Chapter 25: Sparring

Two Years Later

Kirania and Ellios run through the darkness of the night in the woods. Every now and then they jump nimbly like a deer that runs to avoid the attack of the king of the forest.

The dark atmosphere without the light of the moon shining on the earth, the uneven roads, the rocks and tree branches blocking the streets did not make them stop their running as if they had become accustomed to this situation.

Behind them Albert ran after them while occasionally firing shots, making them dodge the pace of bullets that shot at high speed towards them.

Feeling cornered, they both stopped running. The two men looked at each other and nodded, then pulled out a smoke bomb to escape from Albert's pursuit.

'Boff' 'Boff'

"Damn, they're smart too." His grunts stopped his pursuit. "So where are you hiding?" He muttered while walking casually through the forest without reducing his vigilance.

"We need to split up. Can't we fight them together?" Ellios proposes while peering behind the bushes while observing the situation.

"You're right. Uncle Joshua is still hiding, while Papa must be looking for us. So what do you think?"

"You look for Uncle Joshua, I'll face your father."

"alright. Let's split!"

After discussing and arranging the strategy, the two of them came out from the hiding place, however...

"You guys are hiding here, huh? What a coincidence." A familiar voice with a carefree tone greeted their hearing making them flinch in shock and turn to the origin of the voice. Joshua was leaning against a tree while casually straddling in all-black clothes. Not to forget a dagger and a pistol hung beautifully on her waist.

"Sister, you're looking for papa. I'll arrest Uncle Joshua." Said Kirania while picking up a pair of iron fans hanging on her waist. Immediately he opened one of the iron fans in one of his hands until the sound of iron rustling broke the tense atmosphere.

'Srrieg...'

Kirania casually plays an iron fan with a length of 40 cm and a width of 50 cm if widened, weighing 100 grams with steel and silver stainless steel that shines in the dark of the night.

"alright. Be careful." Then Ellios immediately ran away from Kirania who was now facing Joshua.

"Ah, he ran, yeah." Said Joshua casually while taking out a dagger and playing it. He walked over to Kirania casually who was now putting on a watchful attitude.

"Well, it's both of us now. We're gonna spar until one of us gives up on losing." Joshua said with a sly smile.

"Looks like he's up to something." Ganymede's voice echoed in his head.

"I suspect something. Looks like there's a stink of betting." Reply Kirania by telepathy.

"Your smile is suspicious. Do you have something, bet for example?" Kirania asked with her eyes squinted suspiciously, making the 29-year-old chuckle.

"Your guess is just right. If you win, you can ask anything of me." Joshua's words lightly made Kirania's eyes sparkle for a moment.

"whatever?" Beo Kirania made sure.

"Yes, anything. But if you lose then you must obey my request." Joshua's words successfully made Kirania frown. He felt faced with a cunning fox at this moment.

"alright. This time I take you seriously."

"I won't hold back. Give up all your abilities, my dear nephew." Joshua pulled out his dagger and ran towards Kirania.

'TRANG'

Kirania resisted the uncle's attack with an iron fan followed by a kick aimed at Joshua. Joshua casually repelled the Kirania kick and threw a dagger at him.

Kirania closed the iron fan to resist the attack from the uncle and then again launched an attack. The two girls hands shrewdly opened and closed the fan so that the sound of iron friction resounded in the silent forest.

They fought fiercely, throwing kicks, attacks, occasionally dodging the attacks of elements coming out of their weapons.

Kirania opened the two iron fans and flicked towards Joshua. Instantly the man's feet froze and could not move.

Joshua immediately confirmed his dagger with a vertical movement that unleashed a high-speed red flame towards Kirania. Kirania casually opened the iron fan and flicked it making the fire go out instantly.

"Give up, Uncle. You're too old." Kirania ejek while walking closer to Joshua who now can not wart.

"I'm young and handsome, boy!" His exclamation did not accept, there was a twitch on his face indicating the handsome man was irritated.

Kirania arrives before her uncle and releases the ice that holds the man. After feeling free, Joshua jumped back and took a swing to attack.

'BRAAKK'S'

'Damn it, the kick was hard.' Bump Joshua in the heart while grimacing withstanding the pain.

'Sreekk's'

Kirania suddenly stood in front of Joshua and pointed her iron fan at the man while smiling happily, "I won, Uncle."

Joshua clucked in annoyance and immediately stood up while patting the tip of Kirania proudly. "Your abilities are improving. I hope you don't show off your ability to bully others." Joshua advised Kirania who was replied with a nod.

"Good, Uncle. As per the agreement, since I won then you must fulfill your promise." Kirania said with a sly grin rising on her face.

"alright. We'd better get to your father." Joshua replied. He felt his premonition was bad.

The two of them immediately left the place that had been filled with incisions and a few holes due to their duel.

Ellios VS Albert

Ellios ran while occasionally skipping around nimbly. The darkness of the night was no obstacle for him. Occasionally the young man glanced around warily.

'TAP'

Before him appeared a black-haired man suddenly from behind the bushes making the young man startled and stopping his steps.

"I thought you'd hide until morning." Albert said with a sneer.

"Not really."

"I want to see how far you can go." Albert said while taking out his samurai who immediately took out ice chips.

Not wanting to freeze, Ellios immediately avoided the ice by jumping here and there, and Ellios pulled out a whip that immediately released fire.

'BOMBS!!'

Ellios jumped up and landed on a tree while staring at the smoke from the explosion.

"Gosh, you're overreacting. What if someone was curious about the explosion? Uhuk... Uhuk..." Omel Albert was annoyed as he coughed behind the thinning smoke. It was seen that the man flicked his hand to dispel the smoke that broke into his nose.

"Aren't you the first one to take out the ice? You want to make me into a block of ice, huh?!" Umbat Ellios was upset as she ran to attack Albert with her whip.

Albert casually dodged Ellios' attack while occasionally fending off kicks and catching the maroon youth's whip.

"Is this all you're capable of, heh?" Albert started provoking Ellios.

Ellios attacked Albert more and more, but the man still relaxed dodged.

"Basic suck. It's my turn." Then Albert floated a successive kick towards Ellios who successfully overwhelmed the young man.

"Focused. Keep your concentration." Said Albert in the middle of the kick event kick him.

Ellios read the attack by Albert that there was no gap at all making her almost desperate.

"Calm yourself, boy. If you are easily provoked by a word, then you can die first." Then Albert threw a kick at Ellios. Ellios crossed her arms to avoid hitting her body, but Albert's powerful punch sent the young man crashing a few meters and rolling on the ground.

"You can't control your emotions yet, Ellios." Albert approached Ellios and stretched out his hand. Ellios received the helping hand and immediately stood up limped.

Ellios just kept quiet and digested Albert's words. What this guardian said was true. He was not able to control his emotions, let alone the soul tattooed Leo busy nagging makes him lose concentration.
