Happy reading!

After spending until the afternoon, I was finally home to prepare because Delano would come to pick me up soon. Since then, I was still pensive in front of a mirror, looking at myself with doubt.

"Do I deserve Delano? Right now, he is a young CEO, while I ...." For some reason it was difficult to cast doubt, even though Delano told me that it was not a problem for him.

Amidst the doubt that never disappeared from my mind, suddenly the sound of knocking on the door sounded along with the voice of the mother who called me.

"Delano has come." I also moved from my sitting position. Stepping to the door to see my mother.

"Yes, Mom. I'm ready for this.".

"You want to go with Denis, huh, Lissa?" The question immediately stopped my steps. I was very surprised when I heard my mother's words.

"Not Denis, Mom. I haven't seen him in a long time either. Last time was at Mira's funeral, 11 months ago."

"But, below is Denis. He's coming with Keisha."

I was honestly surprised by his arrival. Something I never thought of when since Mira's death she's kind of shied away from mom and me. Although she never restricted us from meeting Keisha at her house while she was at work.

"Do you want her to come and bring Keisha? Did he want to leave Keisha with Mom, but instead of all this time Mas Denis has hired two baby sitters to take care of his daughter."

"Come, but I think it's good to see him before Delano comes!"

I thought for a moment too. Actually I feel awkward if I have to go back to meet Mas Denis. Moreover, the memories of the time in the hospital made me keep my distance from him.

"Metul also said Mother. Although I was actually lazy, but it seems I should know what the reason came to see me," my mind finally decided, even though it was a hard decision for me to choose.

"How, Lissa? You want to meet him?" Mother asked me again when she saw me just pensively without answering what was asked.

"No, I don't want to see him, Mom."

"Why, Lissa?" asked my mother still looking at me who looked silent before going down the stairs.

"I'm afraid that Mas Denis is still forcing me to go back to him. So, I'd better just find her."

"But he wants to see you, Lissa. I asked her if she had any business here, but she didn't answer and just said she wanted to see you."

What she said further added to my curiosity, only that I was reluctant to meet her. I'm afraid he'll come back to do reckless things even if my mom is around.

"How are you, Mom? I'm still traumatized from the hospital. I've told you the same thing, Mother." I continued to convince my mother to understand that I did not want to meet Mas Denis at this time.

"You can't do that, Lissa. I think with the loss of Mira, Denis must have changed a lot. The proof is that when Mom went to her house, Inah often told Mother that Denis rarely went out of the room during the holidays. Denis also looked very sad and lost his appetite. Yeah, I don't know what she's thinking, but I think Denis is sorry he wasted Mira in his life. Actually Mother also had time to get angry and feel disappointed after knowing how their household from you, let alone you also know, right? Almost a month Mother did not come to visit Keisha because she was lazy to meet Denis. It's just, I remember the last message Mira delivered with you. So, I don't think we can just cut our relationship with Denis as long as there's Keisha."

I who had not previously insisted on refusing to see Mas Denis, finally began to falter. Yeah, the more I think about everything you're saying, the more I understand that it's true. Right now, I still have an obligation to fulfill Mira's last request, even though I can't go back with Mas Denis, but I can still keep Keisha as my niece. That means I have to keep a good relationship with Mas Denis.

"Yes, I was right .. It seems I had no other choice. It's not just for Keisha's sake, but also for my promise to Mira."

My answer immediately raised a smile from both corners of my mother's lips that had been waiting for my answer anxiously.

"Thank God, Lissa. I hope what I thought was right. I hope Denis has changed and is no longer what he used to be."

After saying that, my mother immediately led my steps down the stairs. I hope what I choose is not wrong. I hope I'm right this time.
