the living room with Abimayu and Emillia. The two of them immediately ran over to Derrick, who was busy reading the newspaper, causing the man to distract him.

"You guys are home? What about your grades?" Derrick asked in a row, the man put down his newspaper and held Emillia who ran up to him with a happy look.

Emillia offered her report to Derrick which she happily accepted. The man looked at the value of his daughter and smiled in satisfaction then rubbed his daughter's head proudly. "Daughter is very smart. I'm proud of you." Praise her while showering the girl's face with a kiss.

Emillia laughed and unintentionally the girl looked towards Ran who was peeping at them sadly. Emillia showed off a mocking smile at him and hugged Derrick tightly.

Kirania could only look at him with nanar. 'If they loved me like a brother.' His mind was sad and immediately entered his room, closing the door slowly so as not to disturb the happy little family.

Without Kirania noticing, a pair of eyes looked at her with a sad look, the eyes that had been silently watching the child's movements just fell silent without being able to do anything.

Anderson's family was having dinner together with laughter. But the atmosphere turned tense when Ran came to approach them, there were several various kinds of luxurious dishes presented in front of them. "Dad, can I come eat with you? I'm hungry." Pinta Ran with her innocent face.

Unexpectedly they stopped their activities, Helena immediately stood up and approached Ran who was now looking down in fear.

"You hungry, huh?" Helena asked cynically full of emphasis to make Ran nod his head with a broken motion.

Helena immediately picked up a new plate, filled with rice and various side dishes and then came back to Ran who was standing not far from the dining table while carrying a plate containing food.

Helena handed the plate to Ran, but when the little girl's hand was about to take the plate, Helena unexpectedly dropped the plate until it broke and the contents scattered.

"You're hungry, right? Your food. So eat it." Helena said without guilt. The woman scuttered while showing a disgusted face.

"But, bu–" Ran's words were cut off because of Helena's clash, "Hurry to eat or I'll throw you out!" Without pity the woman pushed the small body of Kirania to the point of falling down.

Helena pitylessly grabbed Ran's hair to make him look up, the poor little girl was crying in pain. "So you said you were hungry, right?" He said flatly which was only answered with a nod.

Helena banged the little girl's face towards the food that was strewn on the floor and pressed hard on it. "Eat if you're hungry, you fucking kid!" The impact while menguyel Ran's face hard until the poor boy choked.

After feeling satisfied, the woman immediately left Ran crying in pain, the girl's face filled with rice grains with a nose and forehead that poured blood.

The man glanced at the injured Ran, without any pity the man immediately left the little girl with no intention of helping. Shortly thereafter, the sound of a car being turned on and leaving the Anderson family residence.

A man with a sad face immediately carried Ran who was still sobbing and brought the little girl to his room while stroking the poor boy's back slowly, the man tried to calm Ran who was still sobbing.

After making sure no one saw, the man immediately brought Kirania into the room and did not forget to lock the door. The man sat the poor boy in his bed and took the medicine box under the bed.

The man painstakingly cleaned Ran's face and treated the wound caused by the broken plate due to the pressure exerted by Helena.

Ran immediately hugged the man and cried bitterly, "Why are they, hiks....." Ran's cry broke.

"They're so mean to me, hiks... Not even a care for me..." Kirania complained on the sidelines of her crying.

Secretly the young man shed tears lamenting the fate that Ran experienced. Somehow he felt very familiar and close to the little girl and wanted to protect her.

Ran expressed his sadness at the young man until finally the little girl fell asleep from exhaustion crying.

A fierce-looking man walked out of the Anderson residence and immediately headed into a dark alley while pulling his face apart.

Looks very handsome face jet black hair with some bright blue strands with sharp blue eyes in the frame of eyebrows firm, sturdy jaw with a slightly pointed nose, and, thin red lips and a clean face without stains.

The man was about 21 years old, with a sturdy body and athletic as high as 180 cm casually down the dark alley alone until finally arrived at the end of the alley. A motor sport is parked there.

The man, Albert Fernando Mahesa, was sitting on his black sports bike staring at the shining moon in the sky alongside the twinkling stars.

"Is she my daughter? Her hair and face resemble mine." He said to no idea who.

He reached into his pocket, saw some hair belonging to the girl in plastic and some belonging to members of the Anderson family.

"To make sure I have to do a test. If the mother of the child is the culprit, I will destroy the family." He muttered as he put the plastic back in his pocket.

The man reached into his pants pocket and took a key and turned on his sport bike. He immediately pulled his bike out of the alley and headed for the highway, blending in with other riders through the darkness of the night at high speed to somewhere.

Until he arrived at a hospital and came to someone and handed him some small plastic bags containing strands of hair.

"Please do the test. I want to make sure of something." He said to a doctor there who immediately accepted it with pleasure.

"It looks like you found something." Said the doctor who was replied with a murmur from Albert.

"Please keep this a secret, Joshua." Albert's Pinta was immediately replied with a mild ruckus.

"alright. I'll keep this a secret."

Albert immediately left the hospital leaving Joshua preoccupied with his thoughts.
